Darci has always been my favorite doll. She is one of the few dolls I still have from when I was a kid! I buy her too whenever I find her for a decent price. Thank for posting the video and letting more people know about her.
Hey there, Tim and George! You guys have such fun doing these videos, don’t you? I really enjoy your channel. I wanted to tell you that I have the Darci doll. I love the way she’s made, and I wish she would’ve been continued longer because I think she really Deserved to have more friends and to be made for more girls to enjoy. I was lucky to get her. Keep up the good work guys.😊
@@vintagedollhunters Hi, another great video as usual. Did these folks come in the African American version also ???? if so I think I had one. Lol That name rings a bell to me every time I hear it.
You guys are adorable and so much fun to watch! I remember those Darci photos and playing with my friend Amy Darci collection as a 1970s kid. She was so nice to share her toys. I remember Darci had a lilac organza halter dress with removable bell sleeves. I can't collect anymore anything lol but love learning more about collectibles and admiring vintage treasures. Thanks for the video.
@@vintagedollhunters I know but she was launched in 1979 and discontinued in 1982 i own 30 + of them i know her history if anyone was interested in collecting them there not that worried about manufacturing dated just when she was issued so i was correct ...
I am a big Darci collector. Other than the white body suit and wrap, none of the other outfits are Darci originals. I have most of the Darci outfits and accessories and about 8 dolls. Other than the blond, brunette and redhead Darcis, there is the fragrance one that came with a hot pink and white outfit. There is also Darci's best friend Erica, which is a brunette with a different face. And her other friend, Dana, who is Africa American, very beautiful face. Darci was not "big" it is a different ratio than Barbie, and it was made to have realistic proportions and a more realistic face (compare to the face on 70's-80's Barbies). There was another doll from the early 70's called Dusty. Darci shares the share size, the same as the Bionic Woman and Wonder Woman dolls. Finally, the Jem dolls were designed based on Darci, and share the same size and proportions. Thank you for showcasing this beautiful doll. Maybe I could share my dolls with you sometime.
I love your videos, they are so informative and entertaining! Do you happen to have any of the Kenner Dusty dolls in your collection? I would LOVE to see an episode about her...
Sarah H thank you for the wonderful comment🤩 We do have some Dusty dolls, but still hunting for more ti give a great episode. Please keep tuning in for more doll hunts🤩
you guys Rock you need to get into the battery operated dolls from remco, mattel, topper, ideal etc from the 60s and early 70s.There was a ton of them made. You also need to check out Dawn dolls made by Topper. They were made to compete with Barbie
Uniquely she can do side splits. She was a little thicker and couldn't wear Barbie's clothes. But do you know who's clothes she could wear? 12 inch Princess Leia. the Clone dolls swam in their clothes so sometimes their outfits would fit too.

vansse Mccreadie Yay, thank you🥰 We appreciate the nice comment, keep watching for more episodes. 🤩
Many people known Leah Ayres from the movie Bloodsport , but I'm sure just a handful of people know that she is the Darci doll .

Topsx4 thank you for checking us out🤩 we will keep our eyes out.
I think Darci used the same size body as the 80 Jem dolls. They can wear the same clothes and shoes. But her 70s clothes are more appropriate for her.

Hey guys! I knew that Dacri dolls wear non-labled clothes. It means handmade by someone.
wow, the blue one truly amazing!!
Darci had realistic feet not drag queen feet, they were made to kick Barbie's ass!!!!!!!!
mrfrogbutt1 lol..😆🤣😂 thank you for your comment. All in fun, please return for more episodes 🤩
Darci had Big Drag queen feet, Barbie had little Dainty Feet.
I think Darci was Neat, but I can imagine she looked like a Big Lesbian next to Barbie.
Big feet are more realistic!
