I just stopped and looked at one almost identical to it between Eureka Springs and Berryville AR. for $15,000
We used to call them Marlin Stallers. It really is a great thing but it doesn't like carburetor's or the other way around. Got to meet and share a camp fire with Marlin many years back and he was a great guy. R.I.P. Marlin.
IMHO I know because of wet conditions usually it comes down to just sending it but I think a video showing the difference between crawlin it, rollin thru it, a small bump, a bump and sendin it each is exactly. A little knowledge would prevent a lot of carnage. You can thank me later for a lot of views 😂. Nice build/builds by the way.
Me and my son went to windrock for the first time last week on a Saturday. We was praying to run into you. We talked about you at the counter getting our tickets, and how much we love your videos, and they absolutely love you there! It was a good day. Hopefully we will run into you in the future.

Man $6500 is a great deal on that rig. Like a lot of folks, I hate to see it torn apart, but I’d rather see what you guys build. Really wish you had more time with it to really make a fun and eye catching buggy or trail trash. 😂

That 5 speed probably needs a new bushing on the shifter. You wont be able to shift it after a while if you dont replace it
Luckily we dont need it but if we put it in another crawler I'll remember to change the bushing, thanks!

My buddy used to own that truck !!! Iv seen it chin deep in mud 😂 he sold it to a boy in GA and they did a bunch of work to it. If its the same truck before the cage it had a flat bed
If you flood a carb. Hold the pedal to the floor and crank the engine. I used to pump it 8 times to know it flooded and then hold the pedal. They would usually start in 5 seconds. No matter the brand.

22 casings are what you put in the fusebox when you can't find the problem that's popping fuses then you watch for smoking wires and fix the problem and toss a fuse back in
Those are the best Toyota seats. Im impressed that the Weber carb did as well as it did. Matt want to test it... They both did well. That thing is formable.
It did extremely well for the price.

I've had that machine on 80s same gears on carb you need a sump in the fuel cell so the pump has fuel at all levels

I went to look at a CJ-7 for $500. and while talking with the guy he figured I'd be a good caretaker of it...He reduced the amount so I couldn't help but buy another project.😮

Very capable vehicle, just needs a new shifter or shifter bushing and some sort of EFI instead of that old carb, (or propane).
I'd take Josh's beater jeep over that crawler any day .

I built my xj watching your videos I actually helped cut in 39 and rail trail with the rattle rock club yrs ago Cadillac hill and little mule trail are named after my dads old cab truck that was named little mule

Put the axles out of the Ford under the Toyota. Then you can wheel it for fun and build it later.
And fuel injection is a must.
Hey now my YJ is still a carbureted 350 and that's because I'm on a poor man's salary and can't afford the fuel injection kit. P. S. If anybody feels nice I could use a Holley EFI. 😂

Hey bleepinjeep i have a question for you what brand lift kits do you run on your Cherokee’s I had a rough country 4.5 long arm kit but I kept blowing joints left and right it’s my daily I’m trying to find something that rides halfway decent or will give me less problems 😂
Well, any lifted rig is going to require way more maintenance. But sounds like something else is wrong if you keep blowing stuff up. But if it’s not other issues, maybe try iron rock, I like their stuff. Lots of other good ones too.
@@bleepinjeep I mean maybe I didn’t have them adjusted right it was my first Cherokee I built now on to the next one but everyone said rough country was a cheaper lift so I just wanted to see what your opinion was and I’ll look into iron rock thank you 🙏
Are you & Josh going to build that YJ? That’s the one I’m looking forward to if so. I have a 94. I plan on doing a 5.3, Th350, 4 link. Unfortunately my plans are bigger than my skill level and money lol. Never messed with a 4 link or so anything suspension wise other lift kits.

The shifter bushings in those are pretty simple to replace, just annoying.
User error on the Marlin box. It is a crawl box and stays in neutral till it's needed. $6500 is a considered a steal for any old Toyota built or not. I got a real steal when I got my 84' 4x4 for $1300
Well idk then because when it goes into neutral the whole truck goes into neutral and rolls backwards down the hill.
Crawl box runs in high until you need to go extra slow.Neutral is same as in the main case and you have no drive period.lol
I stand corrected, I ment in high gear. seems like the shifters are not clocked correctly or by the looks of it the transmission shift doesn't look right.

Are the tires on the toyota still in "good" shape they look balled and warned out from on road use and they look like they should be more aggressive tred if they were newer or am i just uneducated in tires that much
Nah, they have about 50 percent tread left and when we groove them that will bring ‘em back to life!

$6500 pretty good steal for the parts. Get rid of the dodge and make a frame for the Jag using the Toyota. Save some dollars. Very capable crawler. If I saw it first you would not have it.
