Putting aside for a second the fact that Merlin's eternal nature makes him, uh, well, sort of, God, doesn't anyone wonder why he, "magic itself" had less power than the Sidthe and could not save Arthur? Balinor said his great destiny was just beginning, and hours later Arthur is dead in his arms! What destiny is left for him? Sorry, I'm still mourning. This is a marvelous wonderful video! Thank you!
I'm still upset they never showed Arthur and Merlin side by side with Merlin as Arthurs own scorcerer and councelor fighting alongside each other and magic being accepted once again the show ended when it was getting to the best part!
@Tiber River one point I never understood was why Merlin couldn't save his father from dying. His father was stabbed by a normal sword, certainly not one 'made of dragon's breath'. Merlin should have been able to heal his father.
@@granville7 he had not realized all his full potential then. And his father had to die so he would become the next dragon. He could have saved his father but Arthur was there and he couldn't let him know.

besides his father is right, his journey in the land merlin help to create is not yet over, he is now responsable for the peace in it, even when arthur is not longer alive, the memory of his legacy is always remember by everyone, he was the greatest prince and king the land could ever have.
Absolutely! I can't get enough of this series! I just wish they'd follow up with a movie where Arthur has risen. I only hope that if that ever happens, they'll reunite Colin and Bradley as Merlin and Arthur. Their versions of these characters and their unbreakable bond is what makes it so special to me. I think the writers, directors, and actors (especially Colin Morgan ❤) are what made this show as powerful and heartfelt as can be. I've seen other films about the Arthurian legend, but none as beautiful as Merlin! Not by a long shot!!
