No Gas in Town and Tim Goes Down: Oregon BDR Day 2, Section 2

Day 2 of our Oregon BDR motorcycle camping trip got off to a scary start when we coasted into Plush, Oregon (the end of Oregon BDR Section 1 and the start of Oregon BDR section2) on fumes only to find out that the only gas pump in town was broken and the closest place to fuel up was 40 miles away in Lakeview. Fuel stops are very important on an Oregon Backcountry Discovery Route motorcycle trip, so this put a huge monkey wrench in our plans and caused us to have to skip half of ORBDR section 2. Fortunately, the most difficult part of Oregon BDR section 2 is the second half, and that's what we were able to tackle after fueling up in Lakeview and taking a slight detour.

After riding through the ORBDR desert and having a great time in the Oregon BDR sand, Tim came into a corner a little hot and ended up going down on a gravel road. This was the first Oregon BDR motorcycle crash of our trip, but fortunately it was just a minor lowside and Tim got up laughing and we carried on to Christmas Valley where Travis had secured us a pair of hotel rooms for the night.
