Dominick Cruz laying out the gameplan of how he would have fought Bisping 😂
Big facts lol. Shame we never got that one
"I've been thinking about this-" he's definitely been prepping for Mike
Cruz - “Just keep circling to the left so they can’t see you.”
Feria- “Haha, that’s great…. wait what?”
@@GarrettChance LOL
@@GarrettChance 😂😂😂😂
"If I say I'm better than them, what can I learn from them?" That's such a powerful quote. Dominick is one of the greatest minds in MMA history.
If I say I’m better than them, what can I learn from them?” - Sun Tzu
These are the techniques that Dom was going to use against Michael Bisping when they had that argument at the bar
All he needs to do is pivot to the side of Bisping's missing eye
Or when Cormier called him out for a sit down 🪑
They're also techniques that he used anyways lol
Man I absolutely love Dominick Cruz, freaking amazing lesson. He should really coach younger fighters, like dedicated coach. Absolute legend, this was a delight to watch.
I agree, I didn't always love him, after hearing him on JRE, talking about accountability, directly after his loss to Cody. Wow, that was a great one, he is extremely well spoken. Big fan, huge respect.
He's already been coaching once he retires he'll probably do it with more commitment. From what I've learned is that he's taken less commentating jobs to commit to his training because he wants one more shot to the title.
@@737simviator I agree with you but that's the thing, this is basically what Dom does best, the lateral movement and making his opponents punch air. Practicing this "very basic" thing like a mad man is largely what made him who he is.
Maybe once hes done fighting himself. Hes still slanging and banging up all the young 135'ers
@@dibyo156 agreed, he ran with it, made it his own.
How to fight an opponent that’s much larger…
Step one: Be Dominick Cruz.
or Saenchai
Or Pacquiao
Or how will domic cruz fight middle weight to super heavy weight fighters?
What this video mean is how an elite fighter fight non elite to non experienced fighter.
Cause there are thounsands out there that will destroy dominic cruz in a fight who's bigger and stronger.
@@leodesilva7638 yep
@@leodesilva7638 And they're are billions that would smash you.
“Now you chasing me, because you wanna kill me” I love his mentality
Dominic‘s fight IQ is incredible. He is an outlier amongst outliers. I would love to listen to a podcast with Dominic and John Danaher discussing fighting philosophy and techniques. Great video much appreciated. ✌️
That's not a bad idea
If there's anything I've learned from training it's that most people ARE actually meatheads. It really shows when you meet a real intellectual on the mat who is also an athlete
i will use what i learned in this video to beat smaller guys
I would pay to watch a podcast with Danaher and Dom
But what happen if he bodylocks you? What would you do? How'd you break the grip and escape?
Dominic would be a legendary trainer when he gets old, so much knowledge
He already teaches bruv
With striking maybe
I don't wanna take the chances and try to gas out my opponent by letting him pound my face 💀
@@remyhavoc4463 😐
This is no doubt, by far THE BEST tactic and instructions, how to fight bigger opponent I have ever seen.
Amazing, thank you both.
Bernardo's footwork is a sight to behold. Sometimes I forget how skillful fighter can make their beginner opponent look so bad. Props to Bernardo tho always learning, always improving
Yeah cruz has incredible fight iq. He's always exactly where you don't want him to be, he makes anyone look off balance. Ohh, I hadn't gotten to the boxing part...
Actually, as much as I love Bernardo, and as incredible he is as a BJJ player, it's very clear that he has a HUGE gap in his understanding of the stand-up game and in his ability to move in a standing situation. He looks clumsy because in that part of the game, he is a genuine beginner.
Bernardo himself said that he is really clumsy, I remember him saying "im probably the only bjj world champ that can't do a cartwheel"
Cruz really understands the complete game, regardless of size and weight.
This is relevant for muay thai, bjj, mma and self defense... great lesson!
Two class acts right there! As an older, 54, blue belt, I appreciate this lesson. THANKS!!!!
I’d love to see a TUF with Cruz vs Cormier (obviously the coaches won’t fight). Both are so different in character and movement but entertaining all the same.
Bernardo is a former Golden Gloves Champion.
Really? You’d never be Abe to tell from the way he was throwing those punches
This actually work wonders for me in sparing especiallyagainst the bigger guys. Guys just kept circling around. This guy is definitely a genius
' now youre chasing me, cause you want to kill me.'
the most dominick cruz quote ever.
Cruz has one of the most interesting styles ever and he dominated at the highest level with it for a long time. What a legend
Dom is legitimately the smartest fighter in the UFC. When he retires, I'd love to see him coaching.
If my son ever decided to compete amateur, professional mma….4 guys that I would take him to is Dominick Cruz, Demetrius Johnson, Henry cejudo and George st Pierre. Their knowledge is as pure as gold
Dominic Cruz is one of the fighters that moved fighting forward, adding another layer for fighters to add to their arsenal. Brilliant!
Man I love how Dominick Cruz fights even before the ufc days. I named my son after him ( who was born on spectrum and would watch all the old Dominick Cruz fights with me) he's literally had to prove him self against some of the bullies in his class. And, like Dominick Cruz my son had lived up to the name of the dominator.
Awesome video! I love how Dom explains and simplifies things.
It is a great honor for me to watch Bernardo trying to imitate strikes.
Very insightful. Thank you
1. I've met Mr.Cruz multiple times. I used to attend a BJJ class in the evenings at Alliance MMA Chula Vista, CA. He is a humble and respectful man, regardless of what others may say.
2. Let's see Mr. Cruz jiu-jitsu. Bernardo, did you guys roll at all?
Dominick is a fight genius.
I’d love to see him interview these guys after their fights in the octagon. He’s got the best takes on fights
Rogan is jelly
Wow, what a great video. Thanks coach Bernardo and MMA legend coach Dominick for sharing this.
I’m so glad you guys put this video out! I’ve wanted to learn some aspect of striking just so I can understand what I’m looking at when I watch the UFC. This was a great video, Dominick did a really good job of explaining!👍
Amazing! Thank you!
Great video ! Thanks much !
Dominick big inspiration on the reality of life and how to face life challenges. Love it! By the way Dominick , there have been people online saying great things about you , I wrote an article years ago about your way of looking at life’s adversity and moving forward. Keep it up man !
excelente!!! gracias!
I love your videos!!! Thank you so much for bringing Cruz.
Very smart ideas about fighting .... Awsome
Thanks very much to both Bernardo and Dominic for freely sharing these insights.
this was so freaking amazing man just life lessons man, my ego got in the way when i was younger but i have learned and tyring to improve when you think you are better you truly aren't
Always love listening to Dom's analytical reads
yes, Yes! YASSS!! Been waiting for a Dominick Cruz VIDEO!! Take all my money!!
Dropping knowledge 💯 or as he's say he's "giving" us the knowledge 🙇🏽 a true sage and martial artist to the fullest extent. Bravo 👏🏽
Dominic is the smartest fighter I've seen so far. I'm going to buy that instructional as soon as it shows up on the site. His way of slipping and then hitting tackles is amazing.
Brilliant! This isn't even scratching the surface of Dominick's genius fight IQ🔥🔥🔥
Cruz has always had exceptional movement, great footwork, head movement some of the best around. He makes a fantastic coach, has a lot to teach the youth and even the experienced.
Fantastic!
Thank you for getting Dominick to show us some stuff!
Hands down the best in the game at breaking down fights. Love his videos A+
2 Legends under The Roof!!!! Ya Dominick, Ya Bernardo, Ya VMMA!!!!!!!
Incredible work gentlemen. Usssss keep up the honest hustle my friend...
That's awesome!
Cruz is a legend as well as the Sun Tzu of trash talk. Always a joy to watch.
very good thricks domineck Cruz.thank you.
I’m active duty military and a pro mma fighter I had a Benin tumor growing that was severing my tibia and fibula and during the surgery to remove it had complications where the doctor knicked my artery and had internal bleeding which led to me almost losing my leg and after that compartment syndrome, plantar fasciitis along with needing surgery on my other knee. They said I would never walk again I was losing both my careers and source of income along with a new baby girl on the way. I reached out to Dom on social media and he gave me amazing inspiration and advice fast forward 5 years in still competing signed to the XFC and commissioning as a officer. I still use the drills and advice he gave me to this day an always give credit when able to. He’s a pioneer and icon for many.
Man, Dominic Cruz as a teacher is great
'if i say i'm better than you, what can i learn from you?'
fuckin dom is next level.
Proof that Bisping would've never stood a chance
Such a cerebral fighter. Awesome instructional. 👍👍
Amazing
Thank sooo much for this 16 Min Master class. Real MA Masters. OOOOSSSS🥋🥊
Cruz was the guy to beat for a decade. You couldnt just be better at striking, you had to adapt to his style. Cardio machine aswell. The 135 pound division wouldnt be the same without him. Probably the most influential fighter of modern mma.
sweet vid bernardo. dom is hype
Brilliant
Love it.
When Dominic Cruz was younger it looks like he was on TRT (arguably no TRT because of such devastating injuries). Maybe he was just in great shape because he was younger with more T. Either way even back then he was leagues ahead of many fighters of today. Other than the calf kick “meta” he pretty well invented the best style.
Lol what? Dom has always looked like a regular guy in shape, gtfo of here
@@JRF1004 check him out when he was fighting pre-USADA. Physically he was a specimen. I’m not taking anything away from him. They all were doing it. Mostly. You can just simply Google a picture from when he was champ and see a huge difference. It’s not age either. It’s right after USADA. I’m not saying he didn’t put in the work and I’m not saying he’s not a genius when it comes to his style. Just calling it like I see it. Look at him when he was fighting Uriah Faber and that generation. His body composition back then was not even close to the way it is now. Or anything after you USADA. Having said that he still is one of my favorite fighters.
Superb fight IQ. Dominic is a beast.
Nice angles. I learned.
CRuz is an inspiration.also brave enough to go his own way
I've Been going on a rampage of nasty rants and comments on A LOT of ju jitsu pages about this specific video series of how to deal with bigger opponents and this is literally the only god dam video that shows a smaller guy executing proper techniques to deal with bigger guys. I swear EVERY GOD DAM VIDEO with this title has a guy like Bernardo(huge dude) demonstrate how to handle big guys on a 12 year old 90lb kid and it's so stupid. Thank you for doing a video That's actually showing the smaller guy demonstrating on a big guy
Repent ! I understand your passion but don't let it lead you to blasphemy. Its not worth the prize you'll pay on judgement day.
How do I defend myself against a large clydesdale trying to buck me with it's back legs? Huge size difference
@@carpejkdiem Ever do any work on the sabbath day? Eat shellfish? Wear blended fabric? Wish you had something someone else had? Stolen anything in your life? (PS: there has never been reliable, valid evidence for any supernatural claim. Keep your proselytizing to yourself.)
This is good stuff.
Cruz is a beast. Really interesting to see his strategies explained by him. Uge honour for me to watch 😜👌
I love Bernardo
Cruz is such a good teacher.
Such a smart and good guy
Cool demonstration
This man is Soo special!!
very interesting
This was an absolute masterclass 🥀
He’s a beast of knowledge
this is gold
What a collab!
Dominic seems like a stupendous coach.
Bad ass dude. This is hundreds of hours of practice, if not thousands to get to his level of fighting. He also know the key to life: " what can I give." El que no vive para servir, no sirve para vivir. This is also hundreds of hours of fighting wisdom compressed into a 15 min clip. Baaaad ass.
This is an expansion of the D’Amato switch. Very nice to know, even as a 6ft 1 medium sized guy.
Dominic Cruz is easily one of my favorite fighters. If not my number one favorite. Fight IQ is incredible and I’ve never seen anyone copy his foot work. The closest was TJ Dillashaw. Other than the freak fight he had against Cody Garbrandt he’s always made the his opponents frustrated with limited attack options. He once said he designed his fighting style around not taking damage. I don’t see any smarter strategy than that.
Great Video!!! Gonna try and implement a bit of this in Muay Thai. I don't do MMA
Run!!!!!
The most unique fighter in MMA love him
Dom rules!!!
I'm stuck on the sidelines, watching my friends train bjj and mma. Sucks, but I have Ryan Hall's DVD's, and this video. Lol! Thank you!
I loved the mustang civic explanation
one of the best minds in the game...ever
9:30 to 10:30 is what makes Dom a sage and a champion
