I had most of these fun toys but my all time favorite was my stick, it was shaped like a rifle and I had it for like two years or maybe longer. One day my big brother broke it and I cried and tried to punch him, my dad came home from work and got me another one off the family tree and I remember I laughed and hugged him but I missed him all the time too tho!
In 70s had ft long lawn darts called jarts made of metal until to many kids lost an eye or got stuck in there foot.kids toys were dangerous then.lot of kids chocked on stuff.
Slinky, the inventor was from Chester County, PA and owned James Spring and Wire. He became wealthy from Slinky divorced his wife and moved to Africa in the sixties.
Sorry for that, well this is YT so that will drive you nuts very quickly ? My thing is when people correct you but leave no comment on the video post ? We all have our faults. : )
Dad built a Castle of plywood for the Fighting Knights, and my brother and I had hours of fun with Ft. Apache, the Atomic Cannon and Space Launch center. Every kid wanted PF Flyers when Jonny Quest endorsed. KEDS just didn't cut it. And the 10's of yards of Hotwheel tracks?
I found a vintage Slinky in the Red box the price on it 98 cents and probably been played with a lot and I don't like when you have that little Gap in the spring 😝 man!.. because I wondered if I did it?because I played with it too hard? I hate that they all have it...
All I know is ....that you can't bribe a child to play with the toys from the past. My grandson whose 5yrs has no interest in anything that doesn't have a touch screen😕
I wonder how many little boys turned out gay because of GI Joe. I grew up in that era and that toy never appealed to me. However I loved TUDAR electronic football, and the Creepy Crawler sets.
kaweah01 I would like to THINK that you're joking, buddy. NO little boy was ever 'turned gay' by the GI Joe toy line. Besides, I never had any GI Joe toys, and I came out in 1980 !
Slinky just looks so confident taking those big steps down the stairs. It's steel coil confidence.
toys back then... are better then todays toys
boys back then... are better than todays boys

I agree I'm a horrible 15 year old
I agree with Teresa. We did have imaginations. We where always outside. We didn't have the health issues kids have today.
