- EXCITER -- Nightforce Productions, Church of the 8th Day & Spaceland Presents The Los Angeles Strikefest version 1.0 Massacre Records Artists @ The Regent Theater Los Angeles, CA. 6-23-2018
This band, with the original lineup, were every bit a quintessential metal band of uncompromising heavy, raw power and speed that wasn't too goddamn fast. Saw them perform with Armored Saint in Albuquerque, back in the mid-eighties for their 'Long Live The Loud' Tour. Back then they may have lacked the wide recognition among mainstream metal acts (thankfully), but overall, their music has a quality like no other that remains truly underground, taking your imagination back to the days of the world in the medieval age. Great video! I didn't realize they had re-membered!
I see exciter 1985 with accept in germany i never forget this moment in my life i am so proud exciter to have seen live
I seen Exciter at the very small Embassy Hotel in London,Ontario,Canada down town on Dundas st. with Sacrifice.

Thank you so much you really help me out!
It’s great that these guys are still together after all these years. I listened to them back in the 80s.

its been a month already? Holy shit time flys by so fast. Hey you're going to be at the demolition hammer show? that show is going to fucking get dirty. i really hope you can make it for Demolition hammer.
Historically interesting as they were every bit as big as Metallica in the early 80s. But then again so was Raven (whom Metallica opened for). Maybe they need a power ballad.
C'est ce qui s'appelle une performance 🤘🤘🤘✊
I like that the tempo kinda surges and almost falls apart then locks back in. It is supposed to be exciting (duh) and chaotic- too much polish and you lose the manic energy. I am only really familiar with the Violence And Force album, but I loved it since it came out. Cool.....sounds like it should- when it was a rite of passage to be a frustrated messed up hyperactive kid with little or no supervision and an overactive imagination.
I know all about this. Haha. :)
Round Two
I know these guys personally and I have to say they are a great bunch...... better than Metalica!!! HUMBLE AND THEY DONT WHINE!!!
Although it has been a while, I used to call John Ricci on a regular basis and meet him in person when I could see Exciter (era of Jacques Belanger). Too bad he left Exciter again.
@@Canuck1000John is a great guy!! I was sad that he left.... but DK (the new guitarist) is amazing!!! seeing them live is always a great show... but chilling with them at rehearsal is soo much fun!! 2 ft from Dans drums... Al and John just as close joking around as they played (amps always on 10) NOTHING BETTER FOR A METAL FAN!!!! :}
@@HarleyzDavidson Yeah, I saw a recent show with DK and it sounded like old Exciter for sure. Hopefully, their new album will come out soon.

What part of texas your in I'm in houston
Slaughtered in vain is great
No Heavy Metal Maniac ?
50:30 - Here it is.
Competent band but they did nothing that made them stand out from the crowd of other bands.
The drummer is the singer...
They were pretty much the only band who played consistently fast and hard, no frills heavy/speed metal. Most other fast bands were either not really this hard-hitting, or they overshot it by sounding too noisy/evil or advanced. Exciter was the only really down to earth "school locker" speed metal band.
Ever tried playing speed metal drums and singing... didn't think so...btw.. name 3 bands that did that in the 80's... I'll give you one.. THIS ONE!!!!
