Butto and Scott both need to be on this roster. I don’t care if they are starting or coming out of the pen as multi inning relievers. When Megill goes 5 1/3rd or whatever it was today give the ball to one of them and tell them finish the game. If you need to relieve them late fine but they are in the top 10 of best pitchers in the organization and thus should be in Queens to help this team win. If we have them today I think we most likely win that game.
that omg concert into above . 500 was an amazing moment .. and of course the commissioner whored it out to apple, taking a signature moment from many met fans . I lucked out my roommate got a two month apple trial three days ago. 🙌🍎

Hi Ryan, Jeff Mcneil got his golf swing that was a two-iron down the rightfield line. It's just beautiful. Jeff thinks in terms of the golf swing he's an avid golfer and could have a pro golfer on tour he swings much like a Japanese player coming out of the box and you know in Japan golf is a major sport. That pitch that is low and inside he destroys it with his stroke.
We really need Megill to throw at least 7 innings for today’s game. That’s asking quite a lot but let’s see if he’s got the guts to go after these Astros Hitters.
Or we could just have Butto and Scott in the pen who are much better pitchers capable of providing length. Megill goes 5, Scott 3 or 4 depending on performance, and maybe pen takes the 9th. Let these extra starters piggy back each other to eat up those middle to late innings.
I kind of wished they didn't use Garrett last night with that lead. Couldn't Diekman just finish the game? He never seems to go 2 innings though. Garrett seems tired from overuse....and wondering if he'll have a bad second half. Yeah, I think the Mets are done with Drew. He was being groomed for 8th inning, and closer duties, but got injured every single year.
It’s always important to see a struggling player breakout. Not saying McNeil will start playing like an MVP every day, but he said himself after the game he’s starting to feel more like himself. If he can get any kind of momentum rolling, maybe he gets hot at the plate. Who knows.
@LockedOnMets McNeil needs to understand what worked for him which was hitting singles and doubles on a regular basis. He needs to stop trying to make swing for the fences.

JEFF MCNEIL IS THE ELITE DEFENDER AND MULTIPLE POSITIONS AND BATTING CHAMPION. MCNEIL IS A GREAT BASEBALL PLAYER.

In regards to McNEIL, he has the versatility no one else has on the METS' team.He plays a solid 2b, a solid right and leftfield to boot.
