It's so rare to see checkmate on the board without going to an endgame or resignation in games featuring titled players. I think this is even more impressive than you're giving yourself credit for.
I don’t care, if you play me, it’s on the board or we don’t bother, you’d like the pleasure, I’d like it, and besides, to study it is progress, if you’re titled and can see the lines etc. Fair enough, even if not, A mate on the board should just be customary
Slowly but surely i can feel myself getting better at chess. After pawn to e3, i actually saw the queen sacrifice, the only thing is i didn't see the fact you could use the d7 bishop, for mate, because i thought pawn blocked, but after pawn took, i realized it did work the whole time
That my friend is called intuition. It just felt right to sac the queen for me too. I also didn't calculate far into the line and did not see the light square bishop mate but the position would've played out itself after the first few sequence. Chess speak for itself lol
I'm at 19:35 ... What you just explained was amazing. The calculation I mean. You also said that you saw the move/situation from numerous moves back, which tells that you had to keep calm and patient and hopeful or tactful for the game to unfold as you needed. What a brilliant demonstration of genius. I am amazed and thrilled with the idea that with some growth and understanding that I too shall one day be capable of this 😅 Thank you for this content 😊
This is one of your best videos. It's a personal story with great lessons and teachable moments. It also makes you very relatable which is good long term. Props
Unfortunately, cheating has become so common place that video monitoring is needed not just in chess, but even in taking certification tests. I had to completely disassemble my computer setup before I could even take the certification. It cost me about 4 hours of disassembling and then re-assembling the setup so that I could work at my job after the certification.
one thing that i cant get out of my head is how levy always says elo based on the first two digits and doesn't round. He will play against a 2398 and be like "I lost to a 2300"
even being a 2000 today i mogged 2 2200s and lost to 1 2250 and almost mogged a CM who was 2329 online and 2267 fide in rapid but lost due to poor time management and I was 1400 55 days ago , lots of thanks to levy for providing content to this level that I improved very fastly
You play chess for moments like this. When you see a winning combination and the opponent falls into that trap, it's as if gods spoke up from heavens. Thank you for sharing, Levy. It's so rare to happen, but when it happens, it gives such a powerful sense of life being infinitely valuable.
Great game Levy. I like games like this where a cascade of brilliance leads to such a satisfying finish. So much better than those games which create a lot of pressure that is released in crescendo of exchanges followed by mind numbing countless pawn moves to result in a draw.
Would never finde e3 in one of my games but i did find it with the right continuation after he said stop here and think and im only 1400 elo cheating in chess is really a problem
I'm a photographer, a coder, a musician and overall a creative person, and I use my creativity to accomplish all that on Windows like a normal person. :D
This fair play check will never actually catch a cheater. If someone knows they are being monitored in real time, they are not going to cheat. It would be like if someone gives you advance notice that a health inspector will show up to your business a week in advance. Obviously your business will be clean by then. The only benefit is that a business cleaned up, which is something, but you will never actually catch anyone doing wrong.
... Are you really this dense? Obviously the point is not to catch players in the act, but to establish a baseline level to which they can compare their unmonitored games.

i couldnt play the beginning or the Midgame but i saw the checkmate and thats enough for me to be proud of myself
Yea i saw that pawn advance blocking in the king but maybe only because he paused the video and made sure we knew there was a critical move to make
