Tempeh is great if fresh ( not over fermented) and cooked right. It has a nice nutty flavor. Am glad you enjoyed it in this restaurant. Glad you had a nice break. Thanks for sharing Glasglow.

I had no idea there was fresh vs fermented. I thought it was all fermented.
I’ll try coming it at home again one day I’m sure :)

Sorry I phrased it wrongly. You are right. Tempe is always fermented. However If its kept for too long it becomes ‘ over’ fermented like kimchi that becomes very sour over time. When I buy Tempe in the market I go for the ‘ fresh’ ones as in freshly/ newly made, and then keep them a day or two till they are ‘ ripe’ / fermented enough for use. Tempe absorbs flavors well, so it can be marinated and fried, goes well in sauces too like peanut sauce.

Glad you managed to have a little getaway. It really does wonders doesn't it? GlasGlow looked really cool. Good idea to go back and see it during the day as well.

It seems silly to stay overnight somewhere that is just an hour away but it was so nice. Really want to do it again.

A Year of Vegan Eats Might seem silly but isn't. Mini breaks like your trip to Glasgow are awesome. By staying overnight you are able to experience stuff you’d probably miss if you had to drive back home in the evening.

Ah I literally just came back from Edinburgh! Glad you're also exploring a bit more of the UK

Oooh! What did you think of Edinburgh? I really should appreciate my home town more too :)
