What irritates me the most is that what people complained a lot was Leo not being the leader, but to be honest how does one watch it and not feel his leading character? He had his moments, just didn’t have the title and it was clear to me that they planed to make him develop into an actual leader thorough the series. It was obvious, all it took was to actually watch it 🙄 I’m mad the creators didn’t get the time to show everything the way they wanted, but they somehow killed it anyway! With so little screen time, they still made such a masterpiece! loved the series, loved the movie even more, just watched it for the second time 🐢❤️💙🧡💜
About Raph, what I found great is that they actually kept the tension between him and Leo. At the end of the show it was clear to me that this Raph would never be petty or jealous towards Leo becoming the leader and I really didn't know how they would handle his character moving forward so the classic Leo vs Raph dynamic but kind of reverse with Leo being the petty one was great to me.
I never expected to cry at a ninja turtles movie, but here we are. This movie upped Rise Leo from one of my least favorite turtles to one of my favorites, and I really hope we get another season.
I also realized at the start to the end of the series, the turtles went from their Teenage phase, to now what we seen from every other series, The Ninja Phase
My favorite thing is how as the movie went on, you can see how Leo's mask of joker slowly starting to fall, and I also love how it's something you can very much easily miss in the animation. Yet he still manages to show both fear, casualness, and determination all at the same time all in the right moments. The animation and expressions in this movie were the best ive ever seen and im not exaggerating that.
The show won me over early on. After seeing many similar variations of the turtles, it was nice to finally get a completely different spin on them. It’s refreshing for comic book characters.
this is easily the best version of tmnt i've ever seen. i still can't get over how long it took to make the turtles more than just pallet swap of each other design-wise. raph has never been my fave, but but he might be in this series. Donnie is a VERY difficult man to compete with for faves in this version, least for the turtles. Cassandra and goo girl are my fave non-core characters, and this is the best April i've ever seen
right?? i'm hoping now that if we get a season 3, the censors will be a bit more lax because of it. Letting the movie start with leo having a handful of blood and saying badass was such a bold risk, but it was a great move
Kinda hoping that this movie reignites interest in the show and they might bring it back. Season 3 Sister Krang as new Foot leader trying to free her brothers, but only to absorb their abilities as her own or something and actually have to kill her because locking them away keeps failing.
I wanna introduce myself on to the series and for the impression i did get from the Movie i really liked the energy of all the characters and as someone who love art i am in love with the animation I have seen the movie 2 times yet, i have to see where i can watch the series
I kind of like the implication that unlike in previous incarnation the role of leader was always a "privilege" something that meant you were the best. Leonardo was the leader because he was depicted as the most skilled and most disciplined. But I don't think this is the case at all in Rise. Being a leader is part of their training and learning. And in reality I think this makes sense, when you are a leader and your choices have consequences for not just yourself but everyone its a scary thing, it makes you think, it puts you in a situation to confront your flaws and your fears over and over and over. We see this with Raphael and his tendency to both choke under pressure and be over protective of his brothers not trusting in their capabilities without him there. These are conquered from his time as leader and that's probably why he is not at all envious of being usurped because his time as leader made him grow and mature and he probably recognizes this and see's that its Leo's turn. If the series had continued we may have seen moments of Donatello and Michelangelo being "promoted" to leader except to find its not a promotion at all but rather a lesson that they all take turns to experience.
The changes ROTTMNT made with Raph as the oldest brother and the leader during the show, along with the leader title being passed on to Leo during the movie reminds me a lot of Young Justice back in the day, and how Kaldur took the leader role at first because Robin was still too young and self-centered for that kind of responsibility. That sort of ''I'll take this burden until you're ready for it'' mentality that I feel like Rise Raph had when he was the leader and it's why he never would've been jealous of Leo for that, he was angry because he was worried about his family. The only reason I see Raph being hesitant to renounce his leadership for is because he'd never want to put that kind of weight on his little brothers' shoulders. But I feel like in the end once he sees Leo's matured into role, he can take off some of that pressure and focus more on actually protecting his family, which is the role Raph was _really_ meant for. Wow I went on a tangent.
I just want to say that it's because of people like you that I'm quickly going through portions of the series to prep for this (I don't know why I slept on it either).
I can't believe I almost dismissed this entire series the show has such humor that at least once every episode had me chuckling which is hard to do at my old age. The animation is wonderful and the action scenes are so fun to watch. The movie takes these things up to the highest level but what really makes the movie stand out is the fact that they can lose and it really changes the family dynamic which was always the best part of ninja turtles. The movie finally combines all aspects of t.m.n.t and combines it into a perfect finally to a fun action filled show that took me right back to my childhood anyone that likes t.m.n.t should watch the rise series or you will be missing out
40 yrs right here been watching TMNT forever and this joint hit hard. Not going to spoil it for anyone or hype it past this. But go watch it. It delivered
I've rewatched the movie 2-3 times already, the simplest way I can put my feelings towards it is; I am in love with it. Hell, I cannot remember the last time I got so emotional over a movie where I actually sobbed. The feels I got from my first viewing is just,,, MY GOd. It's unfair how much this show gets hated, and the movie truly shows how amazing Rise is in my opinion. The characters are written amazingly well, with them being able to have comedic moments and able to pull your heartstrings. I'm not much of a TMNT fan; But when I used to be, I didn't call Leo a favourite of mine. Characters like Donnie or Mikey always seemed more pleasing to me. But now? I am in love with Rise Leo, I'm genuinely surprised I didn't see how funny he was in the actual show after rewatching it shortly after viewing the movie. He's slowly but surely becoming my all-time favourite. Overall, This movie is stunning, it does not deserve the flack people give it.
it took me a while to warm up to leo's character in this version, but I love this movie because it shows some great character development for him, the relationship with his brothers and the emotional beats were great for him as well. I love how we got to see him rise to be the leader! I also love Ben shwartz! He does a great job voicing Leo!
Just watched this move, and I gotta say it was AMAZING. I was so blown away by the amazing animation in this movie, I could really feel the highstakes and the emotional moments really did leave an impact.
Imma just say this he is right about the emotional aspect of the movie most moments had me tearing up a lot and it’s heart shattering but really good movie 10/10
Super duper hoping that season 3 happens. Now that Leonardo has more come to terms with what it means to be the leader I would absolutely love to see that play out in other adventurers
This movie was lit, amazing *chefs kiss* beautiful, best TMNT movie in my opinion, but the only thing that drags down the movie a bit for me is the pacing, this movie to me felt short, everything was happening so fast and the voices kinda sounded off at times but other than that great movie 9/10 would watch again.
Side note; this movie also has my new all time favorite interpretation of the Krang, with them being ancient aliens who are able to infect and enslaved the weak and helpless and are also worshipped by the “Foot Clan”, and in this movie I’ve noticed the Krang seem only slightly less visionary or technologically advanced and more vengeful, heinous, and serious. Also the Krang need titles, I’m thinking “Krang Prime” , “Brother Krang” and “Sister Krang”.
I have been waiting for the show to come out and omg. I have never been so happy and sad at the same time. One second I’ll be happy then the next I’m crying. The whole show I think I was crying and balling my eyes out. I love seeing each character get their own thing. Like Raph saving Leo and risking his body getting hurt for him then sending him back home and leaving himself behind. Then getting turned into an enemy and almost kills Leo. Then almost losing Leo again. Leo not listening and then when losing Raph, realizing that he messed up bad and how much he really cares about him: then getting chocked and seeing how Raph was never really yelling at him or hated him but he was just scared for his brothers. It really shows Leo becoming a better leader. Seeing Donnie getting grossed out by germs or the slimy goo. Then him realizing that he was actually crying. Mikey being the younger brother and watching as his brothers risked their life to make sure he was ok. Donnie risking his shell and his life from the truck. Raph saving them both from hitting the ground to hard and using his body for impact. Then saving Leo. Seeing Casey in the show and how Cassandra was his mom. Seeing the future at first was sad. Mikey dieting and then seeing Leo die. Then founding our in his future everyone died. Nothing was left. It really hit hard. Like I thought I was ready for the show and so excited to watch it and finish it, but man was I wrong. Not ready and wished it never ended.
I would say that I'm surprised... however they got 2 different voice actors of Sonic the Hedgehog (Ben Schwartz and Roger Craig Smith) and Peacemaker, and had the BALLS to cast the previous voice actor of Splinter... as Shredder.
That movie had me crying cause first i thought raph died then i thought donnie and Mickey was gonna die then i thought leo was gonna die but it was just so good bro 😭
I was a bit surprised too cuz nick is for kids, but You can see that this movie was intended for older audiences around 10-14 or older Blood wasn't such a big thing but hearing profanity is a bit surprising for a nickelodeon show, I've seen profanity be slipped in other kids shows for example Loli rock "hell ya", but anyways ya it is surprising
Bro I didn’t even know this movie got released!??? I searched the Netflix trailer and it’s on Netflix kids??!! Bro wtf even Netflix is trying to hide the fact it exists. WHY tho?
@@Acedegenerate07 sure but it had DragonBallZ level of fight scenes and it seems that a lot of hard work was put in it. By just tagging it as For kids no one will watch it. This movie could be enjoyed by both teenagers and young adults. Tmnt is for everyone
Very happy its as good as it looks. I really enjoyed the series. You had me thinkingrg the movie already came out. Keep up the great work! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🤩👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
All I ask for now is a 2nd Turtles Forever movie with the Rise, 2012, 2003, 1987, and possibly the original Black and White Turtles done well, that has the same high-quality action, animation, and emotional stakes as this movie.
To be honest I actually want More content of this. You can’t really leave this without so much content yet explore with Cassandra redemption, mysterious mask turtle guard of big mama. Casey exploring the world and find a way back to future if possible. Explore more mystics world, bringing old villains into the show. I did see season one two villains we only got a short view. We really need knowing some backstory on April meeting the turtles.
2D isn't dead. Not by a long shot. And Netflix shows this with a movie like this. Sure its expensive to animate 2D these days when cgi has grown with such detail but as a 90's kid seeing animation like this and know what it takes to make to look good is an art form and a craft of talent and care.
I feel like the writers of Rise wanted to write all four turtles as TEENAGERS. And at the same time they said "What if they weren't home-schooled by Mr Miyaki in rat form? What if they were home-schooled by the worst possible version of a Danny DeVito character?" In the Rise series, we meet Leo at just 14 years old and frankly, he does behave like a know-it-all 14 year old boy and he and his bros have been home-schooled by a fat, lazy mutant who wants to keep them safe by hardly training them at all, kind of like teenage pregnancy statistics among home-schooled kids in the US. Raph initially takes the role of the leader not because dad designated it, but because he literally tells his bros that as the oldest and biggest brother he SHOULD lead, and for the most part they agree because being in charge is a LOT OF WORK, and it's not like they actually listen to him unless he gets his muscle in on it. And of course, Leo thinks this is what a leader is; being heroic and telling people what to do. You feel like half the time Raph would still be taking charge. And he's not taking charge because he likes being in charge, but because he's scared of his bros getting hurt. In the movie you can see Leo's joker mask slipping and him literally rising to meet the massive stakes. At the end he sacrifices his own life for his brothers and the world. You can see if there was a 3rd season, he would be a lot more like the leader Leo we know from the other series, but still with leeway to mess up cuz he's kinda new at it.
I gotta say during some of the “on edge of your seats” and “Really heart yanking” moments of the movie it made me tear up thinking “oh my god is this seriously gonna get more heart wrenching, are they really doing this?”. The movie did a awesome job of keeping a small humorous tone but also having a serious plot, I loved it so much and really hope the series gets picked up again but this time with having both the foot clan and krang
Looking at this movie, the animation is amazing, the anime aesthetic is perfect for me, and Kraang. Omg Kraang. Kraang is so extremely imposing from start to finish, cuz not only does he look scary but he IS scary
Just finished watching the tv show, tho sadly only have Netflix so S2 wasn’t available so had to watch shredder fight on YT than watch the movie. Quick TV show review: While the show felt only a handful of episodes were cannon/serious and the rest felt filler with characters development/world builder. Which is fine if you want that for lore purposes. Like fr it was like 7/26 for S1 felt cannon. Wish they gave more weight to more episodes. I would argue this is the best TMNT cuz it felt they but anime into a cartoon show. It’s cool, modern, more stylish and yes it takes awhile to get used to there character design but it not bad at all. I actually like it overall. They all have more depth and personality and the world they build it’s 10x better. A solid 7/10 show. There is also the strongest version we have. There OP with mystic powers My movie review: GOTTTT DAMNNNNN 🔥 this is was cool af! I paused at least 5 times from shocked when Raft saved Leo, the fight scene or the emotional weight at the end which made me feel sad like damnnnnn. This TMNT has the coolest bad guys lore, TMNT lore, foot clan lore, mystic powers lore and designs. Krane was so scary and badass they couldn’t win so they had to trap him like damnnnnn scary. This was a treat to watch visually a good 8/10 cartoon/anime movie
I just got back from watching this movie,It was absolutely phenomenal and one of the best thing's to come out of the franchise period...Hopefully Playmates toy's will get thier act together and make some action figure's for this and fast
Prior to rise, my favorite versions of the turtles was 2003. I can safely say Rise is my new favorite but something I don't see enough of from Rise fans is the praise that needs to be given to the writing staff. I can easily see a show like this being done by people who don't care enough to put time and effort in and chucking out garbage because "it's a kids show." (Example: see the Bay version). Yeah, dunk on the haters but don't forget to acknowledge the writers, animators, and actors who went in to make this show/movie great.
i'm gonna be honest here, i didn't even know the show was a thing until the movie came out and youtube started to recommend me a lot of compilations. Now after watching it, I genuinely don't know how I hadn't seen i before. The internet really slept on rise, all the criticism was way overly harsh. I started watching it, and I absolutely adored the series from episode one. The new takes on all the characters felt so refreshing, and April's role in the story felt so much ore real than the caricature of her that i grew up seeing her as. I absolutely adored the show, plus it's little dialogue quirks. like how no one had a set name that they had to be called, and the running gags. [Movie Spoilers] And then when i watched the movie, I was absolutely starstruck. honestly i was so taken aback by just the blood in the opening shot that I didn't even notice they slipped in leo saying "badass" on my first watch. They took the show from 0 to 100 from minute one! The animation was stellar, the voice acting was amazing, and the pacing felt awesome! I have to say though, I predicted leo's sacrifice from the moment the hijacking plan was brought up, but instead of it feeling like a cliche mess, they wrote it in such I way that I was anticipating it, and was still shocked! It actually had me worried that it was going to happen, and it honestly added to the experience. I went into the movie essentially blind, I hadn't even seen the trailer, and yet it managed to it every mark of what makes me enjoy a movie. of course there are some nitpicks i have with the movie, but it's more about me overthinking with the logic in the plot than any actual critiques. like how time travel is inherently complicated, and the whole plot should essentially lead to the grandfather paradox. the movie has problems, of course, all movies do. But it's handled in such a way that didn't even notice until after I watched. TLDR: everyone go watch the movie if you haven't. it's amazing
i just watched it, having no reference point to the ROTTMNT cartoon. what im about to say may seem weird, but i dont think you need to watch the series at all to get where this films going. it just, sets itself perfectly with that opening sequence and nicely throws the switch for body horror...TO THE MAX! which was something i did not expect in a kids movie at all.
Just watched it yesterday and I gotta say it really didn't disappoint. The battle animation is on par with the shredder fight a dn it's really a must see. Hope it gets the love it deserves although I'm not really into the attitude changes but it's really good really really good. Give it a chance.
Ngl, but this is the first time where I find the krang to be actually errifying. They weren't goofy or weak like how they were depicted in 2012 tmnt or the movie, that when they don'thave their armor, you can just kick the shit out of them. Even without the armor their OP AF, and they wasted no time taking over the world.
Rise Leo basically acted like Movie Sonic here. >Both acted like goofballs >Both have a big ego >Both get scold by the serious characters >Both get series in fights using all their skills they learn instead of relying of magic power and speed >Developed into better characters and understand their action.
I like how they made Leo kinda like the young Lou Jitsu. Care free nonchalant but talented enough to get by until he has to step up. Also tmnt in almost every iteration has them progressively becoming better fighters as the series goes on and they become battle tested. This series is just like that. Example the first episode when they could barely hold onto their weapons to now masterfully using their mystical abilities.
My one problem with the movie is that one or two things concerning the state of the future aren't explained. I guess those things dont really matter, im just insanely curious. And it ends kind of abruptly. I hope the series could continue but if it doesn't this makes a great (2nd) series finale. Loved the movie just as much as the show
@@10RexTheWolf01 oh she was trying to uncover a conspiracy in a local university that's trying to create substance that can quickly terminate forest life for illegal deforestation. She took some samples as proof
After hearing a lot of people say this was a good version of the TMNT in this universe and it’s making me want to look for the platform it’s on to actually watch it. I would actually like to see the TMNT universes crossing over again and having the Rise turtles join their universe counterparts from 87, 03, and 12 to fight against a powerful universe ending threat.
I think that the Shredder arc is better than the film, but then again it had more time to build up. Especially for Splinter, who almost has nothing to do in the film while he is the emotional anchor of the Shredder arc.
I think rottmnt deserved an apology. from me and some of those who thought the show wasn’t as good as 2012 TMNT, but I did actually feel tears on my like Donnie. I didn’t think I’d like it this much. With ninja turtles, I wasnt like an obsessed fan during my childhood but the cartoons were always a good watch, then when this rebooted show happened I didn’t think it was something I’d wanna watch and now I kinda do. Plus this is actually the first ninja turtles film that actually made me feel tears, idk if it’s Ben Schwartz’s doing because he really radiates some kind of energy when he’s in films, like in sonic 2 I was in tears when watching the film, and I don’t normally do that when I play sonic games, it’s nuts, now in this I felt heart and emotion it’s crazy. But overall, I sorta miss judged this show and I think it deserved a second chance
I'd still do think the Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series to be highly underrated and overhated which gets annoying from the haters the show is still good and the movie is Awesome
I recently finished the movie, it was quite entertaining, i recommend other tmnt fans to watch it. I kinda wish draxum had appeared but at least they gave cassandra a cameo.
What was also wild to me about this movie before I see the video, I have never seen such gruesome enemies really be so......terrifying, like I have never encountered a show that takes time to really deliver themselves to make that happen and it was a nice change of pace in a cartoon show I'm super grateful to have experienced this movie in full today
This was one of the only times I wondered if the series was truly going to kill off a character, I wasn’t sure if Leo would actually survive or they would truly kill him off
At first, when I watched the series, I thought, wh, what's goin on?, I mean the animation was nice, and the action scenes were very interesting,(hope I'm saying it right), but I felt like, something was off, the characters were different, the silly humor was a bit too much, even though the older tmnt had silly and action humor as well, but this had so much silliness, I almost dropped it, but kept on till the end, and saw the movie, and enjoyed it, still wish more rise had more seasons, but oh well, 9.10/10
ok, back and may have forgotten this video exists since I've watched the movie like .. 4 times now. but yeah: This movie was EVERYTHING i hoped for and more than that! the animation in a lot of shots were fantastic, the characters better than ever, the Krang might be the best versions of them out of the franchise and the music~ man... that scene with "Portal Chop"... too good. I hope it does good cause this is Rise's last hope for more adventures!
We need a TurtlesForever2 the interactions would be INSANE!!! If Rise had the the same tone from the get go as this movie than i'm certain me and many others would have taken a much more positive liking to this take as you said it did more harm than good by being so episodic and taking that overtly cartoonish tone like TTG and ThunderCats Roar. I passed on Rise but you can defo watch this without prior knowledgde the emotional beats still hit hard so i appreciate the move for that one of the highlights of this take is the releationship between the brothers. Animation alone does not make or carry a show but i was shocked by how good it was and the ammount of violenece by no means was it too much but going in from what i've seen of the show was a nice surprise, as it added weight and maturity two things i've been wanting from rise so they listend to my complaints XD. The Rise Kraang go HARD disgustingly overpowered too the point that they made the Turtles look WEAK AF and the way they nerfed them was siiiiick was thinking they'd have to adapt to their tradditional ways or have the cliche "power inside all along thing" which works but too predictable. The Rise Kraang are a solid version still love 2012s robotic hive mined type Kraang i hope we see them again in series S3 or 4 if it happens overall a good movie so a 6/10. I liked this Casey but feel like he was underused/underdeveloped we should have seen more of the future timeline to contrast with the past, also April and Splinter took a backseat imo and feel like they should have elaborated on the Kraang but maybe they did that in the show also why did Netflix not add the series to would have made more sense and hightened the experience.
My freaken god…. I am 27 years old and I am watching this movie with my 4 year old because he love ninja turtles…. Guys you have to watch it this movie was so freaken amazing. Just wow. The story has a rollar coaster of emotions and it just so great. This movie is now my #1 favorite movie now and it a kids show.
I only saw Season 1 before the movie, and I kinda wish I had known about S2 beforehand but at least I’ll get an excuse to rewatch this masterpiece again
Why does this movie hit harder than the series? For me I felt like we got our Leo back and he demonstrates what made him a great leader in the first place! The series was too goofy at first but then it got more serious and emotional! Then the movie got dark, emotional, and the 2D animation was incredible! I haven't watched all the episodes from all the tmnt shows but what I do know is that this movie demonstrates the true meaning of family, how much they risk their lives to protect one another and how much they love each other! I disliked how Mikey was treated in 2012 and I was happy they redeemed him in Rottmnt and pray that the franchise will redeem him more as he’s my favorite turtle! Go Heroes in a half shell!!!
I hope more people watch it, it’s so good, I want more. I only saw it once, I do want to watch it again, wondering if I can talk a friend into watching it with me.

Biggest take away....
I REALLY should watch Rise.
Absolutely.
Yessss, especially the 20min episodes. Also there are only 26 episodes, so it’ll be fast to finish/watch 😭

Overall,
This movie is stunning, it does not deserve the flack people give it.
it took me a while to warm up to leo's character in this version, but I love this movie because it shows some great character development for him, the relationship with his brothers and the emotional beats were great for him as well. I love how we got to see him rise to be the leader! I also love Ben shwartz! He does a great job voicing Leo!
MAN! This show was literally phenomenal and this movie lived up to it entirely, and it's now my favorite TMNT movie.
still the most underrated TMNT Show ever and there movie is Awesome
@bone-snypa well then is it the og? Cause the other two are pretty well rated
@bone-snypa the first two look the same tho
@bone-snypa any reason why they look bad?

Just watched this move, and I gotta say it was AMAZING. I was so blown away by the amazing animation in this movie, I could really feel the highstakes and the emotional moments really did leave an impact.
DUDE-
The movie artists really went "Body horror? Mmmmh, yeah, just a sprink- oh."
Nickelodeon promoted the show so badly, I didn’t even knew about rottmnt until like a few weeks ago 💀
The animation GAVE ME CHILLS I absolutely adore this movie
Imma just say this he is right about the emotional aspect of the movie most moments had me tearing up a lot and it’s heart shattering but really good movie 10/10
Super duper hoping that season 3 happens. Now that Leonardo has more come to terms with what it means to be the leader I would absolutely love to see that play out in other adventurers
Yeah!
The show is so bad i hope it gets cancelled
@@Acedegenerate07 Jokes on you dumbass! It already got cancelled!
Wait…
Also the Krang need titles, I’m thinking “Krang Prime” , “Brother Krang” and “Sister Krang”.
they had to fit in as much as they could because the total movie time got cut short but they still made it rlly good!
I totally agree with every point it was fantastic af
Rise and 2012 for me are the ones that do the best dad Splinter dynamic
Alright
Still cannot believe Sora voices Casey.

I was surprised by the blood and Leo saying badass mostly because ya know nick is the kids channel
I was a bit surprised too cuz nick is for kids, but You can see that this movie was intended for older audiences around 10-14 or older
Blood wasn't such a big thing but hearing profanity is a bit surprising for a nickelodeon show, I've seen profanity be slipped in other kids shows for example Loli rock "hell ya", but anyways ya it is surprising
Glad I watched it when it premiered and I liked it so much that I stayed with it
I think this is the movie that finally got me into tmnt
Rottmnt has quickly surpassed the 2013 TMNT series as my favorite, I’m so glad I didn’t sleep on this series… unlike many others who did

What if they were home-schooled by the worst possible version of a Danny DeVito character?"
In the Rise series, we meet Leo at just 14 years old and frankly, he does behave like a know-it-all 14 year old boy and he and his bros have been home-schooled by a fat, lazy mutant who wants to keep them safe by hardly training them at all, kind of like teenage pregnancy statistics among home-schooled kids in the US.
As a teenager myself I can relate to all adaptations of the TMNT except the Rise turtles. They feel like 8 year olds in this version.
And I gotta say the final battle was pretty epic.
Glad it live up to the hype because most movies or games are not able to do they just chop up trailers to make it look good
I gotta say during some of the “on edge of your seats” and “Really heart yanking” moments of the movie it made me tear up thinking “oh my god is this seriously gonna get more heart wrenching, are they really doing this?”. The movie did a awesome job of keeping a small humorous tone but also having a serious plot, I loved it so much and really hope the series gets picked up again but this time with having both the foot clan and krang
Who else was shook when Leo said badass. In a kids movie!!!
No matter what, Leo is my favorite turtle/favorite character of this series and movie💙💙💙

Quick TV show review:
While the show felt only a handful of episodes were cannon/serious and the rest felt filler with characters development/world builder. There OP with mystic powers
My movie review:
GOTTTT DAMNNNNN 🔥 this is was cool af!
This show was so underrated
I just got back from watching this movie,It was absolutely phenomenal and one of the best thing's to come out of the franchise period...Hopefully Playmates toy's will get thier act together and make some action figure's for this and fast
Where did you watch it????

Prior to rise, my favorite versions of the turtles was 2003. I can safely say Rise is my new favorite but something I don't see enough of from Rise fans is the praise that needs to be given to the writing staff. I can easily see a show like this being done by people who don't care enough to put time and effort in and chucking out garbage because "it's a kids show." (Example: see the Bay version). Yeah, dunk on the haters but don't forget to acknowledge the writers, animators, and actors who went in to make this show/movie great.
I like how the shredder armour was shown to be the armour of the crang.
Also when they beat the he'll out of the turtles it was insane.
i'm gonna be honest here, i didn't even know the show was a thing until the movie came out and youtube started to recommend me a lot of compilations.
[Movie Spoilers]
And then when i watched the movie, I was absolutely starstruck. honestly i was so taken aback by just the blood in the opening shot that I didn't even notice they slipped in leo saying "badass" on my first watch.
"Well there goes the space-time continuum. "
Bro I just got of the screening and it's crazy. I am on the credits too! So excited!
i just watched it, having no reference point to the ROTTMNT cartoon. what im about to say may seem weird, but i dont think you need to watch the series at all to get where this films going.
it just, sets itself perfectly with that opening sequence and nicely throws the switch for body horror...TO THE MAX! which was something i did not expect in a kids movie at all.
Loves the movie action was fire I honestly wish it was longer to explain more stuff or go into would have loved to see the Casey's interact
Hope, is everything we have to give rise of TMNT.
Just watched it yesterday and I gotta say it really didn't disappoint. The battle animation is on par with the shredder fight a dn it's really a must see. Hope it gets the love it deserves although I'm not really into the attitude changes but it's really good really really good. Give it a chance.
bruh even if you dont watch the show, THE MOVIE SOLO IS SO FRICKING SICK
Ngl, but this is the first time where I find the krang to be actually errifying. They weren't goofy or weak like how they were depicted in 2012 tmnt or the movie, that when they don'thave their armor, you can just kick the shit out of them. Even without the armor their OP AF, and they wasted no time taking over the world.
Rise Leo basically acted like Movie Sonic here.
>Both acted like goofballs
>Both have a big ego
>Both get scold by the serious characters
>Both get series in fights using all their skills they learn instead of relying of magic power and speed
>Developed into better characters and understand their action.
Both voiced by same person
Loved the movie just as much as the show
@El Tomate Mutante Probably will get an epilogue.
I totally agree

After hearing a lot of people say this was a good version of the TMNT in this universe and it’s making me want to look for the platform it’s on to actually watch it.
I would actually like to see the TMNT universes crossing over again and having the Rise turtles join their universe counterparts from 87, 03, and 12 to fight against a powerful universe ending threat.
The first season and the movie are on Netflix. The second season is on UA-cam and (I think) Paramount+... I just bought S2 on UA-cam though
I’m starting to get the feeling that the movie will be better than the tv series
Have you even seen the series
@@TheSpot000 that shredder fight was one of the best fights in TMNT history it felt like a anime
@@fredbearchannel976 i know, what are you trying to say
THIS MOVIE SHOULD’VE BEEN IN THEATERSS!!!
I recently finished the movie, it was quite entertaining, i recommend other tmnt fans to watch it.
I kinda wish draxum had appeared but at least they gave cassandra a cameo.
this movie (and show) is amazing. I cried A LOT during the emotional parts
What was also wild to me about this movie before I see the video, I have never seen such gruesome enemies really be so......terrifying, like I have never encountered a show that takes time to really deliver themselves to make that happen and it was a nice change of pace in a cartoon show
I'm super grateful to have experienced this movie in full today
Maybe I'm watching too much Transformers but Leader Kraangs mechsuit is uber sexy
This was one of the only times I wondered if the series was truly going to kill off a character,
I wasn’t sure if Leo would actually survive or they would truly kill him off
At first, when I watched the series, I thought, wh, what's goin on?, I mean the animation was nice, and the action scenes were very interesting,(hope I'm saying it right), but I felt like, something was off, the characters were different, the silly humor was a bit too much, even though the older tmnt had silly and action humor as well, but this had so much silliness, I almost dropped it, but kept on till the end, and saw the movie, and enjoyed it, still wish more rise had more seasons, but oh well, 9.10/10
Krang refill looks awesome plus I also like magic hand mikey
Casey jones finally appears in TMNT media after 2012
This Movie makes really want a Turtles Forever 2, using RotTMNT as the leading role characters.
ok, back and may have forgotten this video exists since I've watched the movie like ..
This movie came onto my netflix recommended and got me hoocked on the entire tmnt everything (i just wish i could also watch the series -_-)
This movie is AMAZING. If you haven’t seen it watch it RIGHT NOW because it’s my all time favorite movie
I only saw Season 1 before the movie, and I kinda wish I had known about S2 beforehand but at least I’ll get an excuse to rewatch this masterpiece again
This is my new favorite movie now, it's so good!
It Gave Mikey a Direction that he's never had before. At least not in cartoon form, I love Mystic Sorcerer Master Michelangelo.
Rise is so slept on it shocks me, it’s the most slept on thing EVER. The movie? Amazing. The show? AMAZING!!! So slept on smh
I cried during this movie more than watching Endgame, so...
