❤Miranda, disagree about your rejections interpretation but just want to say FMCSA has delayed the broker financial responsibility rule until Jan 16 2026. I filed my BOI 2 months ago even though I haven’t operated my own truck since Aug 29 2023 and sold it 2 months later because I didn’t dissolve my LLC until later on in 2024. I was required to file, FYI. I won’t have to anymore. You do get a confirmation email that your filing was successful.
My question about double brokering is: Can't your driver check the BOL at the Shipper's load yard and verify that their, or your shipping company's, information is on the BOL as the Carrier for that load before taking it? Or is that info not on all BOLs?
I do drive in Work off the spot market and if you bargain with them they’re willing to work with you. I picked up a load yesterday in New Jersey going to Kissimmee Florida. We had it for 27. I got it for 3000. For the last two weeks it’s been like that it could just be the holiday season I’m not complaining
I deal with drivers from other countries and they have an International Drivers License. They don't have a US CDL. They also don't have to get their Medical Card from a US doctor. They renew everything with their home country. Also a lot of these drivers live in the company truck and are paid under the table, they aren't paying US taxes. It pisses me off because it's hurting American drivers playing by the rules. They also don't have to do random drug testing, they tell me they smoke Marijuana because they don't have to test.
