Try to run a weatherstrip on both surfaces, like a car door which has weatherstrip on the door, and also the door jamb. That will create a seal that lasts longer than just a strip on one edge. The strip on only one side will quickly lose its shape against a harder surface. Two weatherstrips will seal against each other, each one compressing slightly without losing their shape.

Thanks for the advice! I'll have to find some thin weather stripping so it'll still lock in place.

Use a fat tire enter tube to cover your opening double it up yes it will eventually give out but it will help you keep water out

Good stuff! I was thinking of rubber or something flexible for the rain gutter at the hinge. Idk, just pondering. 👍

Same here, I saw a "Polyhinge" online and am thinking that it could work.

I have recently came across a “teardrop back hatch hurricane hinge” from a search on internet. It is 2 pieces that looks like it slides inside each other and is waterproof. I have not fully investigated this but maybe an option although I don’t n ow how the retro fit will work. Good luck. Love the build.

I'll have to research it more but it looks like that could be what I'm looking for!

I have a question about the floor, is it the same material as the walls (thickness). Are you using 3mm aluminum/poly/ aluminum sandwich?

Currently yes, there's a slight flex to it which I'm not a huge fan of but I'm confident it'll be alright.

If you're smart, you'll run a white wire all the way up to the back. Do not ground to the trailer because you're truck. Does not carry the ground to the trailer all the time. Then your lights flicker, so if you're a professional, you'll run a white wire in your room all the way back to the white wire on both lights at the back and any satellites that you have to wire up. Side markers, because the reason why is when your balls moving around, you lose ground, and if you put grease on it, it'll lose ground again. So it's best to run a white wire in. You're alone with your other wires.

Hey again I great build so far. Is there a reason you chose ACM panels over just solid aluminum?

Budget mainly, they offered a good look and waterproofness/rust free for the price.
