TRAD SLIP - OR NOT?

- When traditional window cleaning, one of the most important things is slip - where the squeegee rubber glides accross the glass really smoothly without squeeking and dragging which can be tiresome and won't help with accuracy at all. If you are having problems with this, then in this video I give you a hint or two as to what to do about it.......

I've got a wagtail slimline with a fliq pad attached and yellow spotless rubber and it is amazing.
Slip wise I've tried many combination but have now settled on HG window liquid and baby shampoo... Yes.. baby shampoo. It is brilliant!! Fantastic slip

Good blades do make the difference, I'm partial to Ettore pro medium. I've tried Soren, Moerman, it's too soft. Harder blades seem not to pick up the solution as well. The solution sometimes I mix on the scrubber, especially for houses. If a drip happens it's plain water. There's a 1 to 1 soap solution in my bucket, 1 gallon to 1 second of dawn. Enough for being a surfactant also have glide w/o too much foam.

Tried Black Diamond yes a good rubber but I found when you tear it apart it has a tendency to get nicks on the edge normally in the middle so you end up binning it.
Haven't had that yet but I can see it being a problem.
I do the same with my rubbers I’m very frugal when it comes to my rubbers and washers and tools 👉🏻👍🏻

Black Diamond is Danish - Rubbish in my opinion ☺️ I go with W5 from Lidil after one of your older videos and Ettore squeegee off, for interior clean. Congrats to the 6K well deserved

Nice one Chris , have you tried wagtail royal blue ? I recently got some it's nice . Only had it around a week so can't say how long it lasts
I havn't tried it yet. Always liked Wagtail rubber.
I used aldi liquid for yrs until 3month ago . Now i use lidl premium stuff. I must say it has the edge over aldi's. Try it out
I used to use W5 for years. I do think you might have a point.
I have trad work tomorrow, using wagtail rubber and fairy liquid, never do trad usually, tomorrow only £500 job 👌
