This is absolutely hilarious. Clearing the game data is so you don't have the map option, and you can't cheat by jumping to the end of the game. Zen left a comment telling you how to back up your game data.
hi im a mod for this game. i know this is 4 months old but mipha linked me to it so now im here lol. just to let you know, you can copy your save data. go to your app data and in i think local theres a com.innersloth.henrystickmin or something of the sort folder. that contains all the data for your bios, achievements, and the game. just copy that into a folder and when you need it again just put it back in. so yeah
I already knew that before I saw your comment but for me when I backup my 100% save to restart the game, when I put my 100% save back in the games folder, everything works perfectly except that I just miss all the fails for the three last games (ItA, FtC and CtM)

Skip intro is gone when you haven't played an episode, you need specific ranks for ctm and yet you did the fastest routes in ita and ftc but did a rank you never got in ftc. Rules are there to make it so it runs along smoothly. They are good rules because they make it so you can't skip stuff you normally can't skip on a 1st playthrough or access stuff you can't access unless you already have the requirements.
Rules are rules. "Why do I need to press play on Breaking the Bank instead of skipping the intro?" Timing starts on pressing Play "Why on earth do I need to clear my game data?" Just like any other game. You can't start a Super Mario 64 120 Star run on a 119 star save file, for example. Same applies here.
non legitimate run, you can't get the Civil War ending unless you first get the Ghost Inmate ending on Fleeing the Complex also, just learn how to back up your save files lol

I'm sorry, but as you can see... I have world record. The rules they have in place are stifling and unnecessary. I've tried to compromise by suggesting different categories, and I'm starting to believe that no one wants to consider legitimizing the run because they don't want to lose their place on the speedrun leaderboard.

It is impossible to run the game the way you did from a fresh download, which basically the entire point of a typical speedrun. Also, the current ACTUAL record holders could probably beat your record pretty easily if they adopted whatever ruleset you suggest

I think I can understand why you need a fresh file. It's so you can't make any illogical/impossible options. Although the combo you took is technically the fastest, it would be impossible to actually do in a fresh run, due to the fact that Revenged is the only available path from RPE and TB. Also, save backups exist lol

Didn't u get endings 'Rapidly promoted executive' and 'the betrayed' for the two ones, but when you did completing the mission, you did the one which requires you to have completed the 'ghost inmate' ending Edit: corrected the wrong required ending
Yeah, in the final ending you were supposed to have Ellie abandoned but you got the betrayed ending so the proper route would’ve been the revenged ending.
You should not need to delete data. They are all angry because you should do revenged. this is why the ending is not legit. You must respect the rules of completing the mission

i think you could maybe probably like copying your game folder in steam and putting it somewhere else on your pc then clear your game do the speedrun then put the folder back in

The Betrayed is a faster ending, but that means you're forced to go through Revenged, a very long ending to go through. The optimized route is BtB -> Sneaky Escapist (since the Lawyered Up ending ends up being too long with its cutscenes) -> Unseen Burglar (because of its lack of cutscenes) -> Rapidly Promoted Executive -> Ghost Inmate (those last two because they end up going to...) -> Toppat Civil Warfare (because it's the shortest CtM fail.
