Xscape may not have been the most successful of the major girl groups at their time, but I think their music aged better than any other groups’. Their music could still bang on the radio today if it was brand new. I think that’s why even though they didn’t have crossover success, they had one of the most successful 90s R&B reunion concerts. No shade, but TLC, En Vogue, and SWV not selling out the arenas that Xscape were albe to sell out on their last tour.
I have to disagree with you some. The original four sold platinum albums and the only group who could match Xscape vocally was En Vogue because like En Vogue each member of Xscape can also do lead and I'm talking about the original four of En Vogue. Dupri did songs that showcased each one of their ranges. After the third album group turmoil broke them up unfortunately. Crossover if not mistaken I believe understanding and who do I run to did cross over, but I agree with the rest that is why in the VS against SWV, Xscape blew them out the water cause the label only allowed Coco to sing lead when the other girls could also sing but we weren't able know that due to the songs being written for Coco which is what broke them up.
I agree with you that Xscape’s music has aged remarkably well, but when it comes to the success of their reunion tour, I don’t think we can ignore the fact that 2/4 of the group are currently very popular reality stars.

The dance steps were less intricate because the focus was on vocals. You cannot jump split , spread your hands and sing high notes at the same time. these days of course the whole thing is 10x elaborate but instead of the voice you can get the beats.
