I think wipes work well for PvP, but for PvE those players tend to be more casual and I don't see them enjoying it. Even for me it's gonna cause burnout fast.

@@ItsJustTom don't need server wipes to clear old no longer used bases you just have a decay system if its not being topped up with more materials then it just get deleted or becomes open for players to remove themselves simple

The wipe doesn't help anyone at all. It actually hurts players who don't have a ton of time to grind. The players that max level will always get back to where they were, the only thing you're doing ins handicapping people who already struggle to keep up
There's not a lot of content for long play. And the whole game is built around the seasonal wipes. Look at the building. Cut down a tree, you get a wall. Loot one settlement, you got enough mats to build all your unlocked workstations. The whole quest line is easily done in 20-30 hours. Endgame? You won't even engage in that if you're not playing often anyway. Because it involves group play. The whole game is built around group play and seasonal content. That's it... Eternal land is there for building up your dream home and everything you loot in season can go there.
I dont care about the wipe, its the time. Six weeks are to little, think about those that have a job and a family, they can maybe play some hour's in the evening.
Could be longer, I agree. But to be fair. Even with a few hours a week, you can still reach endgame super fast. Yeah you won't be top geared player on the server, but you don't have to be.
I agree that was kinda my concern too as a father of 3 with a full-time job. Six weeks goes buy real quick when you only get to play about 8-12 hours out of the week but it is also real easy to get end game if you just focus on that. Overall I'm more upset about the fact I'll have to rebuild my house 😅 I love building things and this game definitely feels really nice compared to other games, a wipe though like tarkov in terms of time would be better for us but I understand the community probably has alot more time for this stuff then us parents do so they gotta cater to the masses and that's understandable
Well, PvP players enjoy this wipe business cause they play for hours on end... They dont care if the house looks neet, they dont care if the house looks nice or if its symmetrical or good looking. PvP players just want to kill, conquer and repeat. PvE players like to have their stuff clean, nice looking and enjoy gathering stuff to upgrade the house further, and play for a couple hours at most... Want a wipe? Wipe de PvPer's and leave the PvE servers... Cause I am telling you, this game will become toxic and hardcore.... PvE servers? Gone...
Well thats pretty disappointing. I usually play games in short bursts where I take long breaks and coming back to having everything reset when I come back after a few months kinda makes me not want to play the game after all.

exactly... all the time in farming the resources is just thowing me.... we dont get electric drills and chainsaws early in the game... the weapon mods and the teir 5 weapons too are also hard earned...i remember how i grinded to get the materials just to craft a weapon... all of this gone L move from the devs
already uninstalled this bs game after this its a bad decision not everyone has time to grind 24hr in a game 1 week or 6 week reseting your lvl and taking away your collected materials is bad

I am really interested to see how these 6 week wipes are going to progress the game, but the route the devs are taking looks cool and can probably will keep loads of people engaged with the game.
I'm in 65+ hours and just hit lv 40. I love completing all map side quests etc. and build a decent house. Redoing my home, all crafting benches, grinding all mats, map discoveries etc. seems like a 2nd job and I'm really not interested in such rinse & repeat gameplay :( :( Pity I'm really enjoying it...........................

idk man, the way it sounds isnt as bad since we get to keep like about 60% of our stuff. I do see the point of it but like for me, the joy of survival games such as this is getting stronger and stronger as we get better gears and lots and lots of resources. When they wipe like half of that, which in this case, resources and gears, it can be rather draining to do that again. I was expecting they meant they would reset the loots and quests and maybe new batch of enemies replacing the old ones entirely instead of our gears and resources. But who knows. It hasn't happen yet and i can't say much. I'll wait for it and see. If it's not as bad as we thought it would be then hey, good for us. If what we feared was indeed true, then ig other might still enjoy it lmao

Take 'Fallout 76'--if you want to start over from level one because you're bored, you can. At any time. But you aren't FORCED into doing so. Ah, choice! Such a beautiful thing. So, to those who are defending wipes, my response is this: if people want to start over, what's stopping them? I have a problem with forcing this decision on people and doing so quite often. That said, being able to take some items over from one season to the next is nice (drill, chainsaw, tungsten pickaxe, etc.). But if you're trying to make wipes as painless as possible, why have them at all? That's how I see it.
@alexperera7919 you can craft them at tier one as you get the mats. But T5 has a lvl 40 requirement. So even if you craft the best one from scratch, you will be able to use it only once you hit 40. Quests are most likely going to be different. Since these save. So next season we might have new map and new quest line. Hopefully.

I don't get why everyone is so confused, the V bot in game spams you explaining the situation, besides who doesn't know how Black Desert Online Works. What I didn't realize was that we had not explored the whole map. I thought everyone had ample time to progress the whole map, and explore all areas.
It's just my thoughts. If in once human only pvp mode all the players are same strong no matter what lvl they are like apex legends, the finals, xdefiant etc, then it would be more balanced and fair for everyone. And pve is okay for now. Again its just my wish. That's it. Love this video❤❤

Blueprints can only be made with the right workstation, which we have to unlock again. So you wont have access to that until you're in the same state of the game you were when you FIRST got it making all those resources you've horded like a deranged rat, which means nothing but to have "ah I might have a spare in my shed" moment. These devs are trying so hard to keep their playerbase before the server wipe, in the vain hopes to keep making money. If they don't change, they will lose so many players until the game is on life support.
You can build any blueprint you own at tier 1 which is probably an hour in the new season? Loot a couple of strongholds and mine some copper, build the gear workbench. And there you go. But, the game might just not be for everyone, and that's fine.

All i know is i been lvl 50, golden armor, golden guns, golden mods, solar drill and all AND I STILL GOT NO IDEA whats about to transfer each season and how.. GREAT game with STUPID RESETTIN/ TRANSFERRIN. For all i know i might not been sleepin these days for no real next season benefit. And one question, how on earth will i be able to keep repairin my tier 5 jaw d50 and my tier 5 sniper both upgraded to max next season when the mats required for repairs are farmable only at the very end lvl45-50 areas?? I don't think you're suposed to use the legendary weapon from the get go. You'll still need to level. But they give you the oportunity to build a tier 1-2-3-4-5 again, I guess. I think this game is all about end game anyway, since leveling only takes such a short time, really. And the hardest mats to get are acid and stardust, in my opinion. The rest are really not hard to get. I think that if we get new content it's worth it. It's basically like going to a new zone in another MMO, but instead of leveling from 70 to 80, you start anew at 1. Think about it, most gear you got on WOW in the burning crusade for example, is almost useless in Wrath of the Lich King, the next expansion. At least here, you get the means to craft some good stuff, that'll still be good, instead of starting from scratch with other weapons. I'm excited to see how it plays out. If we do play the same area and the same content over and over again, then I do see a problem. But so far, all hints show new scenarios and new map regions. So you might aswell be leveling from 50 to 100. Same thing, really.
Personally I don’t dislike the reset function and I will just wait and see how it feels. Thank you for the information with the map because at least the next few resets we will see a new region. The only thing that worries me is the duration of 6 weeks. This is neither good for players or the devs if they want to release new meaningful content every season. Another problem I see is that mission guides or mystical crate locations might be harder to find because content creators have only a limited time to find these places and make videos about them which in turn also hurts new players who need some help.
True. But the seasons will bring us back on the same map again. It might be that even next season is the same map but a different scenario. So those videos are still going to be valid. But they'll also be seasonal trend.
I have played CBT2 and CBT3 and I love this game, I truly do. So you can say I'm that kind of hardcore gamer who enjoys spending most of his free time to grind, lvl up or do content. But I'm also a person with my responsibilities, I'm married and I have a puppy, so my time is limited. Why do I have to enjoy seasonal wipes if I just hit lvl 40 by the 4th week of the wipe? Is just doesn't make any sense to me, the right call to go is to split by two the servers that we currently have, some are SEASONAL, others are permanent, so you have all your community happy, sweaty gamers, casual gamers and 2-hour-a-day type of gamers. Sorry if I look disappointed, but I really do love this game since day one but having to lvl up for eternity is not an option for me, thanks for the video! ❤
Thanks for watching, bud. I mean.. I get it. But I also don't know what to say. You're lvl 40 after 4 weeks. That's already the endgame cap. You can wear the best gear. Few more dungeons and a boss and that's it. That's the content. I don't think any casual people want to engage in gvg wars or anything like that, anyway. Building a house can be done in eternal land and also, the grind in this game is not a grind. That's why you don't build walls brick by brick. You cut down a tree and boom. You got a wall. You loot one settlement? You most likely have everything you need to build the new generators and stuff. Honestly, I think if it wouldn't wipe every season, most people would do this: Get to endgame. Then quit. Because if you have no time to engage in PvP raiding and stuff you're mostly done with questing and pve content in those first 4-6 weeks of the first season. Sorry for the rant. 🤣🤣

If it's looted and not crafted, you won't. But you can't repair it either. So when it's gone. It's gone anyway. If you crafted it from a blueprint. You'll have to craft it again next season.

"A game for everyone is a game for no one" If you cant play it because it has wipe, then this game is not for you, there are people who would leave and people who would stay. But if you look at Rust and look back at Once Human, you see that Once Human wipe is actually not bad at all since you keep almost everything you have.

they said they might add a permanent Server and some Servers with longer seasons . But they didnt reach a conclusion yet and its all subject to change until the first wipes happens .
Looks like ill be playing every other 6 weeks. This isnt call of duty prestige system. I don't have time to rebuild my base every month and a half. There are other games and other aspects in life (working and providing for my family ect) to come back and focus on starting over again. Nah man aint the way. This is their way of cutting down the olayerbase. Have fun grind heads.
personally im hating this feature of switching servers after phasee 6... all the time used in collecting the valuable resources and materials along with guns and stuff that i farmed fighting those annoying zombies ...just to lose everything in the next season... yup everythings gets transferred to the eternaland... and we can claim just few of them? im feeling like crying cuz i was farming so hard and wanted to play this game for some time ...but now it feels like waste of time.... im seriously dissapointed
Sorry to hear that, bud. What have you been farming for, though? I never needed to do more than one blackfell run when I ran out of mats or 10 min of mining. And I played PvP so I was farming mats for explosives all the time.
Pvp servers, fine. But pve? Having to level back up over, and over, and over, and OVER. what? I might just play until the server im on gets wiped then stop playing if they dont fix this. No one has time to grind lvls and re-explore all the rift activators.... this is the dumbest idea for a survival/looting/farming game. It makes sense and smart for PvP but for PvE, people just want to chill and vibe on their own. those people will not appreciate or enjoy the server wipe which will reset all their time and sweats. Upgrading wont fix crashes, lag spikes, enemies becoming invincible, losing meme points permanently when refunding a skill, character arms being twisted in menu, the game losing your save game world location when relogging, your sight on guns becomming non textured/black. Last night the game became unplayable for most people on the server PVE0026 from lag. Multiple crashes. I have 100+ hours in game If youre not finding bugs, then youre a lucky few

Do they know Pve players exist ? Seasonal wipes is good for PvP players to keep things fair and fresh , not for pve players ??? Honestly, I don't mind even if we don't transfer anything from eternal. Since you still have to level even if you bring in a tier 5. But yes. I'm curious about it as well.

I think everything goes into eternal depot. What you get back in season will be dependent on some kind of currency.

I'm in 65+ hours and just hit lv 40. I love completing all map side quests etc. and build a decent house. Redoing my home, all crafting benches, grinding all mats, map discoveries etc. seems like a 2nd job and I'm really not interested in such rinse & repeat gameplay :( :( Pity I'm really enjoying it...........................

idk man, the way it sounds isnt as bad since we get to keep like about 60% of our stuff. I do see the point of it but like for me, the joy of survival games such as this is getting stronger and stronger as we get better gears and lots and lots of resources. When they wipe like half of that, which in this case, resources and gears, it can be rather draining to do that again. I was expecting they meant they would reset the loots and quests and maybe new batch of enemies replacing the old ones entirely instead of our gears and resources. But who knows. It hasn't happen yet and i can't say much. I'll wait for it and see. If it's not as bad as we thought it would be then hey, good for us. If what we feared was indeed true, then ig other might still enjoy it lmao

Take 'Fallout 76'--if you want to start over from level one because you're bored, you can. At any time. But you aren't FORCED into doing so. Ah, choice! Such a beautiful thing.
So, to those who are defending wipes, my response is this: if people want to start over, what's stopping them? I have a problem with forcing this decision on people and doing so quite often. That said, being able to take some items over from one season to the next is nice (drill, chainsaw, tungsten pickaxe, etc.). But if you're trying to make wipes as painless as possible, why have them at all? That's how I see it.

You'll probably have a chance to save some of those. But by default, they don't save. But, you'll be able to craft them again.

@alexperera7919 you can craft them at tier one as you get the mats. But T5 has a lvl 40 requirement. So even if you craft the best one from scratch, you will be able to use it only once you hit 40.
Quests are most likely going to be different. Since these save. So next season we might have new map and new quest line. Hopefully.

I don't get why everyone is so confused, the V bot in game spams you explaining the situation, besides who doesn't know how Black Desert Online Works. What I didn't realize was that we had not explored the whole map. I thought everyone had ample time to progress the whole map, and explore all areas.
It's just my thoughts. If in once human only pvp mode all the players are same strong no matter what lvl they are like apex legends, the finals, xdefiant etc, then it would be more balanced and fair for everyone. And pve is okay for now. Again its just my wish. That's it. Love this video❤❤

I value the time its taken to not only unlock my skills, but the effort I've put to not just gather the resources(in game) to build the systems, but also MY TIME (IRL).
Blueprints can only be made with the right workstation, which we have to unlock again. So you wont have access to that until you're in the same state of the game you were when you FIRST got it making all those resources you've horded like a deranged rat, which means nothing but to have "ah I might have a spare in my shed" moment.
These devs are trying so hard to keep their playerbase before the server wipe, in the vain hopes to keep making money. If they don't change, they will lose so many players until the game is on life support.
You can build any blueprint you own at tier 1 which is probably an hour in the new season? Loot a couple of strongholds and mine some copper, build the gear workbench. And there you go. But, the game might just not be for everyone, and that's fine.

Yes. There are newer servers that have a different seasonal stage. But they all end up wiping.

Must be new to gaming in 2024 then. Most games have either gone this direction or going this way. Dayz, Diablo, POE, Tarkov, VRising etc.

All i know is i been lvl 50, golden armor, golden guns, golden mods, solar drill and all AND I STILL GOT NO IDEA whats about to transfer each season and how.. GREAT game with STUPID RESETTIN/ TRANSFERRIN. For all i know i might not been sleepin these days for no real next season benefit. And one question, how on earth will i be able to keep repairin my tier 5 jaw d50 and my tier 5 sniper both upgraded to max next season when the mats required for repairs are farmable only at the very end lvl45-50 areas?? I don't think you're suposed to use the legendary weapon from the get go. You'll still need to level.
But they give you the oportunity to build a tier 1-2-3-4-5 again, I guess.
I think this game is all about end game anyway, since leveling only takes such a short time, really. And the hardest mats to get are acid and stardust, in my opinion.
The rest are really not hard to get.
I think that if we get new content it's worth it. It's basically like going to a new zone in another MMO, but instead of leveling from 70 to 80, you start anew at 1.
Think about it, most gear you got on WOW in the burning crusade for example, is almost useless in Wrath of the Lich King, the next expansion. At least here, you get the means to craft some good stuff, that'll still be good, instead of starting from scratch with other weapons.
I'm excited to see how it plays out. If we do play the same area and the same content over and over again, then I do see a problem. But so far, all hints show new scenarios and new map regions. So you might aswell be leveling from 50 to 100. Same thing, really.
Personally I don’t dislike the reset function and I will just wait and see how it feels. Thank you for the information with the map because at least the next few resets we will see a new region. The only thing that worries me is the duration of 6 weeks. This is neither good for players or the devs if they want to release new meaningful content every season. Another problem I see is that mission guides or mystical crate locations might be harder to find because content creators have only a limited time to find these places and make videos about them which in turn also hurts new players who need some help.
True. But the seasons will bring us back on the same map again. It might be that even next season is the same map but a different scenario. So those videos are still going to be valid. But they'll also be seasonal trend.

I have played CBT2 and CBT3 and I love this game, I truly do.
So you can say I'm that kind of hardcore gamer who enjoys spending most of his free time to grind, lvl up or do content. But I'm also a person with my responsibilities, I'm married and I have a puppy, so my time is limited.
Why do I have to enjoy seasonal wipes if I just hit lvl 40 by the 4th week of the wipe? Is just doesn't make any sense to me, the right call to go is to split by two the servers that we currently have, some are SEASONAL, others are permanent, so you have all your community happy, sweaty gamers, casual gamers and 2-hour-a-day type of gamers.
Sorry if I look disappointed, but I really do love this game since day one but having to lvl up for eternity is not an option for me, thanks for the video! ❤

Few more dungeons and a boss and that's it. That's the content.
I don't think any casual people want to engage in gvg wars or anything like that, anyway.
Building a house can be done in eternal land and also, the grind in this game is not a grind.
That's why you don't build walls brick by brick. You cut down a tree and boom. You got a wall.
You loot one settlement? You most likely have everything you need to build the new generators and stuff.
Honestly, I think if it wouldn't wipe every season, most people would do this: Get to endgame. Then quit.
Because if you have no time to engage in PvP raiding and stuff you're mostly done with questing and pve content in those first 4-6 weeks of the first season.

If it's looted and not crafted, you won't. But you can't repair it either. So when it's gone. It's gone anyway. If you crafted it from a blueprint. You'll have to craft it again next season.

"A game for everyone is a game for no one" If you cant play it because it has wipe, then this game is not for you, there are people who would leave and people who would stay. But if you look at Rust and look back at Once Human, you see that Once Human wipe is actually not bad at all since you keep almost everything you have.

they said they might add a permanent Server and some Servers with longer seasons .
But they didnt reach a conclusion yet and its all subject to change until the first wipes happens .
Looks like ill be playing every other 6 weeks. This isnt call of duty prestige system. I don't have time to rebuild my base every month and a half. There are other games and other aspects in life (working and providing for my family ect) to come back and focus on starting over again. Nah man aint the way. This is their way of cutting down the olayerbase. Have fun grind heads.

personally im hating this feature of switching servers after phasee 6... all the time used in collecting the valuable resources and materials along with guns and stuff that i farmed fighting those annoying zombies ...just to lose everything in the next season... yup everythings gets transferred to the eternaland... and we can claim just few of them?
im feeling like crying cuz i was farming so hard and wanted to play this game for some time ...but now it feels like waste of time.... im seriously dissapointed

This shouldnt be the only game i can play if i wanna get my levels back up akd stuff every time. This isnt a game. Its a chore XD

I dont like this blueprint carring over that not fair to new players who will start in season 4 for example, so how they will competet with someone who has legendary max out good on pvp server?
Most of the gear difference comes from the tiers themselves and not from the blueprints.
Seriously i only play 2 hours a day and now i find out i put lot of effort in my house now its gone and finally got the upgrade for my rides now its going to be gone and have to start all over again that shit. Now i know why everyone hates the game

No one has time to grind lvls and re-explore all the rift activators.... this is the dumbest idea for a survival/looting/farming game. It makes sense and smart for PvP but for PvE, people just want to chill and vibe on their own. those people will not appreciate or enjoy the server wipe which will reset all their time and sweats. Time to switch games. It was fun while it lasted!

Upgrading wont fix crashes, lag spikes, enemies becoming invincible, losing meme points permanently when refunding a skill, character arms being twisted in menu, the game losing your save game world location when relogging, your sight on guns becomming non textured/black.
Last night the game became unplayable for most people on the server PVE0026 from lag. Multiple crashes.

Do they know Pve players exist ? Seasonal wipes is good for PvP players to keep things fair and fresh , not for pve players ??? Resetting revert 6 weeks is horrible for people who can only play 1-2 hours , that being said , let’s not underestimate these players , bunch of people who play sims would like building over and over and over again would spent real money on this shiet !
