Pairing this reel with the Tsurinoya Ares C472UL rod (one-piece, through-action graphite blank) makes for a really awesome flip-casting rig for UL finesse lures. In this video I found myself a moving target to practice some flip casting with - using a lure weighing a little under 3-g in total. The ultralight spool and effective braking system meant that low, flat casts were a breeze.
Being able to buy CDM or Chinese Bait Finesse System gear and achieve performance like this makes it a fantastic time to get into BFS-style fishing.
