Ya, like Andrew I think was young dumb and full of ....
I do believe if you take most guys younger life and expose it, they will look bad. I think Andrew earnestly wants to do better. I think some of the piling on stories might have been part of a smear campaign.
But what this video's guy is criticizing Andrew of just sound like the Russel Brand defenders right now.
I for one am willing to give Andrew the opportunity to come back. I would follow him. Because we are all flawed people, I have done bad things in the past I would never want to have to address.
But I believe I as a person have grown to be a better person. And the individuals I did wrong in my past, I have addressed on personal levels as life has given the opportunity. Some people let me reconcile and nend fences, others chewed me out. And that's fine. The people I wronged in the past don't owe me anything and don't have to accept any apology I have.
But idk, everyone online need to learn some healthy real life processes and attitudes. Most things aren't a zero sum game. It's not a "I win, you lose" situation.
Life is messy, and anyone willing to better themselves I think deserves the opportunity to prove it.

I don't know... When a person can completely separate the moral, or effects on others of one's actions to only focus completely on PR or "saving face", that's the kind of person that I want to stay as far away from as possible. Of course, there are many other people in this world just like this video creator. Doesn't mean I'm naive, it just is disgusting to me. Especially when it's showcased as an almost " how to" video. How you can make it appear so effortless to block out the reason for having to "apologize", is simply scary and gross.
Here's an idea... How about focusing on "how not to" do hurtful narcissistic shit to others, so you don't have to worry about making a fake PR video to save a fake persona? I'm sure there are plenty of riches in your future if this is your career choice. Super sad though.

The part where he says “I’ve always taken no for an answer” is immediately followed by “I thought that persistence is a form of flattery.” Those two ideas conflict, it would’ve been better to stick to one of them as this ends up undermining his credibility overall at a time where his credibility is critical to his future. And according to the accusations he definitely was NOT taking no for an answer, going as far as to cry hysterically when he was turned down, which multiple women claimed.

Yea, I see a lot of people say one thing to then do and say another in a different situation. Many people who have a platform these day's are hypocrites and don't stand on their values or morals(if they have any) they just say what they think they should at the moment.

I strongly disagree that he did anything particularly wrong here given his situation. He apologized upfront to the people who watch him and the people who criticize him have to admit to the fact that he’s apologetic regardless of how bad or lack thereof his offenses actually were. He’s simply stating none of us have the full story or context, the people that felt affected are entitled to their victimization and he’s proving that the money and his overall sense of marketability are not on the forefront of this video and that no one could interpret it in that way. I don’t think he’s trying to maximize profitability here but rather maximize the betterment of all the parties involved his “victims” his fans, his detractors as well as himself. He’s even planting the seeds to start encouraging his audience mostly young men (let’s be honest here) that these “strategies” to get a woman to sleep with you aren’t always as ok as we think and that we should learn to take more accountability regardless of whether or not we fully agree with how bad our actions are objectively or comparatively. That said I’m proud of him and I honestly think this was the best course of action and when people are done trying to criticize every which way and look at this objectively this will age like a fine wine.

Apologies for the victims should be to the victims like call them or talk to them … what is the point of posting a personal apology to a public audience … by making a video on your UA-cam channel you have now expanded the target audience of the apology from just the victims to anybody who watches the video.

By that I mean I agree, apologies SHOULD be for the victim. But this particular apology is not for the victims it’s for the public. So the guy criticizes Andrew’s misidentification of this video being an apology to the victims.
But yes this guys says the the apology should be to the public as opposed to you saying it should be to the victims. I think he’s saying “should” from a perspective of PR success, not morals. But regular people like me n u would place morals above that cuz we’re not PR internet managers like this guy

Love your vids but totally disagree here! As far as I'm concerned he comes out great: he's not slithering away from the accusations, he owns that he's fucked up; he doesn't shame his victims; he doesn't overdo the "it was hard for me" card; and he still manages to add that he always respected "No" as an answer. I like him wayyy more for that!
I'm not sure how polished you suggest he should've made it look, but I always HATE that shit when they're all suited up, clean looking and rrrready to lie.
You talk a lot about his "image" but whenever you said this I thought "Damn, the man must have a conscience though. When you know you did wrong, it's not about your image anymore. You want to own the wrong and set yourself up to do better."
So for my opinion of him, he's doing really well here and he's setting a great example of what an apology video should look like.

I thought his 'apology' was not an apology. He acted like a coward by playing the mental health crisis card and blaming alcohol, then tries to shift blame onto toxic masculinity. He paid lip service to victims, but didn't directly apologise to any of them. Then proceeds to talk about how he's never done anything non-consensual (which contradicts victim testimony). Then he starts talking about "persistence is a form of flattery" (seriously who the fuck actually thinks that? I learned that was bad when I was in my early teenage years. This guy is a grown-ass adult). He's contradicting himself, he's shifting blame around to anyone but himself.
