Truly remembering certain sins haunts me daily. I wish I could forget… until I realize that the remembrance of these sins keeps me from committing them again. Thank you Jesus for forgiveness!!

Amen. Memories do come up along with shame and deep deep regret. When this happens I break out with praise and worship. I am knocked to the ground on my knees. I am guilty of breaking every commandment multiple times. I am now moved back to the neighborhood where everyone knows my past. At first I was crushed to the ground however reciting Eph 1: 2-7 saved me from being swallowed up. I am now living as a witness to the accusers I live around but it is not me who now holds my head up but He that dwells within me. Praise to the Most High Master of my life Yahshua.

Such a Truth! As I grow older, I realize more and more why God hates sin. Even so, those memories do creep in at times and they are debilating. I am thankful and grateful to God for His Holy Word, for it is a comfort to my soul when I am feeling so awful about myself.

It’s true that the memory of our sins do help us not to go back into them.
This is such a great topic, because he touches on the purpose of memory perhaps from God‘s perspective that it reminds us to stay broken because God only intervenes when we’re broken so we’re perpetual state of broken this means the Lord can constantly be reworking inch reshaping and continuing in the act, the ongoing act of sanctification in our lives.

I remember my constant anger because of childhood abuse. I used to call it the anger that never goes away. Now I remember it most days because of the very sharp contrast to how I am today. My root of bitterness was all consuming and strangling any chance of joy out of my life. Now the root has been uprooted and gone, and every time I remember those things, I feel the love and gratitude toward my saviour. Have you ever had a pain that you’ve had for so long, you couldn’t imagine it ever getting better? But when it IS gone, it feels so good, that you can hardly believe it, but it’s truly gone? Well that’s where I’m at and have been for a while. Praise The Lord, my saviour!
I regret so many of my sins. My parents did not know how I suffered and it was because of sexual abuse from a relative. It led me down a dark alley but outwardly I was able to keep it together. God was so patient. He continually put people in my life that that guided me towards his word, understanding that I could repent and be forgiven. I am now whole. But that's not the end of my story. I believe that through this, I am now being utilized by God to pray for a particular person who is very close to me and is also suffering sexual sin. I am the person in this situation who God sent. Together we are experiencing two different things. I am learning trust and believing for things not yet seen and the other person will at some point experience Gods deliverance from his present situation. Please join in prayers with me that this loved one is delivered immediately so that he will experience the freedom and forgiveness only God can offer.

Sometimes is necessary to remember of what God delivered us. Some people get too proud when they forget that and act like if they were Jesus (with no sin at all).
I can forget my sins though I wish I could I wish I could forget all the worldly things I know and things I loved in the past so Satan could never use them against me but I can't forget

wow, this was so needed... I was struggling with the awful guilt of my sins. Thought it was because I wasn't forgiven, maybe i didn't repent properly... all thoughts I've had. Thanks for this video! Really made me realise and see it for what's going on. Obviously i knew and even recognised that if we forgot our sins we'd do them again... and yet the guild was nagging me. Now i have peace. Because I remember them doesn't mean they're still on my account.

Cheryl Zastrow. Ray Comfort, great evangelist, is right when he said we must preach the need, the brokenness before the saving gospel message and all the "happiness" it brings. Just like Voddie is saying. God's mercy is new every day. Mercy is not getting what we deserve. Grace is getting what we don't deserve. Grace plus something is nothing. Although we should se a change if we are following the Lord because of what He has done for us and the eternal hope we have in Him alone.
We realize who we have transgressed against and plead for mercy because we know we need more than what we are. Christ and him crucified. Help us to see the cross and see you

Not long ago I saw the video from this popular guy named Robert breaker, he said he believes that when we go to heaven we will have no memory of anything we ever did here on Earth. The reason he brought that up is because if we had a relative that we loved and cared for, and looked down and saw that they were in hell, we would have sad tears and be so upset that we couldn't stay happy in heaven knowing that our loved ones were in hell. And sons of God says he'll wipe away every tear, God just erases the memory and we have no idea that we even had any loved ones that are in hell or even that hell exists.
But from Reading scripture, I'm actually convinced we will see them burn in hell and we will rejoice in God's judgment. Because those in hell will deliberately hate Jesus Christ, and I believe if we saw how evil and wicked our loved ones are it will be in hell, we won't actually have pity or sympathy for them after seeing how they feel and what they want to do about Christ.
Also I don't get the aspect of forgetting everything that was bad and staying in heaven having no memory of that, if God is going to be glorified to the things that happened here in our lives, how is he glorified and worshipped for it anymore if we forget all about it?
If we were to forget our sin, we might as well forget that Jesus Christ even died on the cross and took the punishment that our debt to be paid back to God for our sin against him. The whole point a Christ on the cross, it's because of our sin that needs to be dealt with in order for us to be made right with God and have a relationship with him for all eternity. For us even to leave this life into go to God and forget our sin we must even forget what Christ died on the cross then.
Would you want to forget the most glorious than Christ ever did for us?
Let us remember that Satan is called the. Accuser in the Bible and Jesus came to set the captives free.The past is no longer in the present.
I can give that testimony, I had sex before marriage and I can’t seem to forget, plus many other sins that are always before me 😢😢😢😢😢
In a nutshell, We remember our sins because the memory of them is in our brain. Simple.

Romans 7 states that when I myself would do good, evil is present with me. For I myself delight in the Law of God after the inward man. But I see another law in my capacities, making war against the law of my mind and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin in my members.
God has remitted our sins and they will not be mentioned nor used against us. We died with Christ and we are to reckon ourselves to be dead to sin and alive unto God.
He gave us the victory but did not eliminate indwelling sin. Our spirit is born again but not the body. We can’t be rid of that law of sin until this body dies.
So he says in 7:25, With the mind I myself serve the Law of God but with the flesh the law of sin .
So in 8:1 it follows. There is therefore now No condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.
We are not condemned for having indwelling sin, period.
It is impossible to rid ourselves of it in till death.

First of David did not have the in dwelling of Holy Spirit, how does this message measure up to renewing the mind as a New Testament believers. Christ is the goal not past sins this totally contradicts, the purpose of transformation that’s why we rely on the Comforter.
It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all.
1 Timothy 1:15 NASB1995
Paul never forgot that he was a great sinner, who was saved by the grace of God. Having the memory of Sin, doesn't mean that you are being dragged down back into it, but acknowledging how unworthy and how undeserving we are to receive this grace.

2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Yes we remember but that’s not the aim of the New Testament believers, there’s no reason we should be ponder on old memories unless it’s for the glory of GOD. Paul also said I forget those things which are behind me!!!
Keep things into CONTEXT he brought up his past for a specific purpose, but Voddie is talking about it as if we are helpless in attempts to forget our past. No scripture supports this at all!!!!
Sin is Evil and the spirits of the Devil is Evil.it is the Devil that Makes You to Remember your Sin.the LORD GODFATHER in Christ is the ONE WHO Shall Put Things Right in your life in Christ.Just Let Your Daily Thinking be more interested about the Positive Good Spirits in Christ of the LORD GODFATHER in Christ and you shall Think Good Most of the Time Everyday.
The man is magnifying sin and the power it can have over us. Yet Paul said For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the law of sin and death. Rom8:2. Paul also said, "FORGETTING those things which are behind, and reaching forth to what lies ahead." So Paul tells us we CAN forget! Not like this modern day Pharisee who draws the crowds.
What I remember FAR MORE than my sins are the UNPLEASANT ATTITUDES of others! That includes YOUR attitude > 🤪 < All your SHOUTING!
I really wonder what YOU are like in person? Whether you are focused on actually being GOOD COMPANY or on testing hearts by using some Leadership procedure you've been taught rather than just being IN THE SPIRIT > 😇
Would you present yourself to me AS BEING ALONE with your BIBLE in hand or AS BEING WITH JESUS MAKING ME AWARE OF HIS PRESENCE?
Would YOUR FACE be veiled or UNVEILED > 😷😃

The problem is he is condemning millions to hopelessness.

Does he not believe that Jesus came to and proclaimed

He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor,
The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons.
He seems more interested in sorrow for HIS sin, repentance and salvation,
dare I say false humility?
(Don't try to impose it on others, it is an exaggeration of scripture)
Than that God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son,
that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
He not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but in order that the world might be saved through Him.
Whoever believes in Him is not condemned,
but whoever does not believe is condemned already,
because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
You seem to be missing the point.
You destroyed the power of this message by adding dramatic background music. It turns a message into a performance.
Sorry...I like Voddie, but this just aint true and its not Gospel.
