I worked on the t5 build for 6 years, I loved watching the aircraft coming in and out, they used to land right over my caravan , it used to shake the damn thing

We just had some mad weather here in Hampshire , huge winds and hailstones out of nowhere, if it’s heading to Heathrow things could get spicy !!🌶️
At the 30:00 mark, that was wingtip vortices. Hitting one of those in an airplane is guaranteed 4 letter words!
Really hard to hear you in this crazy weather today. We even had some brief but intense hail! But absolutely loved the show today and I’ve got tremendous admiration for these pilots who just deal with this weather all the time. ✈️

Last week an a380 couldn’t land at Glasgow so it flew to Gatwick instead 🤦♂️ don’t understand why they didn’t go to Manchester
Manchester has restrictions on accepting diversions of large aircraft due to taxiway works

Is this normal London weather? Seems like there's a lot of wind. Kind of like living in Livingston Montana.
We get odd windy days like this then it'll go calm it's crazy hailstones too then sun then rain and mega gusts of wind!
Not everyday weather, but increasingly common with climate change. To me this was more autumn weather today. I was on the coast south of Gatwick on Saturday, it was 22C (71F) calm and sunny, this morning 12.5C (55f) and windy as hell.
