Wow I love you very nice tutoreal from the pilipinas...
Thank you for the gratis examples! But how do you start when the key is in minor?
Good question, the easiest way is to find the relative major. So Am would be C, F would be Dm, then you can just use the same method. The roman number also won’t work but the chords will transpose the same
Hi thanks for understanding make easy. I have a one question! In key of C# there is mentioned E#m is that mistake? As I know there is no sharp with key of E and B
Great question, it is the same as the F minor you know but they do that when the song has an F and an F# in the key because otherwise they couldn’t write the sheet music, so that’s what that means
Can u give this chart for ukulele?
Or will the chart be same for ukulele too?
Exact same for the ukulele, in fact this chart is the same for any instrument because it is about the music not instrument. That is why it is so cool learning the theory behind music, it makes learning your second, third, forth instrument exponentially easier.
Is it possible to transpose without having to look at the chart? do you have to remember this chart while you playing?
When you do it enough you will start to be able to transpose any song into common keys quickly through repition. It is good to know what the I IV V and vi chords are in C, D, E, F, G and A from there you will know enough to transpose to basically any key.
I don't quite understand. What if I have this chord sequence: Am Em F C G
How do I find out what key that is in? I want to transpose it one whole note lower.
Use the chart at 3:52
Step 1: pause it there and look for the row that has all of the chords in it.
Step 2: Identify the key at the far right.
Step 3: Move it down a whole step (whole step is two notes, half step is one note, if it is in G a whole step lower is F, G-F#-F)
Step 4: Find each new chord in the corresponding column. If F is in the IV column, find the new corresponding chord in the IV column. Do that for all the chords.
Step 5: Put the new chords in order and apply the same exact rhythm.
Step 6: Rock it out and be amazing at the next campfire.
Step 7: Tell your friends "It was 99% me and what 1 percent Tenthumbs, check him out if you want"
