Imagine these guys are master ranked......No way in hell they should be making those plays at that rank. I swear I need a freaking therapy every time I play a ranked match.
Also I do not know why Cinderace and Greninja players are notoriously bad. If they are good usually they are on the opponents side TT. Imagine of of your team member only did 9k dmg.... So sad..

The dodrio with under 10k damage and a cinder that watches the eleki walk towards the pad from the pad it's walking towards, then just leaves to let it go in. Truly cursed game

That‘s exactly the problem. People who play cinder good can‘t sometimes because no single mate puts any trust in them.
Usually the same case with me and Dodrio.
But in return I have like 96k damage taken and only have like 35k damage and thats because I like to annoy the enemy team and target the attackers.
trev with the worst teammates ever, my every day life
Trev is a great pokemon. Good early secure, amazing crowd control and healing. His lane phase is great with the lvl5 evolution. He falls off late game IF you don't play it well. He can easily do nothing at a rayquaza fight in the wrong hands, which explains it (essentially no tank for the biggest team fight).
You're in a solo queue and you're a defender, they take defenders for granted. It's like they think it's only your job. You have to play with more responsibility because of these players. You can't expect anything from them.
When Im defender i play like a vacuum cleaner-- eating all the farms on our side cause non-defenders just want to score-kill-score (then they get dumped lol)

I was snorlax leaning with a decidueye and I couldn’t of created more space for him to attack and he leaves me to join bottom lane. and that’s why I play flail snorlax with block
I literally am close to getting blue ribbon on blastoise, not because I play it by choice, but I have to play it because others just want to play attackers. I have scizor blue badge, I ask them defender needed always, and they just sit with confirming on attackers. Solo queue is so toxic. What's more is, I've to carry them as a lane blastoise like literally so many times.
is nobody going to mention the dodrio with 9k total damage

The win rate is probably attributed to the current meta coupled with the solo q experience. So many pokemon do crazy burst damage, and trevenant is more of a staller, his cc is crazy, and his curse damage is consistent, but not enough to finish off most tanky pokemon (and many like ttar, scizor, and Tsareena who can heal themselves) He stays alive long, and does good damage, but it's not enough if your team isn't there to give finishing blows, or at least add to the damage, you'll just be stuck in a 1v4 scenario (has happened to me many times) with no one else around, and eventually get wittled down.

As a former trev main, i think trev has fallen off because the current meta favors squishies more (or at least i feel like squishies are picked more often than previously), like gardevoir who can easily out-kite the slow as hell horn leech and just burst him down. Trev is at his strongest when the fights are slow and sustained, not the quick and bursty fights we see a lot now in the current meta.
That's why I stopped playing trev cuz at this point it is getting hard bullied by ranged attackers and with the addition of rapid it got more worse. Gardi being picked more it is very hard for trev to engage
And forgot to mention about ttar, ttars just rip trev in seconds
Dodrio the real defender, took 5 times as much damage as he dealt
Watched this game live feels bad when you jungler does less than 10k damge
as a trev main in the last few season, he definitely feels worse but i just don't know what it is, maybe bc no objective secure? but like mamo doesn't have it as well but the win rate for mamo is way better:/ i just want to know what happened to my tree:(
Curse and Icicle Crash are good secures.
Here’s some things I noticed as a Tree main since release who’s since sidelined the character:
1. One of the things Trevenant always had going for it after the buff was that basically any melee Pokemon couldn’t reliably take it in a straight duel. Now you’ve got pre-patch Mr Mime, Scizor and Tyranitar (as examples) who can very reliably outduel you whilst you hit them like a wet noodle.
2. The meta currently favours quite a lot of high mobility + high CC, which given that Trevenant’s abilities are the main source of healing, means that getting chain CC’d is basically GG for Trevenant, and there are a lot more mons who can pelt you with shit before you can catch them very effectively (like the ADCs, Delphox and Gardevoir)
3. Sableye. Sableye hard counters Trevenant because Confuse Ray turns it from “I’m not dying but you are” to “I don’t know how to live anymore”.
4. Stealth nerfs from other things, such as the new items, Regieleki not being able to be pushed until it’s dead whilst dealing more damage, the Unite move changes (Trev basically has 0 Unite buffs compared to other defenders) and the return of the Curse bug.
-Although it's not a real solution, you can escape cc by using horn leech. Sometimes you can even trick a predictable sableye into confusing you while you're unstoppable
-Regieleki is only unstoppable while performing the first attack, after that it can be pushed
-I've found that wood hammer is better than curse against ranged pokemon, specially adcs. When the enemy team has strong attackers you'd be better with wood hammer

@@StManco The problem comes with chain CC more than anything. Horn Leech will usually only be up for a short set and it’s less about the during and more about the after. I’m also aware of the Regieleki push thing as well, however this comes with a bit of a disadvantage as if you’re using Curse/Leech, you put yourself badly out of position on the first hit. Finally, I actually think that Wood Hammer right now is the better build purely because the buffs now actually let you true combo Hammer 1 -> Horn Leech and the CC support is more valuable, but that said, Hammer is still flat worse than every other CC defender like Blast, Lax and Mamo.
@@AnonYmous-hj1tb Trevenant can die from it’s own Curse. It was fixed in the version after his release but then it came back during the Theia release patch (where I also feel like it got stealth nerfed, but I have nothing to prove that)
I don't why trev has a low win rate its so good

No Rayquaza secure compared to say, Mamoswine or even Slowbro. he’s amazing in team fights but sometimes you just need the tank to get that last smack on Rayquaza. Mamo has Icicle + his ultimate, and Slowbrow’s Scale is surprising high burst.
@@nbkw48 that's true, but trev does have unite AND curse is a pretty decent last hitting tool, so maybe not, I might be wrong tho
@@nbkw48 I agree, but do all 5 team members HAVE to be able to last hit well or why does it have to rely on a defender to be able to secure ray is rather annoying.
I think it's more because people doesn't know when to release the curse reset so they get double horn leach but get very weak for a long period of team
I know exactly why he's got the lowest win rate: Rapid-fire scarf ADC's. Every game I'm in in 1500 Masters has AT LEAST 2 ADCs on each team, Duraludon, Cinderace, Greninja, now Dreepyboi too. That's by far the hardest counter to Trev.
Nobody sits in your face and brawls right now, which is what Trev wants. It's all assassins and ADCs and CC up the wazoo.
I honestly don't see why the Trevenant fall off happened. I play him regularly and get similar results as you do as a player. I usually carry my teams with score shield and get 200+ most games, and I play with 10+ KOs and we win by huge deficits. If more people just learned how to play him with max sustain he wouldn't be slept on so hard lol. I truly think when played at his peak Trev has the best CC in the game (playing with good teammates always helps, but it is 100% possible to constantly team carry with Trevenant lol) Good stuff as always Cris! Would love to play a game with you sometime.

Trevenant carried me on season 6 and 7 with that terrible Mime, glaceon, mew meta. he was the undisputed goat. but the amount of CC kinda fucks me up. I would stall battles easily with him before and even win but not anymore.
Also all the defenders now play Mamo, snorlax or blastoise/slowbro they have much more value than trev these days.
Good Game Chris, I was the Blastoise in the opposite team, I was thinking OMG what a annoying Trev, I didn't realize I was playing against you, at the end I understood why that Trev was so good and annoying xD.
The meta just isn't for trev imo. While it's still very good, i think it was better in the all-rounder/sustain meta previous to like Worlds Championships. Now everything is ranged and has high burst with the exception being the crowd control mons like Mamoswine or Sableye, which have their usage due to their insane cc. It's true that Trev has good cc too but unlike his defender brother his bulk is slightly lower because of his high sustain, while mamo has better natural bulk paired with omnipresent cc all over his kit. Still comparing it with Mamo, unlike him Trev sadly can't abuse one of the best items rn in Rapid Fire Scarf, which on Mamo is amazing because he has cc on his boosted autos. Overall while Trev is still good it's probably just outclassed in it's role but it's still kinda weird that his win rate is so low as I believe there are much worse pokemons out there
It's painfull to watch dodrio spawn 10 secs before rayquaza and run top to score 14 points...
The Curse really is a Double Edge Sword move. U lost HP for AOE unlike Venusaur Petal Dance. Most NOOB choose Attacker which are mostly Ranged Mons so they have an advantage in combat as long as they can dodge Trev Horn Leech & are not in Curse Area.
I've always seen Trevenant as the pokemon that never left the meta but is highly forgotten by many players, which is why I find Trevenant to be underrated. I'm not really sure how Trevenant got the lowest winrate now. I've barely lost games with it tbh, and the ones that I did lost was due to mistakes made by my team. Maybe its because whenever I see other players using Trevenant, they use Wood Hammer.
trevenant has a 53.13% win rate with eject on the curse/horn leech moveset

After getting Gold medal on Tree, I can safely say the reasons why Trees WR is so bad.
Horrible lane partners/junglers, the lane cinders, the junglers who rush 3 people and die it's all painful to watch. (Your ally Dodrio did a whopping 9k while the Tar did 50k)
Trevs weaknesses hurt a ton, ranged attackers end Tree and supposedly Curse gives enemies in it's ring slowness, yeah didn't know that either. Trees in desperate need of buffs that actually affect it, (Wood Hammer was cool the 2-3 days people used it then never used it again) Give curse a slowness decreased of 40-50% make HL heal during the push and not before and after, cause the amount of times I get koed during the push is so horrible
I tried to be jungler who does rotations and leave enough farm and guess what-- people dont know how to farm, they just push only to get dumped.
Lane cinder isnt bad--its the players that think they can just rush everything with him are the ones who are bad.
Like i said prior-- you go to jungle and leave lane for a glance and alot of player will suicide themselves to loss game.

I can’t believe trevenant is the worst win rate Pokémon I still believe he is a incredible tank for soloQ and I also can’t believe even you had triple 100k you still lost this game can be horrendous most of the time😭
this game has so many frustrating factors. I’ve been consistently playing good with mew but these 3 factors always screw it all up: Bad teammates,Rayquaza being broken and a horrible connection to servers (i might be the first person to complain about this)

this season my friend went on holiday and took a break so we cant trio q so i duo q with my other team mate and its been so rough and it makes me understand how much more pain u and the other talented solo q players out there go through
You should of United venu and clefable at 320. You would of had it back for 2:00. Also to maximize healing you should triple leach. Leach, then curse, basics until leach is off cd, leach, pop curse leach. When done right you can get 3 leaches off in under 5 seconds

It's quite likely that the people that used to play Trev moved on for a reason or another. I know a friend who randomly stopped playing Trevenant and he was really good at it.
4:12: Someone (usually multiple people) almost always try to score top after defending against Eleki. Why do people not see that trend and go top after enemy team finishes Eleki? That is so crazy to me. You can sometimes even see them start heading that way before you lose vision.
I play Trevenant with Rapid Fire Scarf and it's really good. Remember basic attacks fill your Curse gauge and they heal you *a lot*.
Trevenant is by far not the worst pokemon, I still average 70k/100k/100k ratio whenever I play it. But no matter how well you play dogshit teammates will still make you lose the match
that team was just completely out of order. Trevenant shoudn't really be doing 100k damage, your team ought to be fighting with you and dealing the damage as you push them around, and should also be taking the farm you end up getting. Trev is not a carry and having to play it like one can work, but is not ideal.
you know once i got to masters between 1400-1600 i was struggling to win games(deci unite ray or fighting rotom during ray or simply just not being there or afks.... teammates making it rough for me) but once i switch to blastoise i be on 10 game winning streaks
Trevenant is the most powerful opponent at my rank though. Your game was painful and somehow "close" I don't understand why this champ has so little win rate with everything you did here. It wasn't your fault! I like how the people in your chat were saying "trev main don't play trev anymore" and that Blastoise on the ennemy team was always here to annoy you. xD
Games like this are why I hate to go defender / supporter even when I know that's what the team comp needs. I simply can not rely on you Attacker and All-Rounder mains to do your jobs.

So I'm i the only player in the world that thinks pain split is the go-to choice well it has Movement speed Damage Healing and Reflecting damage plus True damage
How are we 18 months in from the games release and people still can't recognise they should defend top goal after a failed objective push? Sheesh.
I feel like trev was way better in that slow all rounder meta. Now everybody is ranged or just too fast for the good old tree even tho the tree itself is amazing. (Depends on the match up of course but that‘s just my experience)
Trevenant and Talon aren't the problem. Their win rates arent bad cause they arent bad pokemon. People just always make bad plays with them.

Imo the problem with trevenant is that lately the meta damage ramped up a lot, and he went from unkillable to barely harder to kill than any all-rounder since he gets kited by everyone and their mom. Pretty absurd that Ttar and the accursed mosquito man feel harder to kill than the tank specifically designed for hp regen.
Tanks in this game are basically useless unless they don't play like tanks, see greedent
I am really perplexed how Trevenant is rated so low and has such a low win rate. Everytime I play against it I just can never kill it and get horn leeched into oblivion.
You didn't triple leach once in the whole video. I've had many matches where I'll heal for more than damage taken. Curse actually hurts you quite a bit so you don't want to run around with it on as much as you did.
He's lowest win rate because the people who play them either don't know what they're doing or they just avoid playing him altogether because he isn't the meta or isn't as cool.
I feel pain for you and all out there who get teammates like this dodrio in your game. He literally helped in almost no fight, he could have easily killed that duraladon and you could win.
300k doesnt matter if your team throws the whole game just cant play all 5 team members

To be with that dodrio was a curse, he was just carried by othe players to be in Master Rank.

I love Trevenant. This video sums up my experience a lot of the time, honestly.
One of my problems with win rate is that so many teammates don't know how to play with a defender. You have to let the defender lead, then follow up on their movements. Only your Cinderace even tried to hover around you for protection, but then wasn't even any good at actual fighting or objective focus.
The other issue that was highlighted here was the fact that Trevenant cannot cross the Rayquaza wall. Even if you had seen the Duraludon sooner, you can't get there. Ideally your Dodrio would be the one running up there and taking care of Duraludon, but of course yours had no interest in actual fighting. When that happens, there isn't anything more you can do.
The thing is even though cris gets teams like this most of the time he still has a high winrate because he carries those same trash teams most of the time

What the hell is cinderace doing!
I was in ranked 1400-1600 and it was hell trying to be support or defender. Like i was stuck in 1550-1600 for the longest time in solo que.
But i got fed up and ended up playing Scyther again, and just swept through it. It was still atrocious don't get me wrong. But you can't carry support and defending people who clearing don't have the skill to carry.
Another thing that gets over looked is Delphox's high pick rate. She hard counters him because of her good poke and mobility. And her Unite move reduces healing by 50% which greatly contributes to Tree's tankieness so she can burst him down quckly whenever its available. Without Pick/Ban in rank mode she's gonna be in like 90% of everyone's games which sucks if your a tree main.
Would like to play Trevenant, but don't own the license yet. Gotta make sure I got enough coins for any new release I want. Like Dragapult. Currently almost at 61,000 coins.

Pulled a triple crown with rapid fire scarf muscle band and focus band along with attack speed emblems 😅 its nice due to the fact you don't need to stack and you can actually do damage all you need to focus on is leveling up

It has no secure so if you don't have help at Ray, the previous 8 minutes didn't matter.

6 it has been rough all season, but these last few weeks have been better

@@frankzatank7382 mine’s the opposite, I had one of the cleanest season starts, reaching masters in just 35 games. Masters 1200-1400 was not as good, only because my opponents got more competitive. But the last few weeks after 1600s? Nah i dropped down to 1500 lol
@@lsnorlax9653 were you getting a bunch of bot matches at the start of the season? I did and got Masters for free, but I didn't count that into my score

Why not try Weakness Policy instead of Focus Band? It give both Attack & HP.

focus is just a great item on any high hp pokemon but if you really want weakness you can play it or just try weight weakness and focus instead of cookie

I really don’t get why Trev has such a low winrate, even in solo queue it’s one of the more impactful defenders like Slowbro or Mamoswine.
Yes I also don't fully understand maybe people don't know how to play him or maybe that of its range and slow horn leach

Yeah you were distracted defending ray and didn't notice the other enemy pokemon are chipping away it's health xD it happens what about putting on drain crown on the dead tree would it work to be more tanky? with focus ban and cookie and energy amp?
Drain crown is bas idea his basic attacks damage are quite low and drain only apply to basic attacks buddy or energy is better option
I need my tree evolving at 4 so bad
