Hi there! I apologize for taking so much time off, if you follow my other socials I had numerous issues last year. Besides burn out, this video was filmed last year and was supposed to be my last video of 2023 but I had issues with the sponsor on it at the time. Anyway, if you follow my instagram (@josieliftsthings) travel and filming for this year is well underway and videos here and on my second channel are starting again 😊 Good to be back!

LET’S EXPLORE SOUTH KOREA!! 😊😊
It’s totally fine, don’t worry
Welcome back!!!
So happy you are back, your one of our favorite channel ❤
Why are you speaking in English? You are in Korea. Don't you try to speak in Korean?
@@heavenhaven7254 What a seriously idiotic thing to say.
I used to tell my friends in college, Winter in Korea is like winter in Buffalo NY and Summer is like those in Houston TX.
Korea is such a fun and cool country! I would like to see more traveling! 🎉
It really is! Thanks for watching 😊
The Best weather season to Visit Korea is
“””Mid April through early May “””
Or mid September to early October
4월 5월보다는 9월 10월을 추천합니다
4월 5월에는 중국 사막에서 일어나는 황사 및 미세먼지가 많이 몰려와서 하늘이 심각합니다~
well thats good to know. I'm there from 13th april to 18th may :D Jackpot
Fuxking shit China dust
I agree 100% with your opinion even though I am Korean.
Actually isn't all of October OK?
For maps you need to use either Naver or KakaoMaps in Korea. They are both (somewhat) in English.
Thanks for the tips!
Foreign apps don’t work in Korea
Korean government required Google Map to install map server physically in Korea so that data will stay within Korea, if they want map data from Korean government.
Google refused.
I'm korean.
I haven't heard of that.
Are you 100% sure ?
한국과 북한은 전쟁이 끝난 것이 아니기 때문에 해외기업의 지도 사용에 문제가 있어요.
2:27 -1 in winter season is pretty warmy for Korean people.
Yeah I have played baseball on a snowy -21 degrees day. True story.
하하 -25도는 기본이에욯ㅎㅎ
-5 would be the lowest temp it would get to in northern ireland. I keep forgetting they are from Australia though, so God bless them, this would be very foreign to them.
-1도는 사실 안춥죠 ㅋㅋㅋ 😅
When it's time around soo-neung in Korea, you know it's real winter finally came🥶 you'll get to know your thigh feeling hurt in outside cause of the freezing weather. But in recent years like 1 to 2 years, things doesn't seem like that I guess its global warming is real kicking in
Hi from Sydney! Love your videos❤. I am off to Korea soon and this is so helpful!
I'm so glad! You’ll have the best time!
how was it? Im going to japan for 10 days then korea for 3 days, is it enough for korea?
I enjoyed your vid. It was helpful to see you show some things you need to know/use while traveling/Sightseeing in Seoul. It seemed like people there were nice and helpful despite maybe a bit of a language barrier
The lakes only freeze at the top so most fish simply school in the deepest parts and take a "winter rest." In this resting state, fishes' hearts slow down, their needs for food and oxygen decrease, and they move about very little.
한국 여행이 좋은 추억이 되었기를 바라요❤ 다음에 또 놀러오세요!
Wow, what an eye-opening experience! Your first day in Seoul seems full of surprises. Can't wait to see more of your adventures in South Korea! 🇰🇷
Thank you! My sister and I are going to tour S. Korea in October so this was helpful.

I’ve been wanting to head to Seoul for the longest time! I met heaps of people in Japan that said they were heading there after Tokyo which I found interesting. Really can’t wait to visit! ❤
this video was so much fun to watch im korean in australia!!!
I just got back from Korea last week, Love it! BTW 8,000w is $5.85 USD for American viewers which is pricey in Korea. Meyongdong is a tourist area.
Great video Josie! We loved our time in South Korea it was so fun! We have our DMZ video coming out next. Did you visit?
hi Josie I remember this when I saw you guys and told you about the Netflix lady thanks for the shout out hope to see you again =)
Just wondering, is this the only video in your Korea series? Would love to see more!
I love your confidence in travelling. I always feel like I suffer with imposter syndrome quite badly when I travel but watching you makes me feel more comfortable and confident with it
Glad your back. Your hair looks really good when it’s down.
Yayyy so good to see your videos are back!!
Glad you like them! I’m baaaaack! Let’s go 2024! 😂🙏😁
winter in korea is very cold. you can experience all different cusine in department store. this place is warm and cozy.
Which department stores have the best variety of food areas?
@vesper180 Hyundai or lotte Department is recommended
@vesper180 Hyundai or lotte Department is recommended, but I also enjoy Emart very large supermarket.
Korea's winter colder than Moscow Russia. Temperature dropped by -19 with lot of snow
Really useful and mesmerizing dear
I have been following you since I watched your China series. Thank you for providing such a beautiful video.
Woo thank you so much for watching! 😁🙏

Loved it! Great to see and hear about Seoul. And great to hear about it from you! Glad to see you posting again! Definitely looks like a place to visit. But need to remember the woollies. You looked cute with your hair down and rugged up in the beanie and jacket!🥰
Asia is a great continent and you have shown a lot of delicious and lovely things and it's quite interesting to watch. Very Good! Keep it up!
Thank you so much 😊
Welcome back to UA-cam, I miss you guys so much honestly 😂
hope you guys come back again❤
Hope you guys enjoyed staying in Seoul, South Korea. Pay visit when weather become warm enough to hang around without beanie.^^
Thks loved your video
I prefer the classic Korean street toast (cabbage, ham, egg, sauce, pickle, mustard...). I hope you consider adding the prices. I am curious of the prices post covid. I know even street food has gone up quite a bit.
I know you are from Australia (a warm climate) and find it cold, but you do not want to visit Korea in summertime. It is crazy hot and humid.
Josie, it seems like you would’ve enjoyed your time in Korea a little more if it wasn’t so cold. Maybe you should try visiting again during a warmer month! :)
U got brains girl! 😂 Cuz U genuine and intelligent!
Hello Josie & Michael👋👋👋 This was amazing, I enjoyed seeing the markets and historic Seoul, very cool stuff👍👍👍 To answer your question, fish go into a form of hibernation, they burrow down into soft sediments and rest bc their heart, metabolism etc slows down like a bears does during hibernation. TYFS, take good care and see you soon🤞♥️🙏💫✨👼🏻✨💫🙏♥️
I used to live Seoul to 7 years (1996-2002) with one year prior in another city. Every year on my way to USA I stop for a few days for visiting friends. Seoul is ever changing and Koreans are hardworking and on the other spectrum are hard partying. Lived in the Hongdae area, office was first on Samsungdong then Insa dong and my church and gym are we in myungdong. Neighborhoods change from one year to another. Was in Seoul end of March for 24 hour and will be back next week for a week. It’s crazy how it changed but what I love about Koreans is that since I spoke Korean (out of practice so it takes a day or two to get back into the rhythm. Being an American I see how Asia is far more advanced and I’ve moment you arrive in an American airport you die comparing to the convenience of Incheon, Singapore or Suvarnabhumi Bangkok airports.
Yay my boo Josie ❤is back
I wanna visit Korea one day.
So colorful and many details. Visually pleasing. Polarized, clean, busy, wholesome fun compared to western countries. Best countries for food: Japan & Korea for sure.
Water is called mul in Korean language
How refreshing to see someone down to earth and honest
Exploring different cultures
How refreshing to see someone leave a kind, nice comment! Thank you so much ☺️☺️😁
love ur channel❤
너무 멋진 분들 이세요 , 한국에서 좋은 인상 많이 남기고 가세요 ~
Thank you!
Korea is certainly very unique with food, language and culture!! I'm proud to be a native Korean💙❤️🖤
For maps, use Kakao or Naver maps
Hello. I'm Korean. If you're going to travel to Korea, never go to Gwangjang Market or Myeongdong. They sell trash food at a high price. I'm really sorry if you've already visited.
Where should they go?
what do you recommend for street food… thanks
@@stuartfong8280 There are a lot of street food at the market that locals go to, not tourist destinations.
Mangwon Market maps.app.goo.gl/BC3xXWC5Y5UWXz1Y8
If it's far away, restaurants in department stores with proven hygiene and popularity are good.
Actually they are not trash food, just common street food. Problem is that their prices are double of other locals as many foreign visitors are visiting the market.
@@stuartfong8280hongdea street food is so cheaper than street of seeing video.
안녕 한국에서 좋은 시간 보냇기를 바래요~~~
Aloha - WOW I just stumbled upon your channel & it's "worth" it - YOU've been traveling all over the world "good 4U" - I enjoy ur channel & now I'm going to check U out from when U started Mahalo (TY) Save Journey!
Ah Im so happy to see you guys in S Korea!! I went last November and LOVED it! It was cold when I was there but not nearly as cold as that!!!
서울투어를 하셨군요.
멋진 여행이 되셨었나요?
So interesting to hear other perspectives on Korean culture and local spots! Love it!
Thank you for this vid. UTube served it up and i devoured it. Having arrived in 2 countries mid winter- NY and Japan- I love a snood…and wear on all the ways u demonstrated. Made me laugh when Michael was modelling the diff ways to wear and alas I am guilty of wearing in all these ways. You have no shame when u are cold. Keep the vids coming- new follower from NZ
😂😂😂😂 thank you for the best comment I’ve read all day!! 😂😂
Haha I 100% got so jealous he had a snood. My neck was FREEZING. 😂
Welcome aboard! Glad to have you here! 😁😁🙏☺️
Hei Josie and Michael 🤶🎅🇬🇸🇬🇸I liked your Seoul tour video🎥 Enjoy holidays and All the best👍💯
I was also curious about the report, so I looked it up :) The temperature is a little higher as it goes down to the winter ice, so they gather there and live (written with a translator)
I don't know if anyone else wrote it.
it's good posting, cheer up ❤
How much was the coffee ☕️? And where did u stay?
좋은 여행이 되었길 바래요!!!! 당신에게 항상 행운이 넘치길!!!★
Hi from BRISBANE, Omg I love your channel I'm hoping to go to Korea one day. Im glad I found your channel coz then it feels easier to understand when you explain things only coz being in Australia...
Locals tend to go to 'Kyungdong' market in Jegidong rather than Kwangjang you've mentioned to avoid rip off's. Myeongdong also is touristy place. Hongdae might be better choice for the same stuff in less price. 'Myung' pancake is made of green gram matter.
Where are you from?
The weather looks nice.
To me, better than too hot.
Yay you are back after long time ❤❤🎉
Those big building for work does have their heating system as well, which is flooring heating method, the same as the bedrooms have.
Nice video 😍
I hope you have a great time in Korea! :)
Also there is a guy named Danny Kang he own a wine bar in incheon korea the name of his wine bar is named Zaneuk please tell him Chansita told you.
Koreans use kiwi to make sauce for sandwiches, I love it so much. 😊
your my favourite UA-camr sister. love you
Hello! I enjoyed the video. I have a question. Which online shopping mall do you frequent?
You guys are funny 😂
And you made me miss South Korea 😅
So glad to see travel is back for you! Don’t need to apologise to us at ALL, you have grown so much in just 2 years and I think none of us see how much work that is, so you’re entitled to a rest. But I am glad to see you back 😊😊😊😊
And I’ll sign back up for member soon I changed my bank card 😂
너무 추워보영ㅠㅠ
It always helps to keep warm by zipping up your jacket. It must be cold to bare your chest in minus 5degC. We come from scandinavia, so we know about keeping warm. ;)
Any hotel's to recommend?
Classic Korean food has no chili and doesn’t have much oil. Kimchi was also white. Korean ancestral rite tables for traditional holiday are proof.
정말 아름다운 그림이네요 ❤❤
I wouldn't recommend learning some basics Korean before going to korea though because it might be seen as mean for foreigner to come here and ask things in english and expect koreans to answer back in english or to understand you.
Very nice video my friend 🎉🎉🎉
why didn't you use credit card? It's accepted everywhere in Korea even in mom and pop stores and they give you better rate.
Welcome back to Korea!
Naver Maps is the go-to choice for Koreans, offering convenience for walking, locating shops, and navigating public transportation.
Question: Are American credit cards accepted in Seoul? What’s the best strategy for money exchange?
American credit cards work there and credit cards are near universally used in Korea. I think the best strategy for Korea is to bring maybe $100 from per week home to exchange (so you can avoid ATM fees) and charge the rest since you won't need much cash. If you have a credit card with no foreign transactions fees, that's even better.
I love her Laughing 😃 😅
Good video
19:15 fishes live in the water under the ice don’t worry
Cool vlog btw fyi fish are busy ice fishing 😁
Download Kakao map, Naver map or Daum map. They're like Google map of Korea
Beautiful 😍
활기찬 여행의 모습이 보기 좋습니다.
Thank you!! 🙏☺️
'Naver map' is better than google map in korea.
Love the caricatures!! . . . could be nicer if colored . . . Great vlog!! . . . BTW, fishes don't die when pond freezes. They just stay at the bottom where it's warmer. . . then they hibernate (like in a state of suspended animation). . . so stay warm in S.Korea Josie and Michael!!
감기 안걸렸길 바랍니다😢
Which is the other channel of yours? Pl
