Bro there is nothing that contradicts in the videos. He said that in one book one thing is said. The other video says the same thing but that the opinion was eventually changed. Yasir Qadhi isn’t saying against the Imam, just that contemporary understandings have shifted more in the direction of the prior fatwa.

2:17 he is the first mufti of Saudi Arabia, can anyone explain how this is possible? JazakAllahu khair.
It can mean two things
1. He was the first mufti to live in saudi Arabia, Saudi Arabia came around in 1930s of I'm not mistaken so he was the first in the land of Saudi to be classed as a mufti
2. Maybe ustadh meant the first GRAND mufti, since grand mufti is the main mufti/the highest ranked mufti in the land of Saudi Arabia.
