  • 'Larry Williams And His Band' with "Short Fat Fannie" recorded from the original US 78 rpm shellac single on Specialty 608. "Short Fat Fannie", with B-side "High School Dance", was originally released in the US in May 1957 and peaked at Nr. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 Pop Chart and Nr. 1 on the Billboard R&B Best Sellers in Store Chart. Both sides were recorded on April 26, 1957 at Master Recorders in Hollywood with Larry Williams on lead vocals, Rene Hall on electric lead guitar, Ted Brinson on bass, Leon M. Silby on piano, Jesse James Jones on tenor saxophone and Earl Palmer on drums. Produced by Art Rupe. Words and music by Larry Williams.
