If you are getting a page not found 404 error when trying to see your translated website you have to enable pretty permalinks in Word Press: Log on to WordPress with Administrator user rights. In WordPress, click the Options tab. On the Options page, click the Permalinks subtab. This will take you to the page where you can customize how WordPress generates permalinks for blog posts. On the Permalinks page, select Custom, specify below and enter "/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/" in the Custom structure text box. Click Update Permalink Structure.

Actually, the correct translation from "Message" in this context would be "Nachricht" instead of "Botschaft", besides that you pronounce german pretty great! :D --------- Edit: btw I noticed a "bug" or a "flaw" in TranslatePress. Whenever you change ONE character in the original content, for example the content in a Blog-Post, the translation for that content is "lost" (translatepress cant find it even it lingers around in the database)

The tutorial was great! The plugin seems not very useful to me, because all fields, blocks etc are in an numerical order. Each time when I have to change something on a page, this numerical oder is recreated and all translations after that changed field becomes unusable. Or did I something wrong ?

I translated my home page using translate press. All the titles are easy to translate but the content is not. I have to really change the way I say things because it’s english to Japanese and some things won’t translate. I cannot edit the portions I need to edit. That's a good question. I haven't tested it, but I would think if they log in via the German version of the site and submit the content there, then it would be the German version. I think TranslatePress support would be the best place to ask that question.

I don't know how to change the font (for example) on the translated version of a page, because the translated pages do not appear as pages in my page list. My site is in English. I had the text professionally translated into Arabic. In English I use a particular font and sometimes have text in italics. Italics and Arabic don't work well together and only a small number of fonts work really well (in terms of readability). So, I want to change the font on the Arabic pages only but can't see how to do that. I will owe you big time if you can solve that for me! Best wishes, Gerard
I was having the same issue with that on a website I was working on. The only solution I came up with is using a font that is compatible with both Latin and Arabic. If your website has Google Fonts try *Cairo*, or upload it as a Custom Font! *Dubai* is a great font too.

No, you don't have to change images. It's just an option if you for example have an image containing text in a certain language. Otherwise, it makes no sense to change them :)

The Automatic language detection is available with a Business or Developer license. However, you can set the first language to appear by going to the Settings > TranslatePress, and set Use subdirectory for default language option to Yes. Then, using drag and drop, drag the language you want to be the default one to the top.

The free version lets you add one more translation language. In pro you can add an unlimited number.
