I would also lik to Give Credit to the Accompanists Tabal - Pt.Vibhav Nageshkarjee, Tanpura My Gurubandhu Rajan Mashelkar, Tanpura -2 Shri Madan Bongale , Harmonium Myself (Milind Raikar)
Waah....You are right Milind ji....His Malkuns is the Last Word. Tears came out naturally listening to this....Also had goosebumps.....You are really lucky to learn from him...Even stone will melt listening to this Malkauns....
The 2 top violin players of Hindustani classical music during late 40s and 50s were Pts. Gajanan Rao Joshi (a top vocalist also) and V. G. Jog with D. K. Datar, Shreedhar Parshekar, Vidushi Shishirkana Raichaudhury following their footsteps. Later so many others excelled with violin and won the hearts of listeners in India and abroad.
Oh... Just begining of the play fills my heart with eternal pathos ... Reminded me of Neeradaakshi kaamaakshi in a real slow tempo first ! This is the irst time i hearing a hindustani rendition, felt like a walk from dizzle to heavy rain ..... Namaskaaram to the Violinist, and thanks to share this gem
I greatly appreciate you uploading this video, i have always been trying to find his recitals, these are simply filtered goose bumpers for flowing people...
Most beautiful rendition of Raag Malkauns on violin by Panditji DK Datar. It is very melodious and soothing to listen to this great performance true to Gwalior gayaki. Thanks for uploading such 'gem' for our pleasure. Looking for more from him.
I just played it on three different instruments and it sounds very clear in all three. I sent it to a few friends to check out and they said, it sounds clear too. Maybe you could try in on another machine.
