Excuse me. I have a 2008 Uplander. Yesterday suddenly the car just lost movement on D gear. No strange sound, no warning lights. All the other gears seems to work fine. I make may way home on the 1st gear but very slow. What's wrong with the car? Can I still drive it or must tow to mechanic? Thanks.
Transmission has to come out of the vehicle. Then it needs to come apart and be fixed. There is something broken inside. If you remove the transmission pan, you may see apart of it in the pan. It will probably be the drive band that is broken.
@@thisisyourtransmission I wonder if better to replace the whole gearbox. The hour fee charge are insane and with all that work to remove and open transmission...
@@bruceyelohed3365 They found that something with the valve in gearbox was broken. Extremely costly to repair. It will cost more than the whole cars value! Therefore they instead change the whole gearbox with a used one but in good condition and same mile. 2 weeks work and totally cost €2300.
So basically the transmission as a whole is still GOOD?
Yes, if there is no other parts damaged.

I have the same problem, 2009 uplander did you find out what was wrong and how much did it cost?
