This album is incredible. Sad to see people calling it bad just because it's not metal.
Serj always says you can't make music on what others think.
For me it's bad not because it's not metal, it's bad because it's bad (for me)
Lifetime fan here who learned to talk back because of you guys... This isn't metal just because you guys turned the gain up on your guitar tones, Serj is the king of ballads. It's like we got an Armenian influenced Journey album, this is totally some arena influenced Armenian ballad music. Which is chill too, just don't expect to capture the awe of the audience that made you famous. That moment that you remember that SOAD was a band before Serj joined, and Serj was a vocalist before he joined SOAD.
I guess it is quite off topic but do anybody know a good place to watch newly released series online ?

This album is so different than what he usually does, but it's just SO good!
Back in the day, when I first listened to this album, I just HATED it, so I didn't listen it anymore until recently, when i decided to give it a second chance and now I just think it's a masterpiece, great album, great harmonies, this album shows us how Serj is an awesome songwriter and melodies creator. I think I wasn't musically mature enough back in the day, it wasn't the time to listen to this album then.
I remember awhile back, Soad was my favorite band. I went to California to visit family. I was hooked on Elect the dead, naturally I went to this album and I also hated it, simply because it wasn’t metal. There was this kid a few years older than I, he was dating my cousin in cali. We bonded over our mutual fondness of soad and serjs solo work. He asked what I thought about this album. I told him I really didn’t like it, and he was like “ what?! This album is great!” And I was like “I dunno how you can think that”
But fast forward over 10 years, cousin has passed away, I never got to visit them again. I wish I could visit them both together. To tell that man that he was totally right, this album is fantastic. I was just too blind to see it. And to give her one last real goodbye.
Time is very bitter sweet.

This album got me hooked when im on my laptop mindlessly with chips and smoke and the last song 'wing of summer' hits me very hard.
2018 needs this album. We need to harmonize again despite all our glaring differences.
Shavo said they are going to create new album at 2017 :D so i hope, it is going to go out 2018
It's March 2018 now. They still haven't made it yet. I think. Maybe they MADE it, but they didn't upload it, they didn't make it an official album. I hope they will take it out this year.

While I think Elect the Dead and Harakiri are better albums than Imperfect Harmonies, it does have a special, relaxing feel to it that I enjoy very much.
This is exactly like Freddie's Barcelona album with Moserrat Cabaille. Absolute fucking perfection
It's weird because I don't think I recall the faintest this album being released until after Harakiri and it actually predates it by two years.

I used to listen to Steal This Album album long ago and I am glad both Daron and Serj continued to record their songs. No matter for me if it sound equal or different of SOAD cuz I jus want to listen something new.

My grandma had a print of the Shroud of Turin. I would get lost just staring at it. It was what I did at Grandma’s House. She always protected me. She knew what they were doing to me, but she couldn’t stop it because the same was being done to her. I enjoy metal more than this music, but I kept hearing this was a pop album, thats fucking stupid. It kinda sounds like an avant-garde opera or a movie soundtrack, not fucking pop.

I´m a big fan of SOAD but I don´t feel this music at all. It´s really a pity.
@NBASH 12 Yeah, we all feel different fortunately, otherwise the world would be a sad place if we all felt the same. (: I prefer the "harder" side of SOAD like their first album, Toxicity and most of Steal this album. Not a huge fan of Mezmerize/hypnotize, a few songs is ok though. 🤘🏻

i prefer scars, but by no stretch of the imagination could you call this “pop”. it doesn’t have any similarities to it. no abuse auto tune, the songs have meaning and the man plays most of the instruments.

Geez the first 25 seconds were EPIC then whole album went down hill from there. Fuck man it's hard for me to say this but his solo albums suck. Daron literally slaughters this crap with Scars on Broadway
