    Kyle you are so lucky to be close enough to this place to make this video! This was awesome!!!
    I’ve deff heard that creek sound before in mine. I don’t have any wheels hop tho and all my bushings are red and blue I believe. So I think they were all replaced but I didn’t get the grease fittings.
    I’m wondering if I can drill and install zerks while it’s in the car 😬🤷🏼‍♂️

    Just did a full ftbr bushing kit and aluminum front diff bushings on my car and it didn't help at all... I've tried 2 sets of tires. Adjusting my shocks. And dropping my tire pressure. Still very bad wheel hop. My car makes 600 hp and I can't even get on it because it just hops. Now I've spent all this time and money for nothing

    He mentions something about a good amount of NVH if you have coilovers...could you explain what he meant? I’m currently running MM coilovers and I’m very close to
    buying this kit, but his comment may put a halt to to that 😂

    Ill be doing a 2017 swap in my 67 soon. Wouldnt delrin translate to more vibration? Even poly bushings translate into vibration how would delrin being harder than poly, not? What am I missing?

    • @KyleSVT
      @KyleSVT  5 років тому

      To me I don't notice any more nvh the car rides so much smoother. The only possible nvh that I've noticed are with the diff bushings but you have to have the widows rolled up and really listen for them. With your 67 putting a new irs with these bushings would be a dream.

    My FTBR Kit was half way installed when I bought my car. All the control arm bushings are still in the bags. Do those need to be pressed in with a press?

    • @KyleSVT
      @KyleSVT  4 роки тому

      No you need the removal tool to get the oem bushings out. Then you freeze the delrin bushings and they drop right in. Make sure the bores are clean with scotch beight by hand. Also have to drill and tap for the grease fittings

      Excellent video! My 03 Cobra has subframe connectors and the Full Tilt Boogie Racing bushing/irs brace kit and there is no wheel hop at all and excellent traction even with 3.73 rear and 600+ whp. I love the way the car rides and handles(car is on lower springs too).

      @@tomkjr1, how long does it take to install everything or did you have someone else do the work?

    • @KyleSVT
      @KyleSVT  5 років тому +2

      This job is a considerable undertaking. It requires some car wrenching skills and an assistant. An assistant will make the job go much easier. Two heads are always better than one. If you start on a Friday after work, you should have the IRS out of the car in a couple of hours. You can finish the night taking apart the IRS for the bushing install. Saturday you will spend installing the bushings, reassembling the IRS and hopefully getting the IRS assembly back in the car. Speed depends a LOT on the people doing the job and the amount of tools/equipment at your disposal. If you can locate someone that's done the job once or twice before, you might be able to knock the job out in 6-8 hours with two people. If you have a couple of knowledgeable people that are good wrenches, a lift, air tools, a trans jack and a well equipped shop you could knock this job out in four or five hours.

      2003SLVRSNAKE...I love your YT handle bro, since I own a Silver Metallic '03 Cobra! Anyway, yes...I had them installed because I don't have a garage grade hoist to lift my car, and you really do need one! The toughest thing according to my mechanic is removing all the old bushings and then putting in the new ones. I'd say, if you have all the right equipment, you would need between a half day and a full day for the bushing & brace job. Having a helper in the effort is invaluable! Subframe connectors vary according to size and mounting style. I highly recommend that you get the full length ones and weld them in even if the kit says bolt on application. Use the bolts & bracket hardware, but weld them in too! No worries after that. If there was one thing that Ford should have installed factory in these Cobras, it was sub frame connectors! If you plan to track race the car often, you should also have the torque boxes reinforced or replaced. For the street use, just check the boxes occasionally for rust and/or stress cracks. I hope this helps you out!

      @gabe321 You'll likely have to find someone selling a used IRS setup in a marketplace like Facebook, Craigslist, or eBay. Although Ford once considered selling the IRS in their Ford Performance parts catalog, they never actually did.

    Half of you watching this might could fix your wheel hop by inflating your tire psi to max or 4lbs below max. Worked for all my RWD cars solid and independent rear suspension.

    • @KyleSVT
      @KyleSVT  5 років тому

      Tires pressure doesn't fix wheel hop. Just watch the video and you will find out whats happening to the irs under driving conditions

    • @SydeshowMO
      @SydeshowMO 5 років тому +1

      KyleSVT that’s why I said “half of you watching”. Every car is different. I swapped all rear end bushings to delrin on my drift (RX7) car. It induces wheel hop when there was none before. Running more air got rid of it. My WS6 had solid rear. Also had wheel hop depending on what rim/tire I ran. My only RWD car that never had any wheel hop regardless of mods was my e46. All of them.

    • @shipshrekt2156
      @shipshrekt2156 4 роки тому

      SidewayzE46 -MO when you put more air pressure in you’re raising the tire higher off the ground, removing grip. Les grip means there’s a high chance for it to slip meaning you won’t get that wheel hop because it’s not gripping then slipping it’s just slipping.
