My question is, since I got the same car, I'm picking it up off the lot on Monday, if I cut out and delete the exhaust resonator, and remove the intake resonator, how mean can I make it sound?
Well if you take the resonator off and just weld a tube on there that will help for getting some noise. Is the intake resonator the part that goes down into the bumper? What are the benefits of removing that?
I thought the guy at the shop said it was like a "super street muffler" or a street racing muffler" or something like that. I'm sure if you brought you car down to your local shop it would cost you much to get a muffler. I had my resonator removed and that muffler put on and it was only $156! I'm going to get some headers next so ill have a full exhaust system then. Good luck! Sorry i couldn't help much
well. depends on your point of view. this car was originally designed to compete with other economy entry level vehicles. like the honda civic and the ford focus just to name a few. the honda civic back in 2005 only had 115 hp. this car came with 140 and both cars are around the same weight with maybe 100 pound difference. so this car was faster than its competition. just get a turbo kit for it. these cars do pretty well turbo charged. sharkracing.com has a turbo kit for around 4 grand. if thats too much then you can just get the ebay kits for about a grand. they dont last as long but they do the job just fine. just make sure you get an actual aftermarket wastegate because ebay kits are legend for making uncontrolled boost. which will blow your engine up.
I would love to turbo my car but you spend 4k on a good kit then you have to get it tuned and then another few grand later you have a reliable turbo car. Maybe once im older but for now, its going to be fast in the corners and slow on the straights. lol
I remember I've installed something like that you know just the tip and its was hard to find something that will fit that angle
Yea i had the choice between a square tip and this round one and I thought the round one at a bit of an angle looked dope! Thanks for watching!
