Hi Sandy - I haven't tried the wrinkle release spray yet but I'm going to need to. I will be on a cruise in the Med later this year and they don't allow irons or steamers on board. Is there a particular brand you like more than another? 😎😎
I get the Downy wrinkle release because I can find it in travel size at Target or Bed Bath & Beyond. The generic could be put in a travel spray bottle.
@@MiaHessMusic Works okay for cotton and linen, not as good as steaming/ironing. Never tried on silk. The trick is to smooth items with your hands after spraying and let them hang up.
Great video. I’ve been bundling for years. I start with my largest items in the suitcase with the excess hanging out and work down in size before wrapping over.
Thanks for another great video, Lori. 😊 Because of you, I had my very first carry on only trip last week. I packed a capsule and only took two pairs of shoes. It was amazing and freeing. I loved not having to wait for a checked bag and it was so easy to navigate my little suitcase through the airport. I would so appreciate a worksheet!! Hugs from 🌺Mary in Florida. xx
Thank you so much for this video!! I’m a good packer but I always struggle with my wrinkle-prone pieces that I can’t roll. I forgot about bundling! I always use it for nesting big coats when moving
Do you still have a link or info on that iron? The description link no longer works. I’m trying to learn how to travel with linen, so thanks for the video!
The specific iron I have is no longer available. If mine stops working I plan on replacing it with this one amzn.to/3yUZ6iK Have you found a different one you like? If so - let me know!😉
Hi there - I've heard that about dry cleaner bags. I don't go to the dry cleaners very often but next time I do I need to remember to save the bag! Thanks so much for being here 😊😊😊
Of course you just whipped out that mini iron!! 🤣 I'm gonna try this bundling method. Thanks for the all the tips Lori. I'd be interested to see how you pack your husband's clothing. I always pack for my husband when we go away and those button downs are hard to keep neat. Husband packing tutorial? - with their big ol' shoes, shirts, socks..

Hello Lori, I travel carryon only and have an old 20 inch TravelPro that fits in almost every airline's overhead bin. What size is your bag? Good packing video. Thanks
Hi there! 😁 Mine is 22". So far, it has fit in every bin I flown in North America and Asia. I haven't used it in Europe yet but I will this fall. I love this bag so much - I sure hope it works! 😎😎😎
I break the rules and take my little iron. I've taken it on every cruise and not had a problem - but if I were going to follow the rules I would do as much bundle packing as possible and hope for the best.
HI Beth - I just don't use the tissue paper. I prefer to not need "another thing" when I can accomplish the same goal without it. I appreciate you being here with me - thank you! 😀😀😀
If they are linen they are wrapped around something bulky. Otherwise they are in the “hanging” compartment of my suitcase or neatly folded to prevent wrinkling. I hope that helps 😁
If you don't like it, then go find that video style you like. There's literally no reason to go out of your way to be a jerk. This will forever be proof on the internet that you decided to be a jerk. Congrats.
It is absolutely against the rules. However, it has gone unnoticed every single time I've been on a cruise (13 times). I'm not saying anyone should break the rules - I need to do better....
@@The.LifeWithLoritry packing a hair straightener instead - you won't be breaking rules or risking damages, and you'll still be able to smooth wrinkles out of clothes. I use a hair straightener instead of an iron for small sewing projects as well, it's small, simple and effective.
@The.LifeWithLori I've been cruising over 25 years. I'm 66. They are very strict about no irons of any kind. All the bloggers remind people of this fact all the time.
“Just because it’s pleasing to my eye” - I felt this in my soul 😅
I have bundle packed for years. Stuff that doesn’t wrinkle gets folded in a packing cube. I travel with wrinkle release spray instead of an iron.

Drycleaner bags work great to help prevent wrinkles. Learned that from Martha Stewart in 80's. ❤

Thank you!! I like traveling in summer or hot climates with natural fibers, like linen. I'll have to remember these tips.

The link to the travel iron is broken. What brand is it? Thanks! I'm going to Italy and taking lots of linen
Hi Diane, I received a notification this morning that it is out of stock. I’m sorry 😞
I’m going to keep a lookout for it I NEED one!
I am leaving for a MSC cruise in 2 days, they do not allow steamers or irons. So what do you suggest in this case to get wrinkles out of clothes?
I break the rules and take my little iron. I've taken it on every cruise and not had a problem - but if I were going to follow the rules I would do as much bundle packing as possible and hope for the best.
Throw in the dryer with a damp cloth for a few minutes!
For future reference - pack a hair straightener! You just treat it like a small iron clamping and smoothing one section at a time.
Thank You!
Thank you for being here with me 🤗🤗🤗
What about shoes?
Hi Lori thank you for the video and another great tip on wrinkle free travelling thank you.
Hi Maureen - thanks so much for visiting! It's always great to see you 😃😃😃
What’s the name of the iron?
Unfortunately it is no longer available. However, this is the one I am going to replace it with when the time comes amzn.to/3wCtFbx
I feel like packing clothes too loosely can also cause problems because they’ll swish around causing more wrinkles.
Have you had luck with the tissue paper method? Nice video!
HI Beth - I just don't use the tissue paper. I prefer to not need "another thing" when I can accomplish the same goal without it. I appreciate you being here with me - thank you! 😀😀😀

Where are your bottom pieces?
If they are linen they are wrapped around something bulky. Otherwise they are in the “hanging” compartment of my suitcase or neatly folded to prevent wrinkling. I hope that helps 😁
Considering hotels have an iron, this is just unnecessary added weight.

Great video, but you might want to use your hands less. Very distracting.
