Thanks, I was just looking at this today on Amazon lol. I'm looking to pull a separate LFE from the eARC on my TV so I can feed an additional sub and bass transducer for the sofa for my system which has an eARC soundbar now. This way I can turn off both subs for late night listening and just use the transducer or have the option of 2 subs or 2 subs and transducer. Love my bass 😅.
😀 Thanks a lot! Great description!
Glad it was helpful!
Great tutorial
I don't get how the 3.5 audio jack (which my guess) only outputs stereo. What happened to the ROKU player and being able to pull out 5.1 to connect to my older receiver/amp? Thanks

Does this work with a "chromecast with google tv" too?
I believe the chromecast doesn't have a dolby atmos decoder, just pass-through.
So does this device do the decoding instead?

Hi I like to know will this work if you don't have earc on the sound bar just HDMI arc?
I own an LG CX which has earc. However, my soundbar does not. It’s a Nakamichi 9.2.4. Will this product work with my soundbar if I want to get an earc signal? Thanks!

Hi i have a samsung 7.1.4 soundbar with dolby atmos will this work
Do they make an eARC device that has 8 RCAs just like this, I want to use 3 sets of powered studio monitors
In the eARC sound bar option. Will I get video from from the HDMI device connected?
Do i need this if i connect say something like firestick 4k max connected directly to the atmos soundbar HDMI and have TV ARC connect to soundbar eARC/ARC HDMI?
I was skeptical on this since i have just a tv with Arc and an Earc Bose soundbar. But man this thing actually worked quite well. My connection is Arc input from tv to the unit, and Earc from soundbar to unit. Thats it, didnt have to manipulate anything for my local cable tv to work and i added my chromecast to the front input of the module to pick up any dolby atmos content through whichever streaming provider
if your sound bar dolby atmos capable has eARC port and the tv has ARC in , you don’t need this unit anymore, just simply connect your tv and sound bar to both earc/arc port via hdmi2.1 cable for transmission of lossless dolby atmos audio format. then plug your dolby atmos media streaming device or BD player to any HDMI input of the sound bar / AVR. you need to configure your soundbar or avr to output the dolby atmos audio format. ensure also that your subscription of netflix, apple tv+ and amazon prime is premium.

Hi!
Will this unit work if I want to take out the 7.1 audio from the PS5 (hdmi output) and send the audio to a HDMI 1.1 Denon 3808 - reciver/amp (no arc/earc)?
So I can send the video signal thru the extractor to the tv (4k 120hz), and then 7.1 audio to my apm. I was using a 2way 8k splitter, but the reciver did'nt read 7.1 surround, only 2.0.

Newbie question here. If i have an eArc tv and optical speakers. Can i use the hda 935 to force 5.1/7.1 all the time by only connecting from eArc out on the tv and then optical out to the speakers?
Yes, you can extract audio from the TV eARC port to your optical speakers. Please note that the optical port only supports up to 5.1CH.

Hi mate , I need to connect soundbars from my projector what is the option for it .. I wanted to do it wirelesss or any other option ?
As a projector owner I would recommend a soundbar that has two HDMI ports. One HDMI cable that can from your projector to your soundbar HDMI arc port. And you could simply plug your media sources(Firestick, roku, chrome cast, or game consoles) into the other HDMI port. My current setup is Firestick 4k(wired internet) directly to my Benq TK700 4k projector and one 8K HDMI cable running to my Samsung q60t soundbar /w rear speakers. 🥰
With the optical it work but the sound cut ....
Is there a reason why the streaming devices are compressed Dolby atmos ? Is it because they are hdmi 2.0. If so will this work if the streaming device will have hdmi 2.1?
Dolby atmos is metadata, you can have it compressed in Dolby Digital Plus OR uncompressed in Dolby True HD
Because audio and video take alot of bandwith and bitrate, streaming services outpot dolby digital plus only, uncompressed is dolby THD, and also have a much better picture
What if I use an HDMI splitter where I connect a streaming device on the input and I use the other end, which has 2 outputs and one goes to the TV and the other goes to a Soundbar?
That wouldn't work because most soundbars only accept HDMI eARC signal and not standard HDMI inputs.
@@OREI-COM I tested it out. I dont have a 4K tv but I do have a 4K box from my cable provider. Will get a 4K TV later this year.
I also bought a new Samsung Sound bar that has EArc. So Im not able to use that feature yet, only TOSLINK. However, I wanted to see if I could get sound via HDMI from my box, through the soundbar. I was able to get it.
I tested it by disconnecting the HDMI from the TV (so no picture to see) and connected to the soundbar via HDMI1 input and I was able to get sound.
So that tells me I should be able to get sound via HDMI in the HDMI1 port on the soundbar IF I use a splitter?

My tv doesn’t got eARC just ARC. But my sound bar does have eARC. And I use my Apple TV 4K to watch movies and shows and I still get to see the logos there on the movies and shows DOLBY ATMOS. If I use eARC on both tv and sound bar will that improve the sound or it will be the same? Since I already can see the Dolby Atmos and vision logos.
Since you are already getting Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos output, you do not need an Audio Extractor.

@@OREI-COM I have issues with my tvs ARC input. I’m trying to use apply tv. Then from Orei to Sonos Beam and to tv. Can I still use another hdmi input on my TV?
Can this be used to pass a 5.1.2 earc signal from my TV to my soundbar and use the 3.5mm to send a signal to a subwoofer ?
How do we get 5.1 output using this converter at output of Windows laptop hdmi port?
HDMI out from a laptop or desktop this will sent the image to a TV or external monitor and the audio to a sound bar or speakers fitted with HDMI eARC. It will not output 8 channels of line level audio or any other format of of uncompressed 5.1 or 7.1 output. Consider the CYPUK+AU-11SA-4K22 which takes any HDMI passes through 4K and outputs 8 channels to line level (for power amp or active speakers) and 7.1 Toslink if you have an amp with that for home theatre.
Does this device works with Bose Soundbar 600 with dolby atmos?
Yes it will work
Hi, can I use this to switch between a soundbar and a av receiver
It will output audio to the soundbar and AV receiver at the same time
my computer is the source, connect the hdmi port on VGA to HDA-935 into input port 1, connect hdmi tv/eARC hdmi to my TV and projector device without eARC port, bose 900 soundbar connects to the soundbar port eARC on HDA-935.
So can my speaker play Dolby Atmos 7.1 sound??? I bought this device before but it couldn't output sound so I want to ask carefully before ordering ^^
Can I ask what's the difference between HDA-935 and HDA-931?
thank you!!!
Yes, this device would work for your intended setup. The main difference between the 2 models is the number of ports. HDA-935 offers 3 inputs while the 931 offers 1 input only.
Great video. I'm a bit confused, I thought Dolby Atmos takes the 7.1 channel standard and adds 4 height channels, so 11.1 channels.
I have the Samsung hw-q990b Dolby Atmos Soundbar, with surround speakers and it's an 11.1 channel system.
Would this device make use of all of my 11.1 channels or just 7.1 of them?
Cheers.
Hai sir. May I use audio jack for active subwoofer?
The analog output will only have output when the audio from the source is set on PCM 2ch mode.
@orei Hi there. I have a budget projector with a single HDMI and no ARC or eARC. Is it possible to plug multiple HDMI devices (including an Xbox Series S) into a HDMI switcher, then the switcher into an Orei device (not sure which), then output from the Orei device output to a Dolby Atmos soundbar (probably a Polk Signa S4) and output from the same Orei to my projector and get Dolby Atmos?
From what I have read direct from Orei, a switcher will work with this unit. I just bought and installed a Ugreen HDMI switcher from Amazon, $18.99, it works perfectly and has a nice remote, 3 in and one out. My Orei unit should be here today.
@@michaelwright1602 thank you Michael
@@funfunfun18 I will let you know if it works. HDMI is nice, but still just as buggy as the day they released it. No industry standards, it is still a free for all out there with this stuff. We are all beta testers.
Yes, you can use a Switcher with the HDA-931 to connect multiple inputs. Alternatively, you can use the HDA-935 which comes with 3 input ports.
Am i able to somehow utilize this for both apple TV4k and Xbox series X simultaneously? or do so have to switch out HDMI ports every time (depending on which device I’m currently using)?
You can use the HDA-935 instead which allows connecting up to 3 input sources.

5. Turn on TV and Player/Xbox, let it completely on.
6. Plug the Bose 900 power.
7. Switch Audio Sources on Orei, if you previously set 7.1 than u have workaround again, during switch the Audio ch. You will hear the noise than congrats.

What am I doing wrong and what device do I need to put in between my PC and the sound bar so I can use Atmos?
Hi, Thanks for the like. You need an Audio Extractor for your setup. You can use our HDA-929, HDA-932 or the HDA-935.
Does it allow play PS5 Games in Dolby Atmos
Yes
Can this output to 2 different outputs simultaneously?
If you want to output to 2 sound devices simultaneously then, yes, it can do that. However, the audio format needs to be in a compatible format for both sound devices.
Okay so my TV only has ARC but my soundbar has eARC how would I do the connections?
If you are using this device, you just need to connect a non-arc port of the TV to the TV port on the device and the soundbar eARC port to the Soundbar port on the device.
