djdt77.... I read filth after buying the book on the basis of 1. Welsh 2. the pig on the cover. Its the first book that I felt I needed to shower after reading. I believe this is the reaction that Irine is likely to have wished for. As it happens, Trainspotting is probably the top 3 formative movies of my lifetime. I love how frickin honest he is in this interview.....
I still don’t think they picked the right actor for the movie ,he wasn’t a strong enough presence,a think someone like frank harper would have done the business but he would have needed some serious voice coaching
djdt77 I 100% disagree with you. James McAvoy was PERFECT for the role. If you read the book after seeing the film, you’ll see why. It lines up perfectly.

god, interviewer did a terrible job. first 5 minutes gets his dads job wrong and the name of his band wrong.
