Nice! I also fly both! Both are unique. I have a lot more time in fixed-wing aircraft but flying the helicopter around town here in LA is pretty damn fun. I agree that the cost difference is huge, plus I am not a fan of the Robinson helicopters and there isn't too many alternatives for renting. I also own a Cherokee Six that I like to take around when I don't fly for work.

I fly both radio control airplanes and helicopters. 🚁. Airplanes much easier. All the same mechanics and principles of full scale with models except you are flying from outside the aircraft perspective. If aircraft coming towards you left is right and right is left. If doing aerobatics and upside down then down is up and up is down! If upside down and coming towards you both are reversed. Takes some time to learn.
Love the full scale helicopter and airplane content Kinsey. I was always curious about the costs to get PPL for each. Didn’t know the R44’s were that much! I’ve looked to charter them and know that was costly. Are you IFR certified yet or thinking about it? What does cost for that certification usually look like?

Why wouldn’t it be? If anything regular college should be way cheaper since you’re usually never learning a hands on skill with products that require constant maintenance and inspections.
