    The best thing about this project is that the Bellmore brothers can do thrash metal and more melodic metal. We should get an amazing, versatile album.

    8/10 Keith's vocals obviously carry this track. I'll probably have this in my head after more listens tho.

    I love when the four on the floor bit kicks in and propels the song forward.

    I loved it even though it was missing that extra energy. I think it gave it a fun vibe, and I'm excited to see where we go from here

    It's good to hear Keith's voice again, I loved it, I hope they stop being so structured on the next tracks... But with all the respect that Many Eyes and Better Lovers deserve, ETID FOREVER!!

    Its everything I hoped to hear when it was announced Keith had a new band. I love it. I also love Better Lovers.
    And it appears Keith and his brother are on good terms now. So, maybe one day we can get a tour together way down the road.

    Keith is one of my favorite vocalists of all time and this song is cool but nothing will ever feel quite like ETID

    Probably an unpopular opinion, but I do wish this group went in a different direction with the music. I'll be curious to see how other tracks play in comparison to this one.

    So my take is that Jordan, Clayton and Steve nailed it by recruiting Will and Greg and creating a band that is doing something new, exciting and different. Keith sounds amazing but the music was missing that element that would really make this exciting. This feels like a case of where Keith needs them more than they needed Keith.

      You knew it was serious the moment Greg got involved.

    • @Zaddy_lite
      @Zaddy_lite Рік тому

      But Greg brings energy, not writing. Greg has always been a shallow lyricist, Keith superpower has always been connecting the PERFECT sentiment to match the music. So much more emotional depth. So even though I agree that the music here is less ambitious than better lovers, the emotional depth of Keith blows the content of all better lovers songs away.
      In the end, I just wish Keith was frontman for better lovers lol.

    So we're just pretending that ETID didn't release songs like Post-Boredom..?
    What is this, revisionist history of overrated 2000s metal bands?
    Some of their shit was DEP Lite (funny, given that collaboration) and some of the stuff was actually pretty 'repetitive'.
    Sound more than a bit jaded. Like maybe time for a break.

      @hamsandwich123 Рік тому

      Post-Boredom is far from their best track but it's a lot more interesting than this lol. the hook and some of the verse vocal melodies are a bit quirky (in a good way) and the riff writing has these cool southern, dissonant flourishes Jordan/Andy were known for that keeps it interesting. even at ETID's most repetitive their riffage is a huge step up from this snoozer, which mostly consists of lame 6th-string chugs and power chords reminiscent of 2000s hard rock/radio metal. just a complete dud.

    ETID was my favorite band. I’m loving Better Lovers, but I feel like this just falls off after the first verse?
    Feels like an AI ETID song instrumentally and structurally.

  • @Crashking416
    @Crashking416 Рік тому

    It's a solid track, but it's absolutely missing the uniqueness and energy that Jordan brought to the guitarwork.

  • @hamsandwich123
    @hamsandwich123 Рік тому

    this song is a whiff. Keith sounds fantastic ofc but the instrumentals are boring af. I don't really care that the track has a typical structure. it's more that the riffage is devoid of any creativity and feels 2000s hard rock adjacent. I'm hoping the album has something more interesting because rn Better Lovers is looking like the far superior post-ETID band.
