Almost got sucked into cloud | Extreme conditions Ventus 2 | Sierra Sierra Soaring

This time I am cruising along in one of my favourite gliding regions, the Sauerland. Conditions were really great that day but the clouds were getting bigger and bigger, over-developing as we say in gliding language. Of course, strong thermals were feeding those big clouds (Cumulus Congestus) and I hit one of them quite close to cloud base, causing the glider to almost enter the cloud base. In the center the netto vario read almost 13m/s updraft, which is a lot. I will keep some more distance next time!

In the V2 you can carefully deploy the spoilers up to VNE if needed

Es waehre schoen sein wenn so ein flugzeug etwas mehr festigkeit haette. (= groessere weisse arc, kleinere gelbe arc). Einfach voll durch donnern unter denn cumulus.

What's wrong with entering a cumulus cloud for a minute or two ? It was not a cumulonimbus.
