Pat Carroll shared her clothes and glasses with singer Paul Williams . Whoever designed this set: PLEASE come here and decorate my HOME ! I want to LIVE in a 1968 Avon gift set !
Willy Rey was a Dutch-Canadian model. She was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for its February 1971 issue. Her centerfold was photographed by Mario Casilli. When she was six years old, her family moved from the Netherlands to Canada. Willie died a short time after her appearance on this show. She overdosed on barbiturates (sleeping pills) She was 24 years old. So damn sad 😢
Dawson had been in the US for about 10 years in 1972, but his vocabulary still went full-British now and then -- like when he asks whether the Playboy model's picture is "on a hoarding?" That is in fact the British term for a billboard. Also, what a delight to hear Kaye Ballard playing flute!

I love when Nanette uses her sign language.

The first and last guests made watching this well worth it for me.

Not gonna lie, that segment with Kaye Ballard and Pat Carroll swang hard, and I loved it!
I'm a little surprised they showed the stock certificate for that time.
I came here to say the same!
Great Talent... so much fun. (And NO lectures) At least we have these clips on youtube to remind us that Entertainers once existed.
RIP Pat Carroll.
I think Our Kaye was trying to update her image by looking like Helen Reddy, but- whew!- it didn't last. Kaye was Kaye, just right as-is.
Nanette Fabray (1920-2018) is the aunt of the actress Shelley Fabarés (born 1944).
Nanette said “Hi” in sign language.
0:05 is the part where I seem to think that this aired in 2021. With no green-yellow covering screen.
Kaye Ballard has her hair all done ups in "KLUTE" style !!
Did Nannette and Pat rally think animals are neither male nor female?
Sounds like the Incredible Hulk ending music at 14:16.
I just read that Willy Rey died of an overdose of barbiturates (sleeping pills) in Vancouver on 13 August 1973. She was 23 years old.
That’s terrible.
Very sad
Gene Rayburn was a jerk the more shows I see him in .
If being a ‘jerk’ means he was an interesting amusing guy then I totally agree with you.
I would give $5 to know what idiocy was involved with the talk about the gender or lack of gender of the subject in the Lassie segment.
The roles of "Lassie" were portrayed by male collies. Your local animal rescue association will appreciate the $5. 😄👍
