Khairpur city is known for the centuries-old Kot Diji Fort.Till 1843, 500 soldiers with 100 canons were posted here under the command of one general.The fort is more than 80 feet tall. The ancient structure was built over a period of 10 years from 1785 to 1795, and still the most valuable monument of Pakistan.
