Thank you very much for this wonderful contemporary document and for showing it to the public. Seeing it felt like a dream to me, back to the time when I was 8 years old. I already knew Stralsund, Berlin - Lichtenberg, Berlin-Grünau at that time and everything that travelled around there because I paid attention to these things as a child. Because I had a mum who took me to the living room window on New Year's Eve, opened it at midnight and we heard all the steam locomotives from Köpenick to Wuhlheide and Rummelsburg greet the New Year with a loooong whistle. Thanks for the time, thanks for the film!

It's very rare to see footage of the GDR in this era. Remarkable how well kept everything was. Nice to see the Br93 and unrebuilt Br52, these would be missed out by enthusiasts in the 1980s, like the variety of classes on Rügen and other narrow gauge lines.
Wonderful footage from the "Deutsche Reichsbahn", Trams and Towns like Bergen, Stralsund in the GDR. I suppose, the footage was made from non-residents ("Devisenausländer). In the GDR It was until 1973 not allowed to take pictures from the railways.
Beautiful and astounding impressions of the GDR in the late years of Walter Ulbricht. The summer of 1967 was also the time when a traumatic railway disaster happened in Langenweddingen.
Real amazing footages of steam locomotives in the former GDR. I think , the camera man had much luck for not been arrested. At that time it was forbidden to film Railways...😮

A journey in time to a country, that vanished without trace. The tranquility of it all is overwhelming. Thank you for sharing it!

Wow.wow.wow😊
@@Beimann_1973 Das wusste ich nicht 😯
