I have the latest Roadside Geology of Montana and enjoy it thoroughly. I grew up in Great Falls, Joplin, and Hamilton (up the Skalkaho.) I love to drive around our state and to learn how things were formed (or at least man's idea of how they were formed.)
Man has an amazing ability to do things that are not too intelligent. We tend to build where we shouldn't. I have seen plenty of examples. The one I really like is building on a landslide. One house is bad enough but it usually turns into a housing development.

Another fantastic presentation. I have both of your books. Unfortunately, they are at the cabin in Montana, and I'm in Southern California caring for my 99 year old Mother. And, waiting for "the big one " to occur.😂

I know some farmers who would be happy if a student wanted to collect thousands of samples for a Senior/Masters thesis paper on “Provenance of glacial erratics near Shelby Montana”
