Does anyone else’s chinchillas love going through tunnels/tubes, I have cut tubes from house gutter things and they love them. They also so far haven’t chewed on them yet🤞 I think it’s interesting tho😂
Is my chinchilla weird for this, she says chinchillas don’t like dogs because they stress them out I have a really tiny dog and she wants nothing to do with my chinchilla chewy and she’s always sleeping on my bed avoiding chewy while he runs around my room and chewy always comes up to her and try’s to cuddle with her and she just always moves away. Idk he likes to cuddle everything
Do you think my chinchilla will be okay without a wheel for a little bit? I ordered mine a few hours ago and it'll come in two weeks. Will he be okay with out one for a while? Also congrats on 8,000 subscribers! I found you a couple days ago and you're already my favorite UA-camr, and that's saying a lot because I watch A LOT of UA-camrs XD
On the treat subject, I just got a really neat box from Chinvilla on Etsy with a bunch of different, safe treats. But for daily, I like to just give her willow sticks.
My chinchilla is in the living room. For that first month maybe, when we were still getting to know each other, she'd get scared at any little sound, but then she got used to us and now she's in the living room. She doesn't mind us or the TV and sleeps through it without issue. Then again, for the most part it's just me at home during the day M-F (stay-at-home mom).
Yesterday we took my chinchillas out and mine is shy,but they are starting to trust us! She let me hold her! She is shy because previous owners neglected them.I'm looking forward to creating a strong bond👍😊

Teresa Cimino Your chin can stay in their cage just as long as your working on getting a new one by saving up or something. Or you can try making one with safe wood and wire or something. But if you can’t afford a chinchilla and all the costs they come with (having a large cage) then maybe they are not the right pet for you💕💕
A chin video idea could be making a video whith him eating whith music in the background or you can answer questions while he eats (or it's just so cute I can't get enough whith my own chin)
Hi. Love your videos. Can you do a video about the best way to grab and hold a Chin safely to check them for their hair rings on a male? Ours isn't interested in being picked up although we can pet him easily. I know they have sensitive ribs so I just want to do it without hurting him or traumatizing him lol. Thanks!
Really need some help here with my cage :P Tweak my chin well he wont stop bitting on the plastic cage trays . even after training and doubleing the flece etc. I want to find the metal replacement tray/pan Where in the world do i find these i see people have them for there critter nation but when i search NO results. I want my chin to live his best life without plastics. Plus the critter nation top level has that odd cut out. that pan too? Please help!

Denise Barriga It might take him some time to adjust, and it would’ve normal if he’s wary at first. But if you allow him to peacefully adjust well, he should open up pretty soon to you given his friendly personality 💕

They just moved across the country closer to me and wanted to give him to me since she doesnt have as much time for him anymore. But I can tell he loves his cage. His toys as well. He had a good size cage with her but mine is twice the size. I just wanted to make sure I'm doing everything right
Thank you for the advice! I let him be, I would just walk by his cage and he slowly started coming up to the doors. Once he seemed comfortable I let him out for play time and he just got comfortable quick after that. We just had our second playtime since iva had him and he is jumping on me and into my hand and let's me hold him. It's so cute to have him come running when he hears my voice! I love being a chinchilla parent
He's such a cutie! and "albinos" or pink eyed whites definitely don't have any difference in personality, but mine does have more sensitive eyes which is a red/light eyed trait in all animals! also the rabbit thing, I'd be careful of! They actually carry a pretty harmful bacteria called pasteurella (similar to what's in cat saliva) that may be "dormant" for them, but they're still carriers for chinchillas and can ultimately lead to their death. It's something that should be heavily considered before owning both of those species. Mine are housed on separate floors and I always make sure to wash my hands in between contact and avoid the sharing of supplies. It's something not a lot of people are aware of but it's always a good precaution to take if possible! Here's an awesome link as a source
Hello I had a question about my chinchilla gizmo, I got him in september and ge hasnt seemed to adjust and doesnt want to even be interacted with. Sometimes he sits by the door and when i open it he tries to jump out. And if I dont let him he will bite and then jump. Please if you have any tips reply it would be really helpful. Thank you
Have a chin who seems sick, constipated or in some stage of pregnancy. Makes funny movements, contraction type, stretching but then also does not eat as much or being active as usual. Then doesnt poop at all or very tiny balls which wasnt like before.
Took her to the vet yesterday. She was pregnant all a long.Had to do a c section to remove the baby. Was too big to deliver herself. But baby and mom fine, collecting them tomorrow.

Brooke Davis An unlimited supply and if you notice them eating way too much, limit it to 2 tablespoons a day for a while until they get back to normal 😊

i got a chinchilla a few months ago from craigslist and he runs and hides from me during playtime and he doesn't act like Merlin my chinchilla will hide in his hut every time i walk up to his cage please help!
How do you bond 2 chinchillas? I used to have 2 then one died. We just got a little boy, and my old one is reacting really bad. They are currently in separate cages.
@dawn newschwander It's because when a chinchilla is close with another chinchilla and then they die or get taken away, they tend to behave badly and maybe even not eat. That's what happened when my chinchillas lived in different homes, but then we adopted them. I'm not quite sure how to bond them,but maybe overtime they will get used to eachother.I hope they bond and your chinchilla is better!
Mine does, but if your chinchilla tries to, tell them no and lightly push them away,don't push. You can also try putting towels on the places they chew and give them a substitute like cardboard.
@zoo holic thank you for the advice, but how can a towel hurt a chinchilla? And if there is wooden chew toys for chinchillas, then how can cardboard hurt it? I'm just wondering, 😊

I love doing my nails, but my chinchilla loves to nibble. Do you know any nail polish 💅 that won’t affect or hurt her?

Coconut oil works good too for the feet or dry skin.

You can buy them off a breeder, from some pet stores or they're sometimes available at rescues/shelters. Hope this helped

Where do you recommend buying Chinchillas from? The pet stores I have close by are Feeders Supply, PetSmart, and Petco.
Jhopeismyhopeee e rescuing/adopting a chinchilla is better, they would be healthier and happier. or a breeder is also good.
