Miami held on in a defensive battle to beat Wake Forest at home, 55-43. The Hurricanes’ defense was stout all afternoon, holding the Deacs to just 31% from the field, but they got to work when it counted most, as Wake didn’t score for the game’s final 2 minutes. Destiny Harden’s 13 points and 6 assists led Miami in both categories. Alyssa Andrews and Elise Williams each had 10 points for the Demon Deacons.
