Called Megiddo in English, but it means Armageddon in Hebrew. Located in the Jezreel Valley, it was located on the Via Maris. For this reason, every world power needed it for military strategy.

Location
1. Tel Megiddo is located about 15 miles (26 Km.) east of the Mediterranean Ocean and about 25 miles (40 Km.) southwest of the Sea of Galilee.
2. Megiddo lied at the juncture of several key routes (the main route being called the Via Maris) which linked Africa to Asia and Europe. For this reason, any country who rose to world power had to control Megiddo due to its strategic location.
3. More battles have been fought in this location than any other place in the entire world.
4. The name, Armageddon is derived from “Har-Megiddo” which is translated, “Armageddon.” Har means hill, and Megeddon is the place. When these words are joined together it is Armageddon.
5. Today, this place is called Megiddo in English. It’s located in the most fertile valley in Israel called, The Jezreel Valley.”
6. It is a "Tel" which is made up of layer upon layer of different civilizations that make up an artificial hill.
7. Tel Megiddo is made up of 25-26 layers of civilizations.
8. Today, you can see a busy highway right beside Tel Megiddo that uses the same ancient travel route that has been used for 6,000 years.
9. One of the Pharaohs, Thutmose the III, said conquering Megiddo was like conquering a thousand cities.
Historical Background
1. 4000 BC: Early Settlements.
2. 2000 BC: Massive city walls were built.
3. 1800 BC: A Canaanite gate was constructed on the north side.
4. 1500 BC: The gate and walls were rebuilt.
5. 1468 BC: The city rebelled against the Egyptians with other Canaanite cities and was conquered by Thutmose III after a great battle and a 7-month siege.
6. 960 BC: New gate and walls built by the Israelites under Solomon's command.
7. 945 BC: Pharaoh Shishak conquers the city (1 Kings 14:25). A fragment of a tablet with Pharaoh Shishak's name was found here.
8. 850 BC: King Ahab fortified Megiddo and dug a water tunnel to access water within the city walls.
9. 732 BC: The city was captured by the Assyrian King Tiglath-Pileser III. Megiddo became the capital of the Assyrian province of the Galilee.
10. 650 BC: Battle between the Egyptian Army and the Kingdom of Judah (King Josiah died in this battle).
11. 609 BC: The Egyptians replaced the Assyrians.
12. 300 BC: The city was abandoned, and the Tel was left in ruins.
13. 1918 AD: Battles between the British and the Turks in WW1. Britain gains control over Israel.
14. 1948 AD: Britain granted independence to Israel.
15. 1949 AD: Kibbutz Megiddo was established on the south side of Tel Megiddo.

I am so thankful that I found this channel!! The last few minutes were really hard for me to get through. I know people reject and deny God, but my heart still breaks for those who will be lost. We might be rejoicing while they are suffering and that thought is really hard for me to deal with. We need to be lights in this world, to reach those who are lost. And we can all pray for them. It's a shame to think that there's going to be many people that just don't want to obey God. Fascinating! Thanks. Armageddon event; 'Been & Gone' theory! I received sensitive information in Egypt & went to London Commonwealth Office (LCO) in July 1997. I was thanked & appointed to a Commonwealth project; 'To facilitate Israel joining the Commonwealth, as planned in 1919'.
'To facilitate Israel's entry into Commonwealth'. I asked WHY? LCO replied that during World War 1 (WW1), 19-25 September 1918, this battle of Megiddo (Armageddon) was fought. So, LCO decided to establish Israel after WW1 had to establish Israel. The LCO bible interpretation was 1] Armageddon, 2] Messiah, 3] Israel established & 4] Israel to be 'A light unto the Nations'.
In 1918, LCO decided that time for 4] had arrived. LCO established Trans-Jordan as Palestine (89%) in 1921. Israel would be on Cis-Jordan (21%). BUT in 1922 the League of Nations took over and did not establish Israel as planned.
So, LCO decided that Armageddon was fought over 100 years ago & that perhaps the Messiah had also ''Been & Gone''. Thus, that Trans-Jordan would be the Palestinian state and Israel (Light to Nations) would be all of Cis-Jordan.
Nobody can prove LCO wrong. League of Nations (LON) tried. But LON failed. Time for Archaeology to solve ''The Riddle of the Sands''🖖💯🖖

I had a dream I was transported to another country. I thought it was Africa. But when I asked someone in the dream where was I someone said Jezarel. They also said a second name as tho they was naming the area as well. But I can't recall the second name. It seemed to be a college I was transported to. The dream felt soooooo real. I didnt want to wake up. I dont interpret dreams but I had never heard of Jezareel but I looked it up and learned it means God sows. 😊 now I'm here studying this video wanting to learn more about this place God allowed me to see in my dream
