Jimmie, we have been friends before there was a label deal, a booking agent, or any tour. And we have remained friends since that day and I cannot explain how proud I am of you to share this with the public while being so genuine, so authentic with your emotions and most personal struggles. I am so thankful that Kathy continues to be a friend to Jimmy and was there for him in the midst of his trials. There were several moments in this interview where she really spoke truth and loving directed him to truth. Especially the moment at 49:00 when Jimmy was saying he wanted to be able go provide for his children and give them what they want and more and then Kathy said, "they want you..." I said amen. For 6 children to be sharing a gifted musical artist for a father, surely the "things" won't matter so much as the time they get to spend with their dad. They need a father more than they need the spoils that come from money. I pray Jimmy would measure his success as a father not just by the lifestyle he provided but the time he spent with each of his children. I remember seeing Jimmy as a mentor on The Voice and feeling like something was “off.” I saw his eyes…and to be honest, I wondered if he was either high or depressed or both. Had no idea what all he was dealing with. Kathie Lee is a great friend an really does give great advice. Wisdom so often really does come with age. I have only one child..a thirty seven year old son. He was recently diagnosed with kidney cancer. He has three young daughters. I promise you…if we ever lose him (and I pray we don’t), his kids wouldn’t miss what he bought them. They would miss HIM…and cherish each memory.

I too lost my dad 2 days before I saw you in concert it's hard to lose a parent. I know you have had some rough patches in the last few years and we are all human and make mistakes. I as Delawaren and a true I never gave up on you sometimes we get lost in everything that is going on in life wether its the professional side and or the personal side and we make not the best choices. Jimmy you are a brave soul to tell your story and reveal your vulnerability. I knew when I saw the headlines I thought oh boy Jimmy is being put on the cross and we don't know that it is true. I too Jimmy had things said about me that were not true. My daughter went through a horrible custody situation and in those situations they throw anything out there to see if it will stick. My family was put on the cross yet we did not do anything wrong. It changes you though. Your situation was on a much more magnified level but I understand you learn who your friends really are and you end up with a close circle moving forward. You are so blessed to have your Mom, close friends, and a beautiful wonderful soul named Kathie Lee. We all would be lucky to have a Kathie Lee by ourside through this journey if life. I am so sorry that when you hit rock bottom that you felt like giving up be happy you did not give up. Was this situation bad? Yes. But you persevered and your career is not over. Is it different now? Yes. But I believe with everything in me you will shine through this. How true the words you spoke. The teacher is quiet during the test. I too was a people pleaser. The older you get the less it matters. So someone told me something funny but true. When you are in your 30s, the light bulb goes on. When you turn 40 , it is like you want me to do what? The 50's create the attitude that you don't give a rats a** about what others think. This too shall pass and take Kathie Lee's advice she gave herself. Your Joy Is Not Negotiable. Jimmie, I know you were going through something and I want you to know I'm from Delaware back in 2019 in August you played at the Bottle and Cork in August . I too lost my dad 2 days before I saw you in concert it's hard to lose a parent. I know you have had some rough patches in the last few years and we are all human and make mistakes. I as Delawaren and a true I never gave up on you sometimes we get lost in everything that is going on in life wether its the professional side and or the personal side and we make not the best choices. I believe that happens for a reason helping us to grow stronger and better. You never lost me as a fan I don't buy into the headlines and gossip. Thank you for speaking about what happened. Jimmy you are a brave soul to tell your story and reveal your vulnerability. I knew when I saw the headlines I thought oh boy Jimmy is being put on the cross and we don't know that it is true. I too Jimmy had things said about me that were not true. My daughter went through a horrible custody situation and in those situations they throw anything out there to see if it will stick. My family was put on the cross yet we did not do anything wrong. It changes you though. Your situation was on a much more magnified level but I understand you learn who your friends really are and you end up with a close circle moving forward. You are so blessed to have your Mom, close friends, and a beautiful wonderful soul named Kathie Lee. We all would be lucky to have a Kathie Lee by ourside through this journey if life. I am so sorry that when you hit rock bottom that you felt like giving up be happy you did not give up. Was this situation bad? Yes. But you persevered and your career is not over. Is it different now? Yes. But I believe with everything in me you will shine through this. How true the words you spoke. The teacher is quiet during the test. I too was a people pleaser. The older you get the less it matters. So someone told me something funny but true. When you are in your 30s, the light bulb goes on. When you turn 40 , it is like you want me to do what? The 50's create the attitude that you don't give a rats a** about what others think. This too shall pass and take Kathie Lee's advice she gave herself. Your Joy Is Not Negotiable.
