Is it safe to use on sarees - silk/chiffon etc? Will there be a possibility of burn? Also is the risk of burning hand too much if you don't take care?

It is safe for any fabric. The steam is very hot and it can burn your hand if you are not careful. It’s not going to give you blisters unless you touch your skin with it or you are too close to the steam.
