@@johnlloydquitain8116 yes. There are singers who have better support in lows than in belts. Taylor is example, she can support up to C5 (she has one supported C#5) but her consistent support is only up to A4/Bb4, while in lows she can support down to Eb3 and being consistent to F3 and even lower than Eb3 show good technique. Another example of this is Selena Gomez, Selena technically isn't the best singer and her lows are good but for mezzo they are quite average, she can support down to Eb3 and her consistent is F#3, but when it comes to her belts, her highest supported belt is Bb4/B4 but it's extremely rare to see her support higher than A4, even that A4 is inconsistent. Similar to a John Mayer but in female form. Taylor's precisely why I don't think people should incorporate timbre in fach for any other purpose than describing vocal colour. This is why people think Christina Aguilera is a Mezzo lol. People discount the ability of vocal mix to dramatically alter one's tone, and on the opposite side with Xtina, a total absence of blending and a presence of hollering can convince people she has a fuller voice.

When it comes to low notes Miley,Beyoncé,Mariah,Brandy,Jazmine,Toni Braxton,Jojo, & Tori Kelly Are The Goats…. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the low notes on “die with you” & otherside by Beyoncé
not every airy or soft low note is a weak or 'bad' note. Christina alone has demonstrated that she uses a softer tone for a large portion of her lower notes because she likes that sound better, and heavy robust lows dont always fit the song. Billie's note sounded fine, and a couple others that you placed in the bad to me sounded unforced and controlled even with a breathier tone.
having a deeper voice myself, it's really eye-opening to hear how different women with higher voices tend to sound at the bottom of their range compared to women with deeper voices. It's amazing how our voices are built for different purposes and really impressive to see sopranos singing so well outside of their comfortable range.
As a singer myself I want to say that singing good lows requires the same, if not better support as highs and much more accuracy as frequencies get closer. Good news from Ukraine: we started a counterattack and feel inspired to end the evil. Thank you for your support 🖤

OMG THANK YOU I HAVE BEEN EAGERLY WAITING FOR THIS 💙💙💙 Dinah consistently supported down to A3/Bb3 from the X-Factor era until 2018 (post-5H). She has definitely worked on her low notes after the group went on hiatus because she has gone from singing weak, unsupported G#3s and A3s to singing audible E3s and consistently supporting G#3s. Leigh consistently supported down to A3 until 2019/2020, after which she began to consistently support G#3. However, nothing below that is ever supported for her. She probably worked on her lows. Plus, she would have improved on projection since her voice deepened as a result of pregnancy. Ally consistently supports down to G#3/A3. Her lows are much better than they used to be but they're still quite weak and inconsistent (on certain occasions, she has projected F3s and F#3s but on others, we can barely hear even G#3s) Ariana only consistently supports down to G3 but she has a lot of good moments on F#3, and even on F3, a note that she has never supported. I may be wrong but I think Morissette's F3 was actually worse than Demi's because hers was breathier than Demi's and she seemed to be lowering her larynx while Demi's larynx was in a neutral position. Jade consistently supports down to G3, often lowering her larynx below E3/F3. This particular Eb3 is no exception; it is clear that Jade is lowering her larynx but she still has exceptional lows for a soprano so who can blame her? Lady Gaga has really good lows with support down to D3 at best and consistently until Eb3. It is important to note that, even though her lower register is less developed than every mezzo-soprano in the industry except for P!nk, Sara Bareilles and Adele, her lows above C#3 are full and well-supported. JoJo is definitely Top 10 for females in the music industry when it comes to low notes. She consistently supports until D3 and carries a full sound down to B2/C3 despite being very uncomfortable in that area. Miley probably has the best lows out of all the female singers in the industry right now with consistent support down to C#3/D3 and good projection down to B2. Natalie and Beyoncé both consistently support down to C#3. However, they have had their good moments below that. Bey's C3s are solid (especially the C3 in this video).

i think you should have explained the reason why some notes are bad .. cause some of those are totally fine to my ears ... i don't find any problems with going breathy on low notes if it fits ... some of the good ones seem off to me or pushed cause they add a lot of volumes and it goes wrong sometimes ! Mariah Carey lows were flawless like you don't even recongnize it is low because its connected to the rest of the notes ...
Mariah has the best soprano lower register in my opinion, also taylor being consistent on F3 and supporting down to D3 for a soprano is crazyyy. Is it just me if can Tori Kelly basically do everything when it comes to singing? Amazing whistle tone, can go down to C3, angelic runs and riffs…like….💖
I mean.. she can sound pretty rough and tense with her upper belts, but that's it.
Thank you for using Celine, she has great lows!!
I think we all knew that Miley and Beyonce would be in the lowest notes xD
When it comes to low notes Miley,Beyoncé,Mariah,Brandy,Jazmine,Toni Braxton,Jojo, & Tori Kelly Are The Goats…. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the low notes on “die with you” & otherside by Beyoncé
4:26 I loved those lows by Christina.
They sound pleasant!
true: sopranos can sing high
false: sopranos can’t sing low
Just like mezzos can sing high. People just tend to care more about what sopranos do for some strange reason though
Jojo's vocals will always blow my mind and have a special place in my heart. What a talented woman.
Mariah is the queen of lows , i cant believe he only used one clip 😭
not every airy or soft low note is a weak or 'bad' note.
True sometimes my lower notes are airy but it doesn't affect me and they are supported
That's precisely why he said that it's a "personal opinion" in the first place. :)
having a deeper voice myself, it's really eye-opening to hear how different women with higher voices tend to sound at the bottom of their range compared to women with deeper voices.
Natalie, Tori and Mariah are ridiculously good in low notes considering they are sopranos.
Celine too
Mariah is a bit overrated ngl
@@christiancolo7768 In her low notes definitely, she can consistently sing down there low but its because she lowrrs he larynx as her low register is not fully developed. Her voice overall isn't fully developed.
@@samuelking9497 she's still consistent down to F3/F#3
@@samuelking9497 Oh please, her voice is well developed. She's a Soprano in mainstream music. You're acting like singing incredibly in the lower 3rd & upper 2nd octave is an expectation for Sopranos... her lows are well-developed for her voice type.
the F3 of Xtina was a stylistic choice to make it sexier!! The F3 is so easy for her
I was so mad when I saw her on that note!
Beyoncé and Jojo have in my opinion the best lower register with Gaga, Miley, Mariah and Tori next
Celine is even better than some of these people u mentioned
@@allykelly Celine is on par with Mariah when it comes to lows (in terms of technique)
@@Number-ek1hf Celine is more consistent on E3s. Mariah lowered her larynx more often
@@Supcharged but Mariah supports lower… she just lowers it for effect
@@Number-ek1hf No she doesnt, she only had a very small quantity of E3 and not at all consistent.
The Adele's one is really great. And let's remember that the Royal Albert Hall show was the first time she sang after the vocal surgery
I love that Ari is getting more recognition for her lows now
BEYONCÉ, TORI, JOJO, MARIAH AND NATALIE ARE LOW NOTES ( EVERY SINGLE NOTES ACTUALLY) QUEENS
Miley's low notes deserved more clips.
Rihanna's voice is so beautiful.
Her low notes are so good 👍😊😊 but yeah it is tbh and I'm not even a fan like that just saying..... I'm always amazed and impressed by her voice she seriously does not get enough credit when it comes to that
omg JoJo's E3 is so good
OMG THANK YOU I HAVE BEEN EAGERLY WAITING FOR THIS 💙💙💙
Dinah consistently supported down to A3/Bb3 from the X-Factor era until 2018 (post-5H).
Her lows are much better than they used to be but they're still quite weak and inconsistent (on certain occasions, she has projected F3s and F#3s but on others, we can barely hear even G#3s)
Ariana only consistently supports down to G3 but she has a lot of good moments on F#3, and even on F3, a note that she has never supported.
Bey's C3s are solid (especially the C3 in this video).
nah nah nah nahhhh, Aint no other fan you shady as HELLL for having demi being *bodied* on low notes on their OWN SONG XD....
Makes for a good comparison but DAYUM. I saw Morisette and was like "lol same song, what if the great low note was tori on DEMI's song" and BOOM you did that I-
You're welcome! lol
“a3 isn’t low?”
*remembers i am baritone*
…
👏
morissette is always so amazing. she's really strong in every possible angle, love seeing her get recognized more often.
Hey I’m second. I’ll take it! And I love this twist with low notes.
Jazmine Sullivan invented low notes. The background vocals on her EP :,) Mariah can also make resonant lows considering her range, and they're so well placed
Miley's ones>>>>>
Christina just couldn't get a break 🤣 whether high notes or low notes she's mostly on the RED category
My FAVOURITES are: Queen Bey, Mariah, Tori, and Normani!!!!💖💖💖💖 l LOVE their lower register sooooooo muchhhhhhh.💖💖💖
Miley cyrus D3 gave me chills
That Miley performance on the Howard Stern show was incredible!
8:28 might be bad technically but she sounded good. Rihanna’s tone is pure gold.
@SkinnyRiah What is the name of the song??
That was STONE COLD😭😭💀
we need more low notes!!!!!
Low note representation! Yasssssss
So I'm from Ukraine and after watching your video hearing how you are drawing attention to war in my country is just so cool and I don't know what to say. THank you
Jazmine Sullivan has great lows would be cool to see her in more videos
If you want to hear a perfect LOW NOTES check-out the song "YOU'RE SO COLD// MARIAH CAREY". she's killing the intro.
I've been saying for years:
GAGA HAS AMAZING LOWS! 😍😍😍
wish you used Dua Lipa more in your videos, she has a decent lower register and actually is very overlooked as a vocalist
i think you should have explained the reason why some notes are bad .. cause some of those are totally fine to my ears ...
i don't find any problems with going breathy on low notes if it fits ...
some of the good ones seem off to me or pushed cause they add a lot of volumes and it goes wrong sometimes !
Mariah Carey lows were flawless like you don't even recongnize it is low because its connected to the rest of the notes ...
Beyoncé singing a C3 better than 99% of the male singers in the industry. What a legend
C3 isn't just for males
Mariah has the best soprano lower register in my opinion, also taylor being consistent on F3 and supporting down to D3 for a soprano is crazyyy. Miley has the best female lower register, support down to B♭2 and consistent on C3?,marvelous.
I may also add tori is the standard for excellent low register, like really its terrific.
Unbreak my heart has very difficult lower registers.
Was hoping to see Sabrina Carpenter here (I always am, lol.) She has an impressive lower register.
I mean as usual, the good singers shine (ari, tori, mariah being sopranos and miley, jojo, beyonce being mezzos)
Love your videos!
6:04 is that Liz Gillies????
Some ideas for the next bad, decent, great video
Whistles
Head voice (I'm going to shrivel up and die if god is a woman from bbc performance is not in it)
Riffs & Runs
Supported notes
Yess head voice & falsetto next!!
A correction, the C#3 from Bey was actually Eb3
Funny, Rihanna at 8:26 was shown as a bad example (and I agree) but it was actually the best I've ever heard her sing. 😄
only one miley clip????
I must be tone deaf because some of these I’m like uh huh sure yep
I think it's totally possible to sing with not great technique and still have it sound perfectly nice (to anyone not specifically trained to recognize technique, at least).
Tone deaf is not that.
Tone deaf is a real thing where you can't understand pitch difference.

@Ain’t No Other Fan can I ask you why did you put Ariana’s F#3 (3:30) in the recent section? I’m just asking cuz it sounds great to me
Isn't a bit too breathy?
Also 1:50, I mean she did a run down from falsetto into her lower register but kept the breathy sound from the falsetto before as a stylistic choice.
Lmaooo you did demi dirty in the stone cold part 😭 not her being the bad technique on her own song 😭😭😭
Excuse me but I enjoy all your series!
head voice next!!!!
I don’t agree at all with airy being considered bad, some seemed to be stylistic choices
