A little over 50 yrs. ago we lived in a place similar to that for 2 years while my husband updated college courses so he could go to medical school. I knew I would be alone during the days and most nights while he worked. I made it a point to get to know everyone around us. Come to find out that all were good people except a couple. I traded out sewing for eggs. I liked it after a while. LOL I sure understand Brandi being scared! Their wedding and baby showers were the best ever!

A good place to be armed. Never know about people living out in the boonies like that. We have strange people that do that here in the outskirts of Mesa Az in the Tonto national forest. I recall while we'd be in Mt. Home Arkansas and Norfork we'd see people her family said were living off the radar. Some of them were moonshiners. Mostly just rough looking people some with grungy looking kids living like you said Hobo's. Glad that worked out well.
