There are literally thousands of dance songs from the 90s with that organ 2 bass sound. The fact beyonce credited her for the sound doesn’t make any sense at all. With that logic she would have to credit every house dj in the 90s lmao
That's what you took from this? You are hard at understanding don't you? This clearly shows Beyonce shouldn't have credited anyone. The synth itself is not owned by any artist. Multiple songs in the 90s all had the same synth. That's the point. Are you ADHD or something?
I always feel so bad for producers because of things like this. Producers alone only get about 1% of actual revenues from beats and all the time they put in and honestly without the producer there is just vocals and that’s not as important you can have a great song which has no vocals because sound ultimately makes up music the most. Producers need way more credit in society and more deserves recognition especially for the hours they put in for making a song sound great down to each and every frequency. It takes a lot to learn and make. Hope this changes in the future.
You know what I kept going I don’t hear Show My Love at all. That song was one of my faves when it was out & still. I heard similarities of other club songs but not this one at all. I’m glad I’m not the only one with good ears.😊
Still..... When i heard "you won't break my soul" i DIRECT thought of the Robin S. song. Thanks for the explaination in facts but still, for the 90's listener we directly hear this has been done before. Beyoncé should have shown Kelis her respect in that other copy + cat move which Beyoncé does a lot. A singer of her level can score FULL original hitsong. However this song is nice and only fair she mentionned Robin S.
She did originally....she not only credited the writers and legal owners of the Milkshake copyright but she went so far as to credit KELIS TOO. Which she didn't even have to do. It was because of that that people started to his up Kelis and she got all piaay because she didn't receive a gotdayum phone call from Beyonce telling her that she was doing something she had no legal obligation to know about.
Im sure what she's paying is not even noticed! She has so much money she's just keeping her name clean so she don't get sued like many artists have lol 😆
I've never heard the Beyonce song before this video, but I can tell you without a doubt, Robin S.' song is WAY BETTER. 90's dance club music is and was so fun!
Beyonce has enough legal eagle's working for her, that's why she cut the check. I would believe that the "show me love" artist would deserve some money. Beyonce is heavily SAMPLING the song. So paying them is the right thing to do.
It's not a sample trust me, it's a completely different melody and musical key. To people ignorant to dance music 🎶 it may sound similar. I'm guessing people hear the organ used in both songs and think that makes it a sample. The thing is Show Me Love was not the original ones to use that sound, many dance tunes before that in Europe used it. I'm Facebook friends with the guy who done the original dance remix that everyone is referring to. He said "It's not a sample, but to be safe they credited the original Show Me Love song writers". If someone used a saxophone 🎷 in there song, it doesn't mean they owe everyone money who used a saxophone in a tune before them. I hope this makes sense to you.
I just discovered your channel and I LOVE it!!!!! I love your break downs! When I heard this Beyonce song I thought I really like it! It definitely has a 90s vibe but I definitely wasnt thinking Show Me Love. Now that you broke it down it makes sense. Love the whispered INTERPOLATION! 🤣🤣
THANK YOU for this short, i hope it goes far and wide because i'm so fed up on people spreading constant misinformation about classic pieces of dance music whenever a huge mega artist decides to jump on it. Stonebridge deserves far more respect for his work.
House in the Park gon be lit 🔥 this year and yes Atlanta is where it’s at so y’all can hear both the knock off and the Real Real! Come on out get your tickets online

Because why not support another black female artist? May as well avoid any heat and get ahead of it. Robin S actually didnt even know or was asked, so idk who is getting paid.
Well thats noble of beyoncé yo give credit but it doesnt sound close to me.....maybe the instrumental slightly but if she know she know we know the Kardashian would never admit where they steal their ideas from

A sample. Beyonce isn’t having anyone come from her. That’s what I took from it.
Yup. That’s what I got too!

Is it me or is anyone CURIOUS to hear ROBIN S sing “ Break My Soul”? I mean 😍😍
I also wanna hear Beyonce sing “Show Me Love” that would slay so hard
I was trying to figure out where that familiar sound in her song came from! I knew I wasn’t trippin
Now I just realized that kid ink's song "Show Me" also uses this song.
yes that’s right! Funnily enough, Kid Ink mentions Bey’s name in Show Me.
Sameee
What’s sad is that Bey will make more money than Robin S ever did, for a legit classic House jam.
What do you mean? If Robin S has the rights to this song than she will be paid as well.
That's what you took from this? You are hard at understanding don't you? This clearly shows Beyonce shouldn't have credited anyone. The synth itself is not owned by any artist. Multiple songs in the 90s all had the same synth. That's the point. Are you ADHD or something?
Robin S didn’t write this song and also isn’t sad about it and praised Bey so idk why you’re sad 😂

It really sounds nothing like Show Me Love, I could honestly show people 100 tracks that sounds closer.
It does

Thanks for breaking this down and actually properly explaining it as too many people just think its a sample of Robin S. "Show me Love".

The song show me love the beat sounds like Don't Wanna Go Home from Jason Derülo
Charli XCX’s Used to Know Me honestly sounds a lot more like Show Me Love than Break My Soul lol

i knew it when i heard it.
Thank you @Luxxury for this breakdown/explanation. As an ol Skool House Head. I was trying my best to hear the "Show me Love" sampling.
I think the sample is closer to Robin s ‘love for love’.

BEYONCÉ IS A BUSINESS WOMAN with plenty of lawyers and money. PERIODT.
There are hundreds of 90s house songs with this similar production lowkey.
Homage ❤
Lol, I felt the song was too familiar but didn't know why
Show Me Love was on the radio when I was a kid in the 90's and I knew I heard a familiar baseline in Break My Soul. Thanks for confirming this
I thought you were Tyler Oakley
hey dude thanks for actually teaching us things based on music theory I appreciate you a lot.
Its a sample i heard show me love when i heard beyonces version
Thumbs up for DJ Stonebridge!
That sound can be achieved in xfer serum or maybe sampling the originao
I said before when something is out there and remakes been going since the end of time.
Honestly B should have redone Show Me Love, but probably would have led to assumptions regarding Jay Z!
I like both songs, very good. Show me love 1st.
I think she just copied the beat that's it she used to be that's a old beat
But God forbid Kelis gets any credit
Nando Reis é você?!? Fito Paez sos vos, che?! 🤣🤣🤣✊🏻
